The car ride was engulfed in silence, the silence starting to turn into an awkward one as you tried to distract yourself by watching the light blurring by as if those were the most fascinating thing in the world, in a sense they are fascinating. The lights from the lampposts would blur by as the car sped. But then gradually your eyes felt droopy. After Kenma asked where you live and you told him the apartment unit, that was the last conversation you two had and that was ten minutes ago.

You tapped your finger on your lap, just so you can distract yourself somehow. But then again, Kenma suddenly spoke, surprising you even. You didn't know he is one to start a conversation in the first place. He always comes off as the silent type.

But then there he was, speaking first. "I didn't know you almost became Nekoma's manager."

You remembered Yamamoto mentioning that earlier, but Kenma was playing with his phone, you didn't know he heard it.

"Yes," you answered, turning to him. "Almost. But I was quite busy then. And I had no time for club activities."

Kenma hummed in return, shrugging his shoulders lightly as he put his elbow to the side and propped his chin on his knuckle. You guessed it would be the start and end of the conversation, Kenma doesn't look like he's going to say anything else anyways. Not that you expect him to talk nonstop. Maybe he just started a small conversation because Kenma felt like you're getting bored.

"How about you? You probably enjoyed the Volleyball Club. Considering how you still get in touch with the other former players."

"Not really," Kenma muttered. "I don't particularly like nor dislike it. I still hate getting tired though."

He hated getting tired, that reminds Kenma of his other stream, not the one where he would play online games but the one where he would paly with...other stuff. Now that he remembered it, Kenma needed to get back to streaming soon. But not tonight, he thought. He's already tired anyways.

"Are you still in College?" Kenma suddenly asked, which took you a little by surprise since you two are classmate so basically he should still be in College too but the way he asked that question sounded as though he isn't.

"Yeah," you said. "How about you?"

"I dropped it," he said so nonchalantly with a light shrug of his shoulders. "It's troublesome."

"Right..." You chuckled lightly, a little too forcefully as you nodded. "Well, I still have one more year before I graduate. Now that you mention it, the next semester is about to start..."

You turned to the side again, looking out the window. Another semester, it meant a new set of units and those units cannot be taken for free. You tried to get your mind out of worrying about money for the time being, at least until before the new semester begins. Kenma averted his gaze from the road for a moment to look at you before he turned back. You sounded like there are still some things you wanted to say but you trailed off and it doesn't look like you're going to continue so Kenma just let go of it as he saw the apartment building ahead.

"We're here," he muttered, the car halting in front of the apartment building as you took the seatbelt off before opening the door and stepping outside.

Kenma rolled the window down as you stopped to look at him. "Thanks again, for earlier and for the car ride."

Kenma nodded his head but he didn't say anything. The window started rolling up as you waved your hand goodbye and Kenma stepped on the gas as his car sped away, your wave slowed down before your hand fell to your side.

"Must be nice to be so rich like him," you muttered, taking a deep breath as your shoulders slumped down. But after a second you shook your head and lightly gave your cheeks a light slap. "No, Y/n, this is why you're studying hard. Stop thinking about anything else."

By anything else, you don't really mean that includes that streamer. You got back to your room and didn't really have anything else to do as you stare at the screen of your laptop. Then you just found yourself typing the site and you stare at it until you realized it and you gasped as you put your hand to cover your mouth.

"Y/n," you muttered, inclining your head as you rest your chin on your knees and you closed your eyes. "You've become a perv."

You opened one of your eyes and slowly put your hand on the touchpad, scrolling down the site. But after a while you didn't find that streamer and you furrowed your brows. You searched for his online handle and you saw that he left a message.

"So he isn't going to stream tonight?"

You shrugged your shoulders and decided to check the other ones, which you've never done before and this is the first time you are doing this. You clicked on the top stream on the site and tried to watch it.

But it hasn't been five second when you closed the stream because it just doesn't feel right somehow. You tried to watch another one, and this time at least you managed to watch for a minute but you realized something.

"None of them can be compared to him," you muttered, only realizing that the streamer you first found here, probably the most famous one on this site, is the only one you can spend hours watching. And you shudder at the thought.

Maybe it was his golden hues that had hypnotized you. He has that certain enigma around him, like his whole being is a mystery, not to mention he also wears a mask, apart from his lips and eyes, you couldn't make out his face, leaving what he looks like to the imagination. And perhaps, that as well, was the reason why he is that famous around here. Because he's mysterious, people are initially drawn to him. And you are no exception.

"I wonder who he is," you muttered, turning your laptop off as you decided to call it a night and fell on your bed, closing your already tired eyelids as you fell in a dreamless slumber.

---

For the next week you were pretty much busy. The remaining vacation before the next semester starts. A week had passed and nothing seem out of place, at least it's the same old routine. When you got back to the apartment you opened your laptop.

Not to watch his stream but to go to the University website to enroll for new set of units for the next semester. At least you were about to do so, but then you saw something that made your heart sink down as your hand froze.

