Standing on the hill facing Manburg feels, off. It feels like I shouldn't be here.

Technoblade is positioned to my left, Tommy to my right, the others filed up beside them. Tommy stands center, holding his sword tightly as he inhales. I lay my hand on his shoulder, the sun just barely falling behind the clouds. It gives us enough shade for cover, and enough light to see. We as a group stare out over the plaza area of Manburg, seeing the small stands still set up even months after the festival, and no Jschlatt in sight.

We don't even see Dream yet.

"Where is he?" I hear someone ask, their voice sounding distorted, like their mouth was covered. It came from Fundy who wore a bandana over his face, ears ducking down under his hat. He wasn't wearing a helmet. Now that I look at it, no one is. Fundy eyes stay uncovered, allowing me to be able to see his eyes move from left to right, looking over the land for the ones were supposed to be going against.

I followed his line of sight, ghosting over the shadowed parts of Manburg, the parts that lacked color and saw nothing. I followed the slight bits of water that flowed inside the plaza where the election podium was, and saw no one there, the place seemed abandoned..

At first, I thought we had the wrong date, the wrong time. I thought we were freaking out for no reason, but a small glint of metal caught my eye, and I saw the first arrow being fired at our group.

"Get down!" I shout, pushing whoever I could get my arms around on the ground, those two people being Technoblade and Tommy. Seeing as they were the closest to me. The others followed suit, everyone getting down or to some sort of cover. I hear Tommy's breathing become erratic, and Technoblade just simple looking for anything, anything at all.

After a few moments, another arrow comes flying through the air, and finds a home in the dirt right beside my hand. It would've gone through it if Technoblade wasn't faster, positioning his golden gauntlet over top my hand to stop the sharp point from piercing my skin.

My heart stops for only a moment, realizing what just happened. I turn my head to the pink haired man settled beside me, and nod my head in thanks, my body not wanted to cooperate with my mind at the moment to form words. Techno understands it seems, as he returns the favor.

More arrows start to pelt the earth where we are, and it isn't a good spot to be. I try and find a good way to go about this, but my mind is always caught up by the constant fear of an arrow stabbing through my mind.

"Lay down some goddamn cover fire!" Tommy shouts, scooting closer to me and Techno, the pink haired man inching as close as he can to me and the blond boy. He protects us with his armor, the arrows ripping holes in his cloak. He was borderline laying on top of both Tommy and I, taking hits from the raining arrows. The first arrow from our side sends me up, pushing Technoblade off of me, and grabbing both his and Tommy's arms, dragging them behind a large rock jutting out of the mountain. I shove Tommy to the middle, seeing him bump into Technoblade shoulder as I draw my bow and arrows stored in my quiver.

Niki, Fundy, and Quackity are all firing into the sky, to a large tower that overlooked the entire land below them. I was thinking they were behind the podium, not in the fucking skies!

"We need to get up there!" I shout, and see the others nod, some already sneaking to the tower entrance as the archers above us focused on the ones shooting at them. "Technoblade, Tommy, get up to the tower!" the two nod, and set off when I nod. They run, dodging arrows that fell from the heavens. I don't exactly have a good reputation with arrows, seeing as I almost died from them in the first war, but I could at least shoot the damn thing.

I lined my next shot up directly at the point where they seemed closest, nearest to the side closest to Manburg. I spot four heads, more then Technoblade and Tommy could take alone, well, maybe Techno could handle his own. Tommy probably couldn't.

So I decide to go up with them, help out where I could that wasn't on the ground. So I decide to rush the arrows, and make it inside to see Tommy and Technoblade climbing a tall ladder with their swords attached to their sides, Techno's cloak flowing freely as he climbs with Tommy below him.

I look out one more time, seeing none of our people have been hit just yet, and still see Niki and Fundy firing into the sky. Though, I don't think the arrows ever reach the targets. I see Quackity notice me, and see his thoughts before he does. I nod, and the man comes running, Niki, Fundy and Tubbo in tow behind him.

Wilbur is missing again..

"Where's" Niki interrupts, shrugging the bow over her shoulders.

"He disappeared again, went down to the plaza as soon as the arrows started." the woman says in an annoyed tone. "Its like he knew before we did!" Niki shouts, throwing her arms up as Technoblade and Tommy reach the top of the ladder, I hear the familiar screech of metal on metal. I hold the information Niki had told me in my mind, nodding as I pull my sword from its sheath.

"Lets get up there, maybe we'll see him from up there." Niki nods, going for the ladder as I stand back with the other three. "Stay here, guard the-" they don't let me finish.

"On it!" They shout in unison, going towards the three openings in the tower, one man at each. I nod once more, then go to the ladder, sword still in hand as I go two at a time. I'm so glad this thing seems to be bolted to the wall.

I hope.

By the time I reach the top of the ladder, I see the flowing red cloak fly off the ledge of the tower, I stare through the many tears and holes as it slowly descends. I'm out, swinging my sword at the first person I see, that person ending up being someone I don't recognize. He had jet black eyes, green hair and eyebrows that appeared to be natural, and marks on his face and arms that seemed to resemble explosion burns, but were colored different hues of green. He wore golden armor, though the way he had welded it seemed to fortify it so that it was stronger, lasted longer.

