"I believe I can fly! I believe I can touch the sky!—" Evelyn yells as she exits the school buildings, Lucas and Evelyn on either side of me.

"Shut the fuck up" Lucas grumbles and rubs his face in annoyance.

"No. I BELIEVE I CAN FLY! I BELIEVE I CAN TOUCH THE SKY! I THINK ABOUT IT EVERY NIGHT AND—" Evelyn starts with her awful singing, this time purposely yelling into Lucas' face.

I place my hand over her mouth and just send her a blank look.

Evelyn just rolls her eyes before aggressively yanking my hand away from her mouth.

"Do you not believe you can fly? we're literally done with almost all our exams, we had our last one today and we're done. Do you get that? We can be free now for a few weeks" Evelyn babbles on.

"I just can't stop thinking about whether I did good or not, I had my chemistry one today and I'm scared of how well I did" I grumble and run my hands through my hair.

"I'm sure you did fine, Didn't you mention how Dante was good at explaining all the concepts to you?" Evelyn asks.

"Well, yeah...But I'm still worried"

"I'm sure you did great, when have you ever gotten a bad grade in any of your subjects?" Evelyn laughs.

"I've never been been the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to Chemistry" I mumble.

"I still don't understand why you chose that subject if you're so bad at it" Lucas states.

"I didn't know it was going to be this hard" I answer.

"Well, I'm heading back home to take a fat nap, we should plan something fun to do over the holidays"Lucas suggests while he walks to his car.

Evelyn and I nod our heads before waving him goodbye.

"Evelyn, I need to talk to you about something stupid I did" I say fidgeting with my hands.

Since we didn't have any time to talk during the midterms, I never really had the chance to tell her about what happened when Dante had come over a few days back.

"Hold on, before you tell me anything. Let's go sit in the field, No ones there" She states.

We walked back to the entrance of the building and pushed open the doors to the field.

"What did you do now?" Evelyn asks

"You're making it sound like I always do bad things" I roll my eyes, smacking her on the forehead playfully.

"Can you tell me already?" Evelyn pushes eagerly.

"So you know how Dante was tutoring me for Chemistry right? Well he was testing my knowledge on what I had learnt so far and he said to make it more interesting he'll make it into a game" I start off.

"Ohh, girl. We all know how that would end up" She giggles, wiggling her eyebrows.

I completely ignore her comment and continued with my story.

"Well, he decided to make up a game where if I get an answer wrong then he asks me a question, and vice versa. So I got an answer right and I decided to ask him whether he regretted anything from the night of the vacation and—"

"What?! Out of all the questions that you could have asked him first, you asked him that? so you were jumping right into it huh?" She teases smirking at me.

I narrow my eyes at her, shifting my gaze to the grass on the field. Unconsciously pulling at the grass.

"Yeah, Whatever. He said that he didn't regret anything and then he asked me if I did, and I just said that I didn't know and that I was confused" I continue.

"Why would you say that—" I cut Evelyn's comment off by placing my hand over her mouth.

"Anyways, he then leans in and we kiss" I finish.

Evelyn's eyes widen and she slowly removes my hand off her mouth, she was staring at me agape.

"Girl, Isn't this your third or fourth time kissing him?" She asks.

"No, it's only happened twice" I shake my head in denial.

"Okay but you guys still kissed" Evelyn says looking at me like I lost my mind.

"I don't know what's wrong with me, Evelyn. Why am I making it into such a big deal. It's not a big deal. It's just a stupid meaningless kiss" I grumble rubbing my face with my hands in frustration.

"Sure, if that's what you believe it is" Evelyn shrugs.

"You're not helping here" I sigh.

"I'm just saying what I think is true, I'm not really a fan of lying" She smiles.

"I'm going home, we'll talk later about any plans we can make with Lucas and Kiera over the break" I state, standing up from the grass and dusting my butt

"Yeah, I need to help my mom with dinner" Evelyn nods her head and gets off the grass as well, we both walk out of the field and into the school hallways.

"I need to get some stuff from my locker, you can go" I smile at Evelyn and wave her goodbye. She nods her head, waves me goodbye before disappearing out into the parking lot.

I got out all the stuff I needed before walking out into the school parking lot once again. Everyone had gone home, only a few cars still in the parking lot.

I start heading to my car when I'm stopped by someone.

"Anaïs, can I talk to you for a second"

Not him again...

"No" I state not even bothering to look at Ian.

"Please babe, I'm sorry for what I said to you, for calling you a slut and spreading fake rumours" He starts off, pleading.