"Oh? That's right," you muttered. "I still have a few thousand yen balance left from last semester."

Your shoulders slumped down, your head inclined as your forehead fell on your knees and you closed your eyes. You briefly forgot all about the unpaid balance from last semester. You sighed as you looked up again before you turned the laptop off.

The next day you were pretty much still thinking about your unpaid bills and units. Your shoulders slumped down as you headed to the cafe to work your shift. Your mind is occupied at the thought and your coworker noticed that something was wrong so she asked you to run errands after the third time you served the wrong coffee to the wrong customer.

You left the cafe just in time someone walked past you. You caught a whiff of a men's perfume, it's quite strong but not too strong that you scrunch your nose. You turned your head but you only saw a guy in a dark hood entering the cafe. Shrugging your shoulders, you went on to finish the errand.

Once you're back and the cafe was about to close, as you changed your clothes, you closed your locker and looked at your coworker who's busy applying powder.

"Senpai," you started and she hummed. "When you have a problem, like let's say, a problem about money. What do you usually do?"

"Oh me? I'd drown it out with alcohol. Nothing beats being drunk and forgetting all my problems anyways." It looks like she said it right away, without even thinking much as she too was surprised she even said that.

"Alcohol huh?" You muttered.

"What? No! No, no, Y/n, I'm not really a heavy drinker. I just do that sometimes."

"Ah, it's fine senpai," you said, a deadpan expression as you looked at her waving her hand frantically. "I wasn't surprise though. You often give me online dating sites, so why would I be surprise you drink a lot too?"

"Y/n, it's not like that! No!" She tried to convince you but you were already convinced as you wave your hand dismissively.

You knew you will not be able to get a good night's sleep since you're mind is pretty much occupied with the thought of how you'll be able to finish College. You actually thought of buying a few bottles of liquor from a convenience store on the way home as you stopped by the first store.

You headed to the beverage area and took out a bottle of beer. "No, actually make it two," you said, taking another two more. "Or three."

You headed to the cashier and the woman looked at you. "May I see your ID?"

"What? Why?" You asked, furrowing your brows.

"ID please," she said, a little firmly and your frown deepened.

"I'm not a minor, alright!" You said, a little too defensively. "Just cause I look like a thirteen year old kid doesn't mean I'm actually thirteen year old. I'm not a minor."

"Sure..." The woman said, trailing off but she isn't really convinced as she put her hand on the counter. "Your ID?"

"I..." You averted your gaze. "I...left it at my apartment. But I'm not a minor! Come on obachan!"

"Nope, give me those and take an apple juice instead."

You hugged the bottles close to you when she was about to take it and the woman raise her eyebrow. "Obachan! I told you I'm not a minor. I'm already in my third year in College."

"So, why won't you show me your ID then?"

"Because I left it," you said, almost whining. You put the bottles on the counter and leaned in, gesturing for the woman to lean in as well when a customer walked in. "You know this site, obachan?" You leaned in close to her ear as you whispered.

You whispered the name of the adult site and the streamer as she gasped. "I told you I'm no longer a minor."

You leaned out and winked at her as you made an ok sign with your hand. The woman looks almost convince but if you thought she's going to let you go just because you watch porn, you were wrong.

"Show me your ID next time, alright?" She said, taking the bottles but you held it tighter and you two had a little tug of war, as neither plan to let go of the bottles.

Until someone cleared their throat behind and you stopped to look at who it was.

The guy stood there, his gaze darting around as he looked down. When he looked up you realized who it was.

"She isn't a minor," Kenma said, his voice almost a mutter. He took out his wallet and an ID. "She was my classmate in high school."

Kenma gave the woman his ID and she looked at it for a second before she looked at you. After a while she nodded with a sigh and took your bottles to punch the price as you smiled at her. You took the bottles as you headed outside but stopped to wait for Kenma. And when he walked out of the store, he was about to head to his car that was parked in front but you called him and he stopped before he can get in.

"Thanks!" You said, jogging up to him as you stood in front. "This is the second time you help me out of a difficult situation."

"Second time? When was the first?" He asked, genuinely confused as he frowned.

"A week ago. During the get-together, when I bumped into a guy and I spilled my drink all over his coat."

Kenma nodded his head, remembering that. He stood there and waited for you to continue because he thought you look like you have something more to say.

"So...if you like..." You trailed off, averting your gaze before you looked at him. "Do you want to join me for a..." you lifted your hand and made a gesture like you are drinking something as you clicked your tongue.

Kenma frowned but then he realized what you meant as he looked at the plastic bag where the bottles of beers that took you so long to get, convincing the woman in the store that you aren't a minor, before Kenma looked back at you.

"Where?" He asked.

"My place?" You asked, you're the one who's inviting him so it would be rather rude if you ask to head to his place.

Kenma seem to think about it before he nodded his head. "Alright," he said. "Get in."
