The ride back home was disappointing and a lot sad.

Rae wanted to stay at Sykkuno's for the weekend with the rest of the clan, have fun, chill out and pull each other's legs if even. She's going to pretty jealous about all the insta stories and pics, tweets and snaps, but she just couldn't stay there.

She was absolutely infuriated by a guy who was also going to be around the clan, and she'd rather miss everything than be a part of a nasty fight.

Because she was sure that she'd fight James, the moment he spoke anything stupid about them.

'You know that by letting a guy control over your emotions, you're letting him take hold of your decisions too.' Corpse said, breaking the silence in the car ride. His deep voice, still resonated his deep affection towards her and Rae sighed.

Corpse was like her younger brother. And more often than not, he'd be looking out for her and vice-versa.

'You do know Toast was already mocking him yesterday.' She said, resting her head against the headrest as Corpse lowered the volume on the music system. 'And even Sykkuno seemed pretty upset, and you were trying your best to ignore it, but failing...' She raised her brow, tilting her head towards him.

Corpse let out a smile, he looked really blissful when he did but he hardly did smile.

'Yes. James, is...' Corpse hesitated, 'A little difficult.'

'I'm sorry?'

'Okay. A lot difficult.' He said, chuckling at Rae's reaction. 'But he's Sykkuno's brother. Twin, in fact.' Corpse said, shrugging. 'There's nothing much to do than accept.'

'I know! It's only because of Sykkuno that I didn't scream at his arrogant twin.' She shut her eyes, groaning. 'Why couldn't his twin be a nice, wholesome, sweet guy just like him. Why does he have to be so difficult.'

'It is what it is.' He winked at her, imitating one of Rae's running gags.

The rest of the ride was silent. Rae was asleep already being tired of the late night happenings, while Corpse rolled the windows of Toast's car in the hopes of not being recognized. If they'd notice Rae, they'd notice him too.

However Rae knew that and hence had drawn a scarf over her face before sleeping, she didn't want Corpse to be uncomfortable in any possible way.

When she finally reached her apartment building, she thanked Corpse and he beamed back at her.

'Yesterday was so much fun.' Rae said, as Corpse helped her with her bag. 'We should do this again! Just as Amigops.'

'We should. We should.' He replied and hugged the tiny tired girl. They parted ways and Rae walked upstairs to her room, already feeling sad to have left Sykkuno's party.

But the moment she entered her apartment, the neighbor's door opened and Mika literally ran into her arms, almost knocking her over. He licked her face and all the gloominess just vanished.

Maybe it wasn't that bad.

'Yes yes.' Rae said, smiling at the angry and upset chat. 'I am sorry, I had other things to do.'

The tweets of the twitch streamers, especially Imane, Jack's and Tina's, pictures of travelling buddies Janet and Leslie, Ash and Tina and stories of Sykkuno shyly hugging Ludwig and Jack was resurfacing over the internet. Everyone were pretty much on their toes for each new related tweet or snap.

Everyone were so excited and happy for the union of all the squad they see streaming and many of them were already in awe of the pre dinner pictures. However even though they were all so happy to get pictures of the squad, they obviously noticed the absence of both Valkyrae and Corpse.

Corpse was kinda excused because he wasn't well lately and probably wasn't comfortable going maskless but Rae? They all tweeted to her, inquiring if everything was okay with her, or whether Sykkuno didn't invite her or she rejected his invitation and such other assumptions as these.

The flooding notifications on twitter and dms on Insta made her do a quick reddit recap for her impatient followers who needed answers.

'What other thing could be as important as this?' She read one of the chat and chuckled. 'Like this! Doing an unexpected reddit recap and talking to you guys. I see this as something important, right?'

Few of them sent crying emojis while many laughed. She soon went on reddit and although she wasn't quite in the mood to continue the stream, she did.

'No,' She clarified. 'Sykkuno would never not invite me.' She said answering their questions. 'And I don't think I need an invitation to go visit him, you know.' She said, smiling at the cam. 'He's my solid Amigop.'

'Did something happen then?' She spoke out loud, 'No. No.' She lied, 'I mean yea, something did happen but not anything negative.' She laughed, folding her arms as the questions now furiously increased.

'Whoa. Whoa.' She said looking at the what happened streak. 'You guys need to calm down because it wasn't anything negative. I just wanted to say that Corpse, Toast, Sykkuno and I were together last evening. We had a lazy cozy Amigops dinner and some playtime afterwards. Then Corpse had some work and I had Mika, so we left while Toast stayed back.'

Everyone watching her were now happy to know that the Amigops were together still and even better that they were all together last night.

'Did you see Corpse?' They asked.

'Did I see Corpse?' She rolled her eyes, making a face at them. 'No. He ate dinner with a mask on. Come on guys.'

The chats now either awed and marvelled upon this news or asked about the next thing on their minds.

'Pictures?' She read the new streak and Rae laughed again. 'We did click many pictures.' She emphasized on many, 'But only Corpse can upload it.' She shrugged, while they all groaned but understood it.

'Corpse, Corpse if you're seeing this.' Rae said, eyeing the cam and nodding, 'We all, my chat and me, are waiting for you to upload a picture of us from last night. Okay? You have my blessings.' She chuckled.

She scrolled the through the reddit page while her phone kept blinking from all the notifications and when she glanced at it quickly, her eyes popped on seeing a picture Corpse uploaded which was taking on the internet like a storm.

That wasn't a bigger concern though. Because she just got a text from an umknown number.

Hey. James here.

And the picture of the Amigops was sidelined.
