And then a slashing sound was heard on one screen while the kill was recorded on the other.

There was a two second silence.

Sykkuno blinked twice, eyeing the screen and then he sighed meanwhile Rae who had just killed him, vented in the dark.

Her laughter resonated on her live stream, the users watching her were laughing with her while Sykkuno took a deep breath again and pouted.

Rae had killed him again for the third time in a row, and this time he couldn't even complete his sentence.

'Rae, you're a psychopath.' Sykkuno muffled a laugh, hiding his smile behind his hands. 'Everyone can vouch for that.'

On the other hand, Rae pretended to do a task and giggled. 'He probably thinks I'm a psychopath.' She said, winking at the screen and laughed again.

Everyone knew about the feud Sykkuno and Rae shared and they were so sure of it being Rae, that she was voted off instantly.

Both of them laughed, Rae eating a burger while talking to few of her live streamers and Sykkuno thanking some for their subs.

The game was on and Rae and Sykkuno kept their dead chats on while few others who got killed joined in.

Pretty soon everyone who were dead asked Sykkuno about the new guest who had arrived but before he could answer the game was over and Rae's partner, Toast, singlehandedly won the round.

They all gathered in the lobby. Toast boasting on how he was a super genius and Leslie and Tina were singing loudly to drown his noise. Meanwhile Hafu and Ludwig were discussing whether they should exchange their avatars and Rae was all ready, to kill and to work.

Rae noticed that Sykkuno who normally wiggled and wobbled around the lobby was quietly still in a corner. She and Corpse went towards the green little thing and circled around it.

'Sykkuno. Sykkuno.' Rae chirped, she was in a very good mood actually.

Why wouldn't she be.

She had just won content creator of the year last week, her family was super proud of her and were going to visit her soon and she was finally over her ex, something she never thought she would.

Life was getting better.

'Sykkuno.' Corpse said in his loud voice. 'Is he dead or something?'

'Here. No.' Rae replied, the red and black figures were still circling the green thing. 'But in the game, he soon will be.'

Corpse chuckled, 'As long as it's not Babushka, I'm fine with you two.'

Leslie, Toast and Lud overheard their conversation and all of them started screaming, 'Babushka, Babushka.' They were all teasing Rae and Sykkuno but the word was coined in such a way that everyone started running around in the lobby, faking that their scared.

Rae laughed, holding her burger as she took another bite.

This little group of friends were so much more to her than just associates now. There was a time where she was a nobody, a struggling gamer trying her best to outshine in this already established world. Then she met these stupid idiotic and cute individuals who were so different than her, yet in this huge world they all found each other.

She laughed again as Jack ran around Sykkuno too, 'Babushka, Sykkuno. Where are you.' Jack Septiceye said, 'We need you to Babushka Rae, here.'

'Did someone say Babushka?' Sykkuno suddenly chimed in and everyone was startled at his voice, especially Rae who almost choked on the burger.

There were another set of screaming and shouting and the users were having just as fun as they all did.

'Oh Jesus!' Ludwig and Leslie both screamed.

'I am officially scared.' Corpse said in his deep dark voice.

'Um, you don't sound like it.' Toast added, laughing. 'Maybe try it in a not so Batman voice.' He said. 'As Lily's.'

'Or Mine!' Tine said.

Sykkuno laughed, 'Anyway guys. Seems like this is the last one for me today.'

The moment he said that everyone collectively groaned, Corpse exaggerated his no and Rae mumbled with mouth full.

'No. We just started, Sykkuno.' Toast said, wondering what was wrong.

'Yes. But Rae keeps killing me anyway. So I figured I should leave.' Sykkuno joked, smiling.

'Rae. Rae promise him that you won't do something as such.' Toast immediately said.

'We'll vote Rae out.' Poki added, 'Don't you go.'

Rae gasped, itching back from her chair and opening her door. 'Imane, I swear I'll kill you.' She screamed to her roommate who laughed on hearing her voice from the other room.

'Well, we'll vote her out.' Jack and Ludwig agreed too.

'I won't kill ya, Sykkuno. Don't leave.'

Sykkuno laughed, completely overwhelmed by these group of friends. 'Oh guys. It's not that. It's not Rae.' He paused to hold his laughter, 'I have a guest at home today. So I'll have to leave.'

There was another set of aahs and oohs and Rae and Toast enquiring who the special person is. Sykkuno laughed, shaking his head. 'It's not a her guys.'

'So it's a him!' Rae quickly said, her voice raised in excitement. 'Aww.'

Sykkuno laughed again. 'Haha. Nothing as such. Actually it's my...'

But before Sykkuno could complete his statement, then all heard a different voice speak and the unfamiliarity made them shut up.

'Hey T, you're still onto your gaming thing?' The newbie said, Sykkuno had forgotten to put himself on mute. 'When will you grow up and let such playthings go, T.' The voice held contempt and mockery and everyone who heard, including the millions of users fumed at his statement.

'Um, J.' Sykkuno cleared his throat, 'Just a second.' He said. 'Gotta say goodbye.'

The J guy scoffed.

And pretty soon Sykkuno bade them an awkward goodbye, apologized if they misheard something and left.

Everyone else let it slide, especially Corpse who knew the equation between the newbie and Sykkuno but Rae was fuming.

How dare he call her job a plaything? And how could he mock them?

And did he scoff?

Rae sipped the drink in her hand, feeling all the more furious yet silent.

He should not have scoffed.