I swing at him, and he smiles, canines filed into points. "Nice to meet you, Vienna. I'm Sam." he says casually, as if we were friends, as if we weren't in the middle of a battle. But my main question is how did he know my name just by a swing of my sword, because it doesn't seem like Dream, Sapnap or Punz were up here.

Instead there were others that I didn't recognize, but I focus on the man in front of me.

"The feelings mutual." I reply, lunging at him, sword pointed at his arms and sides. He backs away, a smile still on his face as he counters my attack. He swings for my neck, but I block before it could do damage. We carry on with a tedious battle of blocks and swings that never land their intended target, I don't run into one of my friends, or even see their feet shift back into the tower. I guess they were all battling their own person at the moment.

I don't realize that I got distracted looking for my friends, and Sam takes advantage of that fact. He successfully slices a mark on my right arm, cutting right through my skin, I think the gods that it wasn't my heart. I hiss in pain, holding the wound with my opposite hand, I feel the warm blood seeping through my fingers as it slowly drips down my arm. Sam smiles, and steps back, surprisingly. He steps up on the ledge of the tower, an turns to face me, sword slightly covered in a smudge of blood,

"Pleasure." and falls backwards off the tower, disappearing from sight. Despite my current situation, and ignoring the fact that he was my enemy, I run to the edge faster then I thought I could, dropping my sword in the process.

I don't see the golden armor, nor the green hair anywhere, but I do find see three others dropping from the sky, shooting arrows the ledge they just jumped off of. I back away, dark hair whipping past my head as the arrow just barely passes by my cheek, a small cut left in its wake. My heart is racing as I lean against the wall behind me, the cool stone cooling my burning lungs as they expand with each labored breath. I can't see clearly, and I feel lightheaded.

I hear shouts coming from both sides of body, see two pairs of hands grip onto my body as I heave in each breath. My own hands shake as I gently lay them on the ones that have a hold on my shoulders. Their small, feminine.

Niki.

"Vienna?! Can you hear me?" Nihachu shouts, looking at the smudged blood left on the backside of her hand, then back to me as I try to calm down. I manage to see straight, not sure why I started to panic. I can see the shape of Niki's face, the soft curve of her eyes and hair, and I find myself smiling.

"Niki.." I whispered, internally cringing at the way my voice sounds as it echoes through my own ears, it seems too loud, but for some reason I know it isn't. I see the woman's eyes crinkle at the sides, meaning she smiled, and then she focuses back on my arm, I guess she saw the bloodied bit of cloth under the armor.

She hisses, and digs in her bag she somehow had acquired. Last I checked it was with Tubbo, at least I think. Another voice enters my mind as I feel myself slowly slide down the wall into a seating position now. I feel sick, like my own body is trying to turn itself inside out. The voice is deeper, male, and it comes from the right. Or was it left? I can't tell. I see the outline of dark armor, neon blue emitting from the sides, white, red and pink blobs floating around the blue light. The figure shifts to two different blobs of color, either meaning Tommy was here, or I'm seeing shit.

The shifting colors that were the woman Niki, started to speak again, but I only picked up on two words, and had no clue to what they were referring to, maybe I should've been paying attention..

Poison and sword. That's what I hear Nihachu say before holding a bottle of a pink liquid up to my mouth, seeming as if she was telling me to drink. I smile and open my mouth. The woman turns her head to the blobs of color in front of me, I see her hands move and the blobs hands move to hold the bottle. I try to lift my arms, but I can't.

Why can't I lift my arms? Why can I see Niki but not whoever this is.

"Drink-all." The blob say, holding the glass bottle higher up to my mouth, their other hand tilting my head up. I can't taste the liquid, but its cold against my throat and that's all that matters to me at the moment.

something colder touches my arm, the one where Sam had cut, and I know its supposed to hurt, but I don't feel it. I just don't feel, anything right now.

The blob pulls the bottle away, throwing it into Niki's bag gently, no liquid left in it. The blob slowly forms into shapes, the clouds start to separate again, and I see who I am with.

It was only two people. Technoblade and Niki, both of them staring at me with concern melting in the colors of their eyes, I smile.

"What's up you guys?" I say, feeling like I've drank my body weight in alcohol again, but I haven't touched the bitter liquid in months, nor have I wanted too.

I think.

I start to feel a burning on my right arm, and look down to see a nasty looking gash cut straight through, like my skin was eating away at the cells in my arm. I swear it wasn't that big a few minutes ago..

Or was it?

"Whoever you fought, their sword was literally drenched in poison, Vien." Technoblade says, crouch down beside me as I slowly regain feeling in my left arm, lifting it to stare at the scars littering my entire forearm.

"Is that why I couldn't see jack shit?" I smile, trying to stand, using both the wall and the Blade as support, barely able to feel my legs, much less my feet.

"That or your eyes are going colorblind and shit."
