All though everyone around Jschlatt was silent, a small chatter could be heard by only the ears of Technoblade. It sounded like a soft humming in his ear, and it was starting to really get on his damn nerves.

He looked around slightly, trying to pin point the location on which the voices were coming from, and found them on top of a building that over looked the stage area. He saw a head of blonde hair, a beanie, and a suit.

Tommy, Wilbur and Tubbo.

He nudged Vienna slightly with his elbow, gaining her attention that was full of hatred and anger, and pointed towards the building. She smiled.

"They are with Tubbo?" Vienna asks, moving to stare into Technos blue eyes, enhanced by his tanned skin from working in the potato fields all his life. Technoblade nodded, and refocused on Schlatt and waited for his next move, inching forward in front of Vienna ever so slightly, protecting her without her realizing.

"I would like for everyone to take their seats," Jschlatt said, waving his hands over the area, and everyone followed his orders. Technoblade and Vienna noticed they were the only ones not sitting down, and Schlatt was waiting, it was awkward as they two outsiders made their way to the one empty chair in the front row. Technoblade motioned for Vienna to sit down, as her legs were shaking from her nervousness. She nodded her head in appreciation.

The horned man nodded as the two took their place, and continued, but Vienna didn't listen to him, she was too occupied with watching the people around her closely. She didn't listen to Jschlatt until he said something that spiked her interest.

"I would like for Tubbo to come up- where is Tubbo, actually?" the blak haired man was confused, as was everyone else as the brunette haired boy walked from out from behind the building where Tommy and Wilbur were positioned, watching the festival going on below them.

The pit in Viennas gut was growing as the boy passed by the front row of seats, everyone staring the teenager down as he walked up to be at Schlatt's right hand, Quackity on his left. Tubbo looked shaken, nervous, and kind of distracted, stealing glances up at the rooftop of the building. Schlatt looked annoyed, but when his hand clasped around the boy's shoulder, the look went away as quick as it came.

"Tubbo here," the horned man said, shaking the boy gently. "Has a speech, and before the festival begins- I would like to hear it!" a chorus of applause erupted from the crowd surrounding Vienna and Technoblade, though they did not join in.

"So, without further ado, I think I'll put big man Tubbo on the mic?" Schlatt turns to the brown haired boy, handing the microphone to him as he dug out a piece of paper from his suit pocket. "Please, give us your speech!" and Schlatt stands to the side, watching the boy intently.

"Umm- yes-" but before he could continue, Schlatt interrupted him.

"I swear to god Tubbo, if you say any state secrets- If any state secrets come out of your mouth- it'll be the end." he says, patting the boy on the shoulder, Tubbo jumped and nodded his head, mouthing an okay before turning back to the microphone to give his speech.

"Um well- a wise man once told me that L'Manburg was like a lettuce. It has so many layers of tasty and healthy goodness, and once you wash all the caterpillars and worms from the surface, it a pretty goddamn good meal," Tubbo said, only a taking a few glances at his paper, Schlatt and Quackity- even if Quackity was under the influence of alcohol- and everyone else clapped for that part of the speech. This time, Vienna had a smile on her face, pride for the boy she had watched grow up for the past years she knew him.

One thing that wasn't really common knowledge, was that Vienna and Tubbo, before Vienna left for three and a half years and the Dream City versus L'Manburg war, were really close. She and the boy had hit it off straight from the get go, right when Vienna first met Tubbo. She cared for him like he was her own blood, part of her family. Even after the war, their two nations were always against each other for no reason other than because they could, they stayed together. Of course they were distant, but it was better than being completely far away from each other. Vienna couldn't help but feel joy for Tubbo as he spoke to the crowd in front of him, smiling at his friends.

But everyone knew he missed Tommy and Wilbur.

Tubbo continued. "Schlatt has successfully washed all the insects off our great nation, and with that he's allowed the good and tastiness to shine through." more applause, and more pride. Vienna didn't even care that Tubbo was talking about Tommy, Wilbur, Technoblade and herself, referring to them as insects. She knew he was on her side, their side of this revolution.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I want you to look around you at what we've built today. Look at each other, all of this, thanks to democracy- and the leadership of Jschlatt." The boy gestures to the horned individual beside him. People cheered and clapped, showing their agreement to his statements. The outcasts, however, did not. "And isn't that what this festival is all about? Democracy. Our people have been beaten down by royals, and by dictators for so long! Now? We are finally free. Free to elect who want, free to live how we want, and most importantly, free to go wherever we want without the confines of those huge, black walls." Tubbo wasn't reading off the paper anymore.

He believed this, through and through, he believed that without the walls- Marburg was better. That, should the revolution work and they overthrow and kill Jschlatt, L'Manburg would be better.

"And with that in mind, I would like to thank everyone for coming to this wonderful event-" laughing cut him off. "What's wrong Schlatt?" Tubbo asked nervously, microphone still in his hands. Schlatts laugh could be heard, even from his far away position from the boy.

"Nothing-" The president sighs, running his hand down his horns. "I was just thinking about it Tubbo- You really like to have fun- you have anything left in the speech, big guy?" He refers to the boy, his secretary of state, as a term used for children.

"Uh, no! Let the festival begin!"

Up on the roof top of a white building overlooking the stage where Tubbo stood, a man who wore a beanie waited impatiently inside, looking through the windows for the words that would trigger an explosion inside the man. He waited for 'let the festival begin,' and when he heard it, he had a huge, psychotic smile spread from ear to ear, and left a blonde boy on the rooftop alone. Tommy had no clue that Wilbur had gone out the back, and snuck around, looking for something that would end this all. He didn't even hear the talk of the man he sought to destroy, the voice of Jschlatt echoing around the entire area. He couldn't hear the man identifying the boy who had been a spy for many months now, the boy who trusted his own life in Wilburs hands.

