The plaza was filled with joy, with laughter and happiness, then it wasn't.

It was filled with friends that hadn't felt the bright heat of the sun shine down over them, truly, in months, then it was filled with darkness.

It was filled with seven people lined up in the back as the L'Manburg citizens were celebrating and welcoming their new president and vice president. Then it wasn't,

In a split second, a happy, colorful, bright world, turned to shit without much an effort. Like someone flipped a switch and the sun went down, and the flowers were burnt to ash, and the colors were drained of everything they had left to give.

In a split second, the citizens of L'Manburg, old and new, were listening to President Tubbo's speech and then to the sickening rumble of the earth as it exploded before them.

The nation, the ground they fought so hard for, so long for, was taken away without a warning. The buildings were falling into the pit the explosion created, fire and smoke, debris and stone blown out of the ground. Many were separated, many were alone in the destruction. People were shouting, some were crying, some were dead. But in the middle of the chaos, in the middle of the suffering and blood, a woman laid with her legs trapped under a piece of earth and stone, her arms not strong enough to push the rocks off her body.

She couldn't move, and there was fire and smoke surrounding her, flash backs of her first death on repeat in her mind. She couldn't breath, couldn't see. She tried calling out for help, but couldn't even hear her own voice, not being able to know if someone heard her, and was coming for her. Not knowing if she should call again, or try something to get herself out. She was feeling lightheaded and exhausted before she even knew it.

Her name was Vienna, a woman of a few skills, and a loyal friend and partner. She was laid out on the ground, faded black hair pooled around her head like a halo. She couldn't feel her head, or her arms, or her anything. She just felt blood trickling down the length of her body, along with the cool, cold stone press against her body as the fire and smoke clouded over everything. She could only hear a slight buzzing in her ears.

The woman groaned, hearing people shout and mourn for the lost nation, their lost home. She heard many names being called out, many voices coming from people she recognized. But one stood out from the rest, deep and hard. Harsh around the edges, as if it were a serrated knife was a human. And in a way, it was a blade, belonged to the Blade.

Technoblade swatted at the air, clearing the murky smoke from view as he feverously searched for the woman, panic and desperation flowing through his body. Sure, Technoblade was angry, pissed off beyond belief at the people around him, but he was still concerned for Vienna. The woman he loved.

"Vienna!?" He called, his voice raspy and loud, searching through the mess. "Vienna where are you?!" Technoblade listened and waited, moving slow and stumbling through the land. He avoided the large pits into darkness, hoping Vienna wasn't deep inside one, dying in the bottom where no one could hear her cries. Luckily, a moment later, he heard it.

It was faint, and it was weak, but it was there. It was soft, and warm, and everything Technoblade wasn't and more. It was a safe haven, it was a beacon in the night. It was Vienna Blue.

"Techno!" Vienna cried out, trying to move the rock off of her body, or at least push herself out of it's grip. She clawed at the ground, pushed with what little energy she had and only got a few inches out, her back now leaning against a building. At least she though it was a building. It was either that, or one of the stands that were littered around the plaza, until it was blown up that is.

"Technoblade!" Vienna coughed, hearing metal footsteps run towards her voice, towards her leaning body.

"Vienna?" The voice wasn't loud anymore, though it was closer then before The woman looked forward hearing the golden boots echo around the cleared plaza, nothing standing in the way. Vienna looked up to see a metallic sword and armor made of purple metal, a blue glaze coating it fully. Pink hair pulled back into a low hanging braid that reaches just past his waist.

"Technoblade.." Vienna sighed in relief as the man looked at the woman, then to the rock laying on her legs. He stuttered into action, using all his strength to push the large thing off of her, freeing her weak legs from the hold the earth had on them. Thankfully, Vienna was lucky enough to have her legs pushed into a low hole, meaning her legs wouldn't be broken. It would just be a minute before she could stand on her own.

After freeing the dark haired woman, Technoblade ran his hand up her body, pressing on her legs and pulling them out of the hole. Then when he was satisficed her legs weren't broke, he pulled the woman into his arms, holding her tighter then he did his blade. The two were surrounded by fire, destruction, the stench of death, but they stayed on the ground, arms tangled around each other.

"Vien," Technoblade whispered, pressing a small kiss to the side of the woman's face as she smiled at the gesture. The man was still very angry, and still felt betrayed, but he was relieved that Vienna was indeed still alive. His gauntlets burying into Vienna hips and back, grounding them both as they stayed gentle in the middle of it all. When Technoblade pulled away, his gauntlet was covered in blood.

Starring at the golden metal, now stained a deep red, Technoblade's panic, that was forgotten only moments before, returned without a warning. His eyes grew wide as he looked at Vienna, who seemed to be losing color in her face as the seconds passed. The pink haired man didn't know what to do in this situation, and Vienna wasn't much of a help.

