They rushed outside, where Hagrid stood, holding two golden cages in his hands.

One contained a white owl, and the other one a white cat.

Hagrid: Happy Birthday!
He said, handing the owl to Harry and the cat to Y/N.

Y/N took it carefully, almost on the verge of tears, just like Harry.

It was the first time in their entire life receiving Birthday presents.

Harry&Y/N: Thank you so much, Hagrid!
They both said.

They were now back to the Leaky Cauldron, eating. Harry and Y/N, however, were silent. After what Ollivander had told them, they just couldn't stop thinking about the one who killed their parents.

Hagrid seemed to notice that something was wrong with them.

Hagrid: What's wrong? Yeh didn' say a word since we came here.
He asked, looking at them.

Harry took a deep breath, and then looked at the Giant.

Harry: Hagrid, who was the one who killed our parents?
He asked.

Hagrid looked at them both, but didn't say a word.
Harry: Please, Hagrid, I know you know who he is.
He said.

Hagrid sighed.
Hagrid: I can' say it.

He said.

Y/N: Write it down, then.
He said.
Hagrid: I don' know how it's written! Fine. His name was... Voldemort.
He said, instantly shivering at the name.

Y/N tilted his head in confusion.
Harry&Y/N: Voldemort...?
They both said.

Hagrid quickly shushed them.
Hagrid: Don' say that name out loud!
He hissed.

Y/N: Sorry.
He said. Hagrid took a deep breath to calm himself down.

Hagrid: Dark times, those were. Yeh couldn' trust anyone. He kept gaining power, killin' innocents. But then, he disappeared. No one knows why, but somethin' 'bout yeh two put him KO. That's why yer famous.
He said.

Harry looked at Y/N, who was intently staring at his burger as if it was about to grow a pair of legs and start running away.

But Harry knew him too well to be surprised by that.

He wasn't used to all this. He liked being alone, enjoying the silence, reading, or simply sleeping.

The only exception he could make was for Harry, who gladly spent his time with him.

Since he was a lonely person, he was an easy target for Dudley and his gang of bullies, who always beated him, pulled pranks on him...

But Y/N, despite all this, never spoke about it with anyone, not even the teachers or the principal.

He knew that doing that would've got things worse.

He kept enduring, but he wasn't like Harry. One day he finally snapped, and in the end, he had beated the shit out of them all, making them run away whenever they saw him around.

Y/N was Harry's hero. He always protected him and he was always there whenever he needed to talk to someone if he was feeling down, or he was there to keep him company whenever he felt lonely.

They were inseparable, and Harry was proud of his twin.
