y/n groans as she places her phone down, looking at the lecturer.

the woman is explaining things about all kinds of social media and whatever she's saying. the girl is not paying attention so how would she know what the woman is talking about? she'd rather spend time texting her boyfriend.

who's ignoring her now.

and meanwhile, in kageyama's class, he's chuckling at his phone.

he's sitting next to inuoka who frowns, "what's going on?"

kageyama looks up, "oh, just y/n. she's being stupid again."

"she always is," inuoka answers, shrugging. "so i guess she's not paying attention either? stupid."

"we're not doing much either."

"no but we're in a sports managment major, we're supposed to learn about sports and today it's volleyball so what else are we supposed to do? we know everything about volleyball!"

"i wish some team would just recruit me instead of me being in uni," kageyama sighs, now facing inuoka. "i think that would be better for me than this."

"you just don't want to study."

"and i have been trying to get into teams for ages but they keep saying i have to show them things? they have seen me plenty of times! i just don't think they have the money."

"at least hinata doesn't have a team either and is in uni as well," inuoka says, knowing kageyama would be even more pissed about it if hinata did have a team, and he didn't.

kageyama nods, "yeah. if i'm the first to get in an awesome team it's alright. as long as i'm not atsumu's team, it's fine."

inuoka chuckles, but before he can answer, the bell rings. "oh! finally break time."

the two boys get their stuff together and walk out of their classrooms, chatting about some of the coursework they have to do. which, for them, is pretty easy, as it's about volleyball. both kageyama and inuoka have played volleyball for years, so they know enough.

they're even in the uni's volleyball team, so no surprises there either.

"tobio!"

kageyama looks to his side, and sees a h/c haired female sprinting towards him. she wraps her arms around his neck and kisses his cheek. "i missed you!"

"you saw me an hour ago," kageyama replies, pecking her cheek. "how was class?"

"boring without you."

"you guys sicken me."

y/n widens her eyes, "excuse you! inuoka, how dare you speak to me in that tone."

inuoka shrugs, "we have been best friends for years, i can say stuff like that. plus, it's the truth. you guys sicken everyone around you."

"not me, don't worry."

all three first years turn their heads to the voice that belongs to no other than kuroo tetsuro. "hello, friends. ready to have a break?"

"i am done with classes for the day," kenma, who's standing behind kuroo, says. "i don't know about you but i'm going back to my dorm to play games."

"at least have some lunch with us first," y/n asks, smiling at her friend. "please? we haven't seen you for days! you've been working on that game for so long."

"fine."

y/n cheers and walks towards the table the friends usually sit at.

before anyone can sit down, another voice holds them back.

"HEY HEY HEY!"

the girl her eyes widen, and she turns around, being met by the honey eyes of bokuto.

"bokuto! what are you doing here?!" y/n shouts, wrapping her friend in a hug. "i haven't seen you in months!"

kageyama, kuroo, kenma and inuoka all say hi to bokuto as well, as they say to akaashi since he was the one that brought bokuto here in the first place.

"i was off from work today! i had no practice so i thought it would be a good idea to meet up with akaashi. i forgot he had classes today but he said i could come and spend lunchtime together, also seeing you guys!"

y/n smiles, "perfect. it's good to have you here!"

"yeah, we missed you buddy."

bokuto smiles and takes place next to kuroo, opposite of kageyama. "so, tobio-kun. have a team yet?"

kageyama shakes his head, "no. can't you ask your team if they need an even more awesome setter than you already have?"

bokuto chuckles, "sure, we do need another setter i'm not going to lie. the one we have isn't performing as well as he should be and the backup broke his wrist. i might be able to do something for you."

kageyama widens his eyes, "you're serious? kotaro-san, that would be great!"

bokuto chuckles again. "i'll see what i can do!"

y/n smiles at her friend and boyfriend. she really hopes that kageyama will find a team that he can proffesionally play in soon. he's had many tryouts, but they usually tell him he should try another time, which is stupid. kageyama is good enough, he's one of the best setters out there so why isn't anyone taking him in their teams?

the girl sees that her boyfriend doesn't want to be at university. he wants to play volleyball and volleyball only. but when he didn't get into a team, he decided to go to university until he could get to a proffesional team.

hopefully that's the case now.

y/n smiles and starts eating her soba noodles. it's been a long morning, but after her next class it's finally time for weekend. she can finally relax and have some time with tobio.

the past years have been a blast. after the third years all graduated, the first years went to their second one. karasuno and nekoma faced each other yet again in the nationals, and nekoma won. but in the third year, karasuno had the better hand, and won of nekoma. neither won nationals either year.

they all graduated high school and went their own ways. kageyama, y/n, kuroo, kenma, inuoka, tsukishima, yamaguchi, akaashi, osamu, yachi and sugawara all went to the same university in tokyo. they often speak to each other, and hang out like the good old days.

hinata, daichi, tanaka, noya and the rest of karasuno all went to kyoto. a lot of nekoma, like yaku, also went to kyoto and didn't want to stay in tokyo. some of the volleyball players went another way and got scouted into a professional team, like bokuto, atsumu, komori, and sakusa all got scouted into a professional team. sadly, kageyama and hinata haven't been scouted yet.

no one knows why that is. kageyama is a prodigy. he's one of a kind and no one can find such an amazing setter as him. yet, no one has dared to have him in a team yet.

y/n hopes it will happen soon. she can't wait to see the smile on his face when he finally can do what he acthally wants to do; play volleyball for the rest of his life.

and she's definitely be there to support him.

"what ya thinking about?"

kuroo poked y/n in her arm, "you're thinking way too hard. i think your head might fall off."

the girl rolls her eyes, "i was just thinking about loads of things. like, our friendships in high school and nationals... what we're all doing now, several years later."

kageyama smiles and finishes his food, "we should definitely hang out with everyone soon! and with everyone, i mean everyone! karasuno, nekoma, fukurodani, inarizaki... komori and sakusa can come too!"

y/n nods, "yeah, that would be awesome," she answes, nodding. "i would love to see everyone again."

"me too."

the girl smiles and leans her head on her boyfriends shoulder.

she can't believe she has been together with this guy for two years. many things happened in those years, but the most important thing is them growing as persons.

they have become friends in a year, a couple after one, and grew even closer since they got together. they had many visits, to either miyagi or tokyo, but it was all worth it. in the end, they're both in tokyo, pursuing their dreams (not fully for all, but they will get there).

y/n grabs her phone, "to think this all started because i was bored and texted my number buddy that wanted nothing to do with me."

"and look at him now, smitten for the girl," kuroo says with a smirk.

"oh the amount of times y/n was talking about the stranger during volleyball hours! at one point it killed me," inuoka mumbles.

all people at the table start to laugh.

"does the groupchat even still exist?"

"what one?" akaashi asks, which he shouldn't of had done.

"the one with literally everyone in there," kageyama answers akaashi, finishing his lunch.

"let me check."

kageyama wraps his arm around the girl who opens her messages app. he leans close to her and looks at her screen as she scrolls through all her messages.

a familiar groupchat pops up.

"it's still there," she says, looking up.

"don't you dare–" kenma starts, but gets cut off, with kuroo laughing.

a ding is heard from many sides.

"oh no," akaashi mumbles.

bokuto is screaming as he grabs his phone, "finally! some action again!"

it's been so long ?? how have you all been ??

well ok i'm not here for a lil chit chat (i mean if u want to we can have one<3) buUUTTT i'm here to talk about the 100K thAT WE HIT LIKE WHAT. i never, never thought that you bastard would hit the 100k but here we are. triple digits. we did it. that's insane!