The man tore his gauntlet off, and positioned himself behind Vienna, who still didn't seem to know what was going on. Technoblade followed the woman's spine, trying to find the source of blood, but coming up empty handed. He looked at the ground, seeing the red painted on the ground. It wasn't much, but from the way his gauntlet looked he was growing more and more concerned. He ran his hand down Vienna's marron turtleneck, unable to find any blood without touch, seeing as the red blended in with the shirt. Pair that with clouded vision from the smoke, and it was hard to even breathe.

He ending up finding a sharp rock lodged into Vienna's side, he wasn't sure why he hadn't seen it before, or how Vienna didn't feel it. The woman just leaned her head against the wall behind her, eyes hidden behind her lids as she breathed in the polluted air. Technoblade worked quick, pulling the rock out of the woman's side, throwing it aside as he tore his shirt sleeve with his sword to tie around Vienna's waist. The white fabric turned red within seconds.

Securing the knot, Technoblade stood, and gently lifted Vienna from the ground. He held her in his arms, cradling the woman as he searched for the other dark haired woman named Niki, who had all the healing potions. He shifted through the harsh smoke, hearing the occasional couch or gag from somewhere in the distance. He was looking for Dream as well, knowing fully of the way the man worked. He would wait until everyone was at their weakest, then attack.

But, Technoblade wasn't too sure on how he felt about the whole situation he was in at the moment. He only cared about Vienna.

Technoblade found the Nihachu standing with her eyes facing a large rock formation, catching onto a golden light coming from inside of it. The light was coming from behind where the podium once stood. Technoblade paid no attention to it, he instead found the bag full of potions and snagged a hot pink one. Niki never looked their way.

He carried Vienna off to a more cleaner area, and set her down nearest the back of the plaza, the smoke and fire not reaching this far back. He still smelt the heat of the fire, but he was more concerned for the woman seated on the ground, blood seeping through the makeshift gauze on her side. Technoblade popped the cork of the potion, and held it up to Vienna for the second time today, she didn't have the best luck of anyone here.

Vienna swallowed the liquid easily, not even feeling her injuries subsiding. In a matter of seconds, the blood on her side was gone, and so was Technoblade's panic. Another thing that was gone, was the pain where her legs should've been from where the rock was pressed down onto the bone. Vienna would be able to walk in no time thanks to the healing potion.

"Wake up darling," Technoblade whispered to the woman who appeared to be sleeping. He gently shook her shoulder, remembering everything that had happened over the past twelve minutes.

First thing- A new government was formed. The very thing Technoblade was against, was formed right in front of his goddamn eyes as the others simple watched. He was called to the lines for one reason and one reason only; to destroy the government and remove a tyrant incapable of running himself, let alone a country.

Second thing- That said nation, was blown up. The nation that formed a new government was destroyed in three minutes tops, maybe four with the time it took for everyone to notice the things going on.

Third thing- Technoblade was pissed the fuck off. He spent months gathering the materials and weapons for the revolution, only to have it been for nothing. He had spent days on days deep in the mines, in the fucking nether, gathering supplies for the people he considered friends after all this time being stuck with them. But he had a plan, he had a backup if everything went wrong. And it did, it all went wrong. So it was time for the plan.

Opening her eyes, Vienna blinked a few times before starring at a man in front of her with large canine teeth and the bluest of eyes she'd ever seen. She smiled, but it dropped when the man didn't return the gesture. Instead, he held out his hand for the woman to take, and she did. Technoblade waited for her to get her balance, which only took a few seconds before letting her go, but staying only a short arms length away in order to catch her if she fell.

The fog and smoke had cleared now, the dust had settled and all the living people were gathered around the large hole where the L'Manburg podium once stood. Vienna heard people crying, people laughing, people screaming. She didn't know how to feel as she heard the distant yelling of a man she was exiled with.

"Wilbur?" Vienna whispered to no one but herself, unaware that Technoblade had heard her, and followed her confused line of sight to a man gesturing out to the blown world around him. Vienna seen another man with blonde hair and green and white hat with him, holding a sword in his left hand, clutching his heart with his right. He had striking resemblance to the messy haired man in front of him, as if they were related.

"They want you to do it Phil!" Vienna heard come from the mouth of Wilbur, hearing it rumble in her ears broke her heart, mostly because she had an idea of what that man, who was called Phil, was being asked to do. Vienna was starring at the pair inside the rocks and rubble, seeing the tears glistening on both their faces. No one was aware of what Technoblade was doing in the back of the ruined plaza, of the plan he was going through with.

No one was aware of the group on the hill, normal weapons stationed in their hands as the wind blew through the air, as if it were enough to blow away the path that everyone was following.

Everyone watched as the man with Wilbur Soot, their friend and brother in arms, was pulled into a heartbreaking embrace, the tip of a sword protruding from his back. Despite the situation, Wilbur was smiling. He was smiling with tears streaming down his face, a deadly silent sob falling from the blonde man's mouth, who had run him through.

No one was aware that the worst wasn't over, not even as they watch Wilbur's body fall limp in the blonde mans arms as he cried and sobbed.
