A/N: My favourite chapter.. (-༗‿༗-)

With his morning preparations complete, Taehyung made his way to the kitchen, his heart swelling with a familiar warmth as he spotted his parents already seated at the table, sharing a quiet moment over breakfast. Their faces lit up upon seeing him; there was a genuine exchange of affection as he greeted them with a tight hug and a cheerful "good morning."

Taking his seat, Taehyung's anticipation was met with a hearty appetite, and he enthusiastically delved into his meal, savouring each bite as he engaged in casual conversation with his parents. Between mouthfuls of food, he inquired about their plans, his curiosity piqued by their apparent excitement.

A knowing smile graced his mother's lips as she shared their purpose. "We're going shopping for your wedding," she revealed, her eyes twinkling with delight.

Taehyung's grin broadened, and he couldn't help but tease, "You can tell me if you two need my help."

Mr. Kim chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he playfully replied, "We'll manage just fine on our own. Besides, your focus should be on Jungkook for now."

Taehyung's heart bloomed at the mention of his beloved, his thoughts drifting to the man who occupied his every waking moment. Nodding in agreement, he continued to enjoy the meal, his parents' presence a comforting anchor in his life.

As the last morsel of breakfast disappeared from his plate, Mr. Kim's actions turned towards his phone. With a few deft movements, he sent a message to Taehyung's device.

Intrigued, Taehyung retrieved his phone and opened the message, his eyebrows furrowing slightly as he read the address provided. Taehyung's gaze shifted to his father, a questioning expression in his eyes.

Mr. Kim met his gaze with a serene smile, his voice holding a hint of anticipation as he spoke. "Go there with Jungkook," he instructed, a sense of purpose underlying his words.

"That apartment has a beautiful penthouse. I want to gift it to you and Jungkook as the wedding present. See if you two like it." Mr. Kim's words hung in the air, a generous offer that spoke volumes about his love for his son and soon-to-be son-in-law.

Taehyung's brows knitted together, his gratitude intertwined with concern. "But Dad, our mansion is huge. I don't think we need to stay anywhere else. And I don't want to leave you two alone," he expressed, his attachment to his family evident in his words.

Mr. Kim's gaze softened, and his voice was gentle as he offered his perspective. "Tae, it's an arranged marriage. You two will need more time and privacy to understand each other and strengthen your bond."

Mrs. Kim chimed in, her smile warm and reassuring. "Yes, Tae, and moreover, the penthouse is just a few minutes away from here. We can meet each other anytime we feel like it."

Taehyung playfully pouted, a mixture of reluctance and amusement evident on his face. "I'm starting to understand who actually needs time and privacy," he teased, drawing a chuckle from his father.

"Shut up, you brat," Mr. Kim countered with a light-hearted laugh, his fondness for his son undeniable.

Standing up from the table, Taehyung enveloped his parents in a heartfelt hug, his words carrying a depth of emotion. "I'm incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful parents," Taehyung expressed sincerely.

With his briefcase in hand, Taehyung glanced at his parents, his eyes reflecting his gratitude and excitement. "I will take Jungkook there. Thank you so much, Dad and Mom, for your precious gifts," he said, his heart full of appreciation.

As he headed off to the office, a renewed sense of excitement bloomed within him. The thought of living with Jungkook in their own space, a place of privacy and intimacy, filled Taehyung with a joy that he couldn't contain.

The soft orange glow of the evening sun painted the parking lot with a warm, gentle light. Jungkook was in the process of neatly arranging his shopping bags in the trunk of his car, his thoughts preoccupied with the idea of calling Taehyung. He planned to share the change of plans with him, hoping that it might lead to a cosy night of cuddling together. The smile that tugged at his lips was evidence of the fondness he held for such moments.

However, his tranquil thoughts were abruptly shattered as a sharp sting met his back, a forceful slap that sent a shockwave of surprise and indignation through him. Whipping around, his eyes narrowing to slits, he faced a man with an arrogant smirk that instantly grated on his nerves.

"What's this behaviour?" Jungkook's voice held a clear edge, his annoyance evident as he confronted the blonde man before him.