Wilbur was far too occupied with his search to be concerned for those he had on the field.

The man looked for a room, a room filled with signs and cracked stone, vines growing around the corners from how long it had been lying in wait, for how long it had been untouched, even from the often visited the man paid it. Yet, the man couldn't find the room he searched desperately for. Instead, after ten or so minutes, the man came back to Manburg, and rejoined Tommy on the rooftop.

Back on the stage, Tubbo was encased in a box made of a bright yellow substance, fear evident in his eyes. Moments earlier, he had been compromised as a spy for Pogtopia, now he faced the crowd as some saw the next moves before they were made, and some were too emotional to even comprehend the situation. But one thing was clear in everyone's mind. Tubbo was going to die at any moment, it's just a matter of who pulls the trigger.

"Technoblade! Vienna! I'd like for both of you to please, come up here!" Jschlatts voice rattled deep within everyone's bones as the two outcasts walked up to the stage, hesitant as they both stood beside each other, Vienna being pushed behind Technoblade ever so slightly, but the protective gesture gave Schlatt a nasty idea.

"Dearest Vienna?" he said sweetly, making the woman face him with angry eyes, but the tears in them undermined her exterior emotions, for the dark haired man had taken them as saddeness. "Stand in front of Tubbo, now." his voice was low, dipped in the poison that was his intimidation.
Vienna was, and wasn't afraid of the man, but she knew she was outnumbered, she knew she would be killed even with the help of Technoblade and her many daggers that obviously proved futile as of now. Still, she removed herself from the safety of the pink haired man in front of her, and moved to face the frightened boy.

She gently pulled Tubbo into a fierce hug, whispering in his ear softly as she felt his tear on her cheek.

"Technoblade is on our side, he won't hurt us." she felt many pairs of eyes on the back of her head, and felt the boards around her shift as thumping of Technoblade's golden boots made contact with the floor. She moved away from the boy, feeling the regret spilling from the man who faced her. She heard the voices around her speaking, but they all blurred together in her mind, all melting into the same voice. She smiled at Tubbo sadly, knowing that what she had said was a lie. A sweet, fatal lie, that she hopped brought some sort of calm to the racing heart that was Tubbo's.

Vienna turned away from the boy, but leaned back, protecting him the best she possibly could. She knew what was going to happen, and she was willing to lose her life, so the boy behind her could live through his.

The dark haired woman met the tearful gaze of blue eyes, not as dark as hers, but a nice, calming blue of the ocean, the mask he wore being strapped to his belt. She met the gaze of a man who she'd had the pleasure of meeting. She met the gaze of Technoblade as he did as Schlatt had instructed, and loaded his crossbow. A tear slipped down her face as Vienna watched as the arrow pointed itself right at her chest, the hand holding it shaking.

"Vienna-" Technoblade whispered, lowering the crossbow ever so slightly as Schlatt told him to fire, his anger festering. The man with the bow didn't listen, however, he only looked into the hurricane of emotion in the eyes he prayed would open not but two days ago.

"Vienna, I have to do this-" he said, closing his eyes hard as the dark haired female in front of him nodded, already knowing what he would say. She knew this was what was going to happen, like she felt this morning, something bad was going to happen today.

"I know- I know." she said softly, the tears flowing freely as Schlatt shouted, and people were protesting. People who wanted Vienna out of this country, who wanted anyone who Jschlatt deemed unworthy of being in this great nation were even shouting for this to stop, but their shouts went unheard.

But none of that mattered to the woman and the calmed, but broken, voice came from the lips that brought her back to life.

"I'm so sorry.." and she nodded, and she cried in her mind. She wanted to defend herself as the sobs from behind her increased, and the shouts from below her pounded in her ears. She wanted to scream at the top of her lungs, and break away from everything that was holding her captive in this moment. Yet she didn't.

Vienna knew Tubbo had one life left, and she had two. She had the lives to spare, whilst Tubbo did not. While she had a slim chance of escaping with her two, precious lives, she knew she could protect the boy behind her, and the man in front of her. She knew she could be selfless, and she could be good, she could be seen as not a monster, but someone who can be seen as a person.

And when she closed her eyes, and the sounds around her disappeared completely, she knew she was okay. That she'd be okay.

And when she felt her lips open in a smile, and the soft sound of her voice floated into the air, she was okay with what she had said.

"Do it Techno, I'll be okay." and the man did. He shot his crossbow straight through her body, and straight through into Tubbos heart.

Vienna didn't feel any pain, and heard no noise. She only felt free, and she felt okay.

She only felt her body slowly disintegrate into nothing more than a faint dust, a small fragment of the universe around her. She was in a dream where the only thing she was aware of, was peace.

She didn't see as Tommy threw an enderpearl down to the stage, trying to grab Tubbo as she faded away.

She didn't feel when the gears shifted in Technoblade, and he took his rage out on everyone in the area, killing everyone who forced his hand.

He killed every single audience member, including the President and Vice president beside him. The only people he spared were Tommy, Tubbo and Wilbur- though Tubbo may not survive.

All around Technoblade, the bodies of everyone laid on the floor, gasping for the life they barely held onto, blood pouring out of the gaping holes in their bodies, and spilling from their mouths, right before they ultimately succumbed to their injuries. Tecnoblade had killed 12 people, one out of force, and the rest out of rage.

Technoblade was no hero, he was only a man.

And men were no match for the overpoweration of the heart, and the pain of loss.