"Ian, first of all school just closed. I don't want you ruining my mood right now, I've told you this before and I don't mind telling you this again and again until you get this through your head. I'm done with you and your nonsense. So please for the love of God, leave me alone. And don't ever call me babe again" I reply.

"But I've changed. I promise. I'll do better. What I did that night was a misunderstanding, I didn't mean to—" he goes on with his empty apologies.

"Oh so you're telling me that, during the party you didn't mean to end up naked with your dick half shoved into a girls vagina? yeah okay, sure. I don't care if you changed or not because I don't give cheaters a second chance. Now please, just leave me alone" I grit out.

I may have come off as a bit too rude but that's not my fault, he isn't getting the hint. It's been months since the break up. He needs to learn how to accept the fact that I don't want to get back with him and maybe he can take his cheating ass somewhere that's not in a 10 mile radius of me.

"Please" Ian begs gripping onto my hand firmly preventing me from walking away.

"Let go of my hand right now or I'll scream" I threaten.

"Just give me a second chance, I promise I won't fuck it up this time. Please" Ian shakes his head looking at me, a glint in his eyes that made me shift uncomfortably. He pulls at my hand closer forcing me to step closer to him.

"You're crazy" I shake my head at him in disgust before trying to rip my hand away from his hold.

"Let go on my fucking hand, Ian" I grit out and glare at him.

"Anaïs, I just want you to—" Ian starts but is soon cut off by someone.

"Is everything alright here?" Dante asks, his eyes shifting from Ian to to his strong grip on my wrist, then up at me.

"No, he—" I start but got cut off by Ian.

"Yeah everything is fine, you can go" Ian states, glaring at Dante.

No, please don't go. I don't like when Dante's around but right now I really don't want to be alone with Ian.

"Nah, I'd rather stay" Dante smirk, taunting Ian.

"Just let go of her hand. it's not that hard, she clearly is over you, why are you still even trying" Dante states, his eyes fixated on Ian's grip on my wrist. I'm sure as hell it was going to bruise now.

"Why don't you go mind your own business?" Ian spits standing straight to look more taller, but it had no effect on Dante's 6'3 frame.

"Because you're clearly harassing her, let her go and I'll leave" Dante states, holding a death stare with Ian.

Ian must have gotten distracted and loosened his grip on my wrist, using that as my opportunity I ripped my hand away from his and out of reflex I slapped him across the face.

"You're disgusting." I scowl at Ian.

From the corner of my eyes I saw Dante with his mouth wide open before he closes it shut, an amused smile resting on his lips.

"Anaïs—" Ian starts, trying to grab onto my hand again but I stepped back and moved my hands away.

"You know what you look like? you look like those desperate clingy psycho ex boyfriends." Dante laughs.

Ian moved to punch Dante in the face but Dante was quick enough to move away from Ian's punch.

"Wow, chill out. I'm not in the mood to fight right now" Dante says, smirking at a frustrated Ian.

"Anaïs, I love you so much. Please just give me another chance" Ian says turning to me.

Uh...now that's awkward.

"Ian, just leave please. I'll text you" I lie

Ian stares at me for a few uncomfortable seconds before nodding and walking to his car and driving off.

"Anaïs, I love you so much. Give me another chance please" Dante mimics and mocks Ian, before bursting out laughing.

I just roll my eyes before walking to my car, Dante following me.

"Are you actually going to text him?" Dante asks.

"Why do you care?" I ask him raising an eyebrow at him, I unlock the car before throwing my backpack into the back seat.

"I don't, I'm just curious" Dante shrugs, leaning against my car. I open the door to the drivers side but never got in.

"No, I'm not going to text him. I blocked his number months back" I answer.

Dante stares at me for a second before he starts laughing all over again, his laugh being a bit contagious making me let out a chuckle.

"What are you doing here anyways? I thought you would be the first person to go home once school closed" I ask.

"I would have been but I needed to talk to one of my teachers" Dante shrugs.

"Well, um thank you for helping me back there. I didn't need your help but it's still appreciated" I joke.

Dante just rolls his eyes before leaning away from my car and shoving his hands into his pockets.

"I'll see you later" Dante says.

"No you won't" I reply back getting into my car.

"Yes you will, I'm staying over at your place" Dante says, patting the hood of my car before walking over to his car and driving off.

I groan and shut my door before resting my head on the steering wheel. I sometimes hate that Cohen and Dante are friends.

Who am I lying to. No I don't.

I start my car and drove out of the school parking lot heading back home.