The man's smirk only widened, his tone dripping with insolence. "Cool down, beautiful boy. You have a nice ass, and it seems like your man isn't fucking you right. Want to have some fun tonight?" His words were laced with a crude implication that made Jungkook's temper flare.

"I'm in no mood to entertain your nonsense, so apologise and get lost." Jungkook's voice was cold and firm as he took a step towards the man, his eyes flashing with a warning glare.

Amusement danced in the blonde man's eyes, clearly unbothered by Jungkook's response. "You enjoyed my spank, so why would I apologise?" And I bet you'd enjoy something else too." His words were provocative—a taunting challenge that only fueled Jungkook's irritation.

Before the man could continue with his crude remarks, he found himself suddenly pinned to a nearby pillar. His breath caught in his throat as Jungkook's grip tightened around his windpipe. Panic flashed in his eyes as he struggled; his attempts to free himself met with little success against Jungkook's unyielding hold.

"You talked about my man." Jungkook's voice was a low, dangerous growl, his eyes burning with intensity. "And I still gave you a chance to apologise, but you chose to lose that opportunity," Jungkook added, his grip unrelenting as he held the man in place.

Jungkook kept the man pinned against the pillar, his fingers gripping the man's throat with a controlled force. The seconds ticked by in a silent confrontation that spoke volumes of Jungkook's anger and restraint. He wasn't aiming to kill, just to make a point and to protect his honour and that of his loved one.

"Jungkook."

The sound of his name in a most familiar voice, uttered with a mix of concern and shock, tore through the charged air.

Jungkook's heart raced as he slowly turned, his grip on the man easing slightly as he met Taehyung's wide-eyed gaze. His chest tightened, a rush of emotions flooding him as he saw the horror etched on Taehyung's face.

Taehyung's steps were hesitant, his eyes never leaving the scene before him. He had stumbled upon Jungkook in a moment that was starkly different from the person he knew—the playful, kind-hearted soul who often shared tender moments with him. The sight of Jungkook, his face flushed with exertion and his grip unyielding, sent a chill down Taehyung's spine.

"Jungkook, leave him." Taehyung's voice was laced with urgency, his heart pounding as he approached. He knew the danger of the situation and the potential consequences of Jungkook's actions.

As if awoken from a trance, Jungkook blinked, his gaze shifting from Taehyung to the man above his grasp. The man struggled, his eyes pleading as he gasped for breath. Taehyung's words echoed in Jungkook's mind, a reminder of the consequences of his actions.

Reluctantly, Jungkook loosened his grip, allowing the man to slide down the pillar. The blond man stumbled and fell to the ground, a cry of pain escaping his lips as his back harshly met the unforgiving pavement.

Jungkook's chest heaved as he stepped back, his hands trembling with a mixture of adrenaline and the realisation of what had transpired.

The blonde man staggered to his feet, his dishevelled appearance contrasting starkly with the horrified expression etched across his face. His gaze, like that of a trapped animal, locked onto Jungkook's, a mixture of fear and disbelief painting his features.

Stammering, he managed to force out the words, "Y-you are a fucking muscular monster," "God have some m-mercy on your girlfriend, boy toy....whatever you have"

His trembling hand reached to caress his neck, a silent reminder of the marks Jungkook's grip had left behind. Without further ado, he turned on his heels, fleeing from the scene with a swiftness that matched the urgency of his escape.

As the blonde man fled, Jungkook's gaze remained fixed on the ground, his thoughts swirling with unease. He had wanted to protect his honour and stand up for himself, but he hadn't anticipated Taehyung witnessing his strength.

"Are you okay?" Taehyung's voice, laced with concern, pulled Jungkook from his reverie. He looked up to see Taehyung walking towards him, his eyes filled with worry.

Jungkook bit his lip, his voice momentarily failing him. He had always yearned for Taehyung to see him as more than just strong—a side he had kept hidden, hoping to be cherished and protected by the person he loved.

Taehyung gently tapped Jungkook's shoulder, the touch having a grounding force that brought him back to the present moment. Jungkook blinked, his attention fully on Taehyung now.

Without a word, Taehyung reached out and placed his hand on the nape of Jungkook's neck, pulling him into a warm and reassuring embrace. Jungkook's heart rate gradually slowed as he wrapped his arms around Taehyung, seeking solace and comfort in the familiarity of his touch.

Taehyung's voice, soft and soothing, broke the silence. "What happened? You seemed strong enough, and now you're worrying me."

Jungkook bit his lip, his internal turmoil making it hard for him to articulate his feelings. He hesitated for a moment before quietly admitting, "I don't know."

Taehyung's grip tightened slightly, a gesture of understanding and support. "Okay, forget it," Taehyung said, sensing Jungkook's reluctance to delve further into the topic. "Are you alright?"

Jungkook's response was a gentle hum and a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. As he nestled into Taehyung's embrace, he felt a sense of security wash over him. In Taehyung's arms, he found the reassurance he needed—the reminder that he was loved, cherished, and protected, no matter the circumstances, no matter that he was strongly able to protect himself.

As they pulled away from their embrace, the warmth of their connection lingered. Taehyung's concern for Jungkook was evident in his question, "Where are your friends? Weren't you supposed to spend the evening with them and have dinner?"

Jungkook's pout deepened as he recounted the unfortunate incident. "They ditched me and left me alone in the middle," he explained, the memory of Lisa and Bogum's teasing turning into a heated argument fresh in his mind. It had left him feeling abandoned and frustrated.

Taehyung's laughter resonated through the air, a melodic sound that eased the tension from Jungkook's shoulders. "Well, their loss is my gain," Taehyung teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Jungkook's lips curled into a soft smile, his heart warming at Taehyung's words. Jungkook shook his head in response to Taehyung's question: Has he had dinner yet?

Taehyung's hand extended, his fingers wrapping around Jungkook's waist in a gentle yet possessive hold. "Let's go then, have dinner," he suggested, and Jungkook couldn't help the flutter in his chest at the sensation of Taehyung's touch.

They made their way to the 8th floor of the building and entered a charming restaurant. Seated comfortably, they placed their orders, the anticipation of a satisfying meal hanging in the air.

As they waited for their food, Taehyung leisurely sipped on his drink through a straw, his eyes never leaving Jungkook's face. He finally decided to address the earlier encounter. "By the way, what was the matter with that blonde man?" he inquired, curiosity evident in his tone.

Jungkook's cheeks flushed with a mixture of lingering anger and embarrassment. He took a deep breath before recounting the incident, his words tinged with frustration. "I was putting bags in the trunk when he hit my ass," he explained, his voice carrying a hint of annoyance. The memory of the encounter still left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Taehyung's usually warm gaze turned intense, his eyes darkening with anger. His fist clenched involuntarily, and he slammed his hand onto the glass table with the plastic juice cup still in his grasp. The force of his punch made the glass tremble and juice splatter across the surface, some even dripping onto the floor. The sudden display of anger drew the attention of other diners, whose curious gazes turned towards the source of the commotion.

His voice laced with fury, Taehyung spoke through gritted teeth, "You still let him go? Why? You should have thrown him on the ground and wrung his neck." His fingers twisted the glass, emphasising his frustration.

Jungkook's face turned a shade redder as he glanced around, realising that their actions were causing a scene. He offered an embarrassed smile to the other patrons whose eyes were fixed on them, undoubtedly wondering what had caused the outburst.

Turning his attention back to Taehyung, Jungkook tried to calm the situation. "Cool down, Hyung," he mumbled, his voice soothing. "He got his lesson; my five fingers were around his neck." He attempted to make light of the situation, a small smile playing on his lips.

Taehyung eventually eased back into his seat, though his anger was still palpable. He knew that letting the incident go so easily didn't sit well with him, but he also realised that creating a bigger scene in the restaurant wouldn't solve anything. but his mind was resolute; that blonde man would face his retribution, a separate punishment for daring to lay a hand on Jungkook's ass. The audacity of the act, even though Taehyung himself hadn't yet taken such liberties, fueled his determination.

The restaurant staff swiftly arrived to clean up the mess, and Taehyung took the opportunity to apologise for the disruption he had caused. Once the area was cleared and the atmosphere had settled, their orders finally arrived, and they began to eat.

As they shared their meal, Taehyung's gaze occasionally flicked towards Jungkook, his protectiveness still lingering.

Midway through their meal, Taehyung's mind was inexplicably drawn back to the intense incident that had occurred in the parking lot earlier. He found himself replaying the scene vividly in his thoughts, with the memory of Jungkook's unexpected display of strength etched deeply into his mind.

His thoughts were consumed by the sight of Jungkook, his veins popping as he held the blonde man aloft with seemingly little effort. The raw power and anger in Jungkook's eyes left a lasting impression on Taehyung.

Suddenly, vivid images played in Taehyung's mind. He imagined himself in the place of that blonde guy, pinned against the wall by Jungkook's firm grip, his heart racing at the thought of such a powerful and possessive display, and he choked on his food.

Jungkook, noticing Taehyung's momentary distress, quickly came to his side, offering him water to help soothe his discomfort. Taehyung gulped down the water, his gaze never leaving Jungkook's face, his mind still racing with the vivid scenarios he had conjured.

"Are you alright?" Jungkook's concerned voice broke through Taehyung's reverie, and he nodded slowly, his heart still racing but now for a different reason altogether. and Jungkook settled back into his seat.

As their eyes met, Jungkook gave Taehyung a shy smile, which Taehyung reciprocated, though a peculiar thought had taken root in his mind.

The chopsticks in Taehyung's hand halted midair as a startling realisation struck him—the thought that nagged at the edges of his consciousness:

What if Jungkook turns out to be a top?

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, amusement dancing in his eyes as he observed Taehyung's perplexed expression. "Is there a comedy movie playing in your mind or something?" Jungkook quipped, his lips curving into a playful smile.

Taehyung returned the smile sheepishly. "Nah, a h-horror," he replied, the notion still lingering in the back of his mind, sparking curiosity and a newfound level of intrigue.

Jungkook chuckled and gave a nod, and they resumed their meal, the restaurant's atmosphere now lighthearted and relaxed, though Taehyung's mind continued to drift to the unexpected and tantalising possibilities.

The dinner had come to an end, and Jungkook's persistent concern was evident in his eyes. With a determined look, he leaned slightly on the table and asked, "Now tell me, Hyung, I've noticed you've been upset for a while. What's bothering you?"

Taehyung's gaze shifted downward, his fingers playing with the edge of his napkin as he hesitated. He mumbled, "There's something on my mind—a question I want to ask you, even though it's quite personal."

Jungkook's determination to ease whatever was troubling Taehyung pushed him to encourage him further. "Hyung, you can ask me anything. I'm here to listen and help," he reassured, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's face.

Taking a deep breath, Taehyung gathered his thoughts, his voice a bit shaky. "I was wondering... I mean, I wanted to know—" He stumbled over his words, feeling Jungkook's gaze intensify on him.

"I mean, l-like--,"

"Ask, Hyung," Jungkook prompted, his curiosity piqued and his heart racing.

Taehyung's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as he hurriedly blurted out the question in a single breath.

"WhatYouPreferBeing top, bottom, or versatile?" Taehyung mumbled hurriedly in one breath.

Their eyes locked, and a charged silence enveloped them. One blink. Two blinks. The weight of the question hung heavy in the air, both of them seemingly frozen in time.

Breaking the intense gaze, Jungkook looked down at his lap, his fingers tangling with each other. Taehyung turned his gaze to the side, his cheeks still tinged with embarrassment. Awkwardness settled between them, the question lingering as an unspoken bridge between their thoughts.

Finally, Taehyung turned his attention back to Jungkook, his voice a soft murmur of reassurance: "It's okay if you don't want to—"

Before he could finish, Jungkook's gaze snapped up, meeting Taehyung's eyes with unwavering determination. Jungkook cut through the awkward silence, his voice
