For the whole week after that, you were busy with the written report for the term project that you hardly even thought of anything else. You would spend most of your free time in the University at the library and when you got back to the unit, you would be coop up in your room.

Before you knew it, the written report you are assigned to do is almost over and it's Friday. Fortunately you get a free day today since the lecture has been cancelled early on so you spend the day doing the report.

"If I finish this today I'd be able to turn it in later tonight," you said as your stretched, Pudding purring as he perked up from his nap. He's comfortably resting on your lap while you're busy typing.

"Ah, I'm almost done with this," you muttered as you picked Pudding and snuggled on his fur. "Maybe I can finish it this afternoon."

Pudding purred again before you finally let him go and he jumped on the floor. You look on the screen of your laptop before your gaze landed on the empty mug of coffee on the side.

"What time is it?"

You looked on the time displayed on the bottom right corner of your laptop screen and realized that it's almost time for lunch.

"No wonder why I'm starving," you said as you rubbed your stomach.

You took the empty mug of coffee and unfolded your legs before standing up.

But suddenly your vision spin around and you almost stumbled. You knew you would have fallen on the floor if not for two strong arms wrap around your waist as Kenma steadied you up. You didn't even notice him going inside the room.

"You should be careful, Y/n," Kenma said, taking the empty mug from your hand. "Are you alright? You aren't hurt?"

You shook your head and closed your eyes for a second as you lightly touched your head.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just..." you muttered, trailing off before you opened your eyes. "I just felt a bit dizzy for a second."

Kenma put the mug down on the desk before he reached towards you, hand at the back of your head and his other hand on your forehead as you stood there.

"You don't have a fever."

"It must have been just because I've been working nonstop for the written report," you said, looking back on your laptop. "And I've been staring at my laptop since this morning."

Kenma didn't say anything as he took your mug and your wrist. "I made lunch. Let's eat."

You walk beside Kenma, since he's holding your wrist, just in case you feel dizzy again. As you got near the kitchen, you can smell something delicious as you took a sniff and immediately you recognized the food.

"You made curry?" you asked, looking at Kenma.

"Tried," he said, almost in a mutter. You just give him a smile, at least he tried you thought. But this is Kenma, even if he try something out for the very first time, you're pretty sure it will turn out well.

Or so you thought.

You were really excited to try out his own version of Japanese curry so you took a bite first even before Kenma can finish putting rice on his plate when suddenly you realized the curry powder wasn't mixed that well resulting in a not so good taste that made you almost throw up.

You almost did as you covered your mouth and stood up abruptly. You run up to the bathroom before you felt your stomach turned and you threw up. You felt hungry but now you felt even hungrier after throwing up.

Kenma was right beside you as you stood up and went over to the sink, rinsing your mouth with mouthwash until you don't taste any vomit in your mouth.

"Are you alright?" Kenma asked, this time he looked really worried.

"Ah, yes!" you immediately said.

"Then why did you suddenly throw up?"

"Oh..." you trailed off as you averted your gaze and rubbed the back of your neck. You really don't know how to tell him that the reason you threw up was because the Japanese curry tasted bad. It would come off as rude.

Beside, you knew Kenma made quite an effort in making the curry so you really don't want to just bluntly tell him that he messed it up.

"Should I call a doctorβ€”"

"No!" you quickly said, holding Kenma's hand that was holding his phone as he lowered it down. "It's just the curry..."

"The curry?" Kenma asked. "Is it not to your liking?"

You shook your head. "No, it's not that. I think the curry powder wasn't properly mixed so it tasted a bit...odd?"

"I see," Kenma muttered, putting his phone back.

He really wasn't able to taste the curry earlier when he was cooking it, he doesn't like tasting food while cooking it. And he wasn't able to take a single bite earlier too because you were already running towards the bathroom even before he can settle back on his seat.

"It was the first time I tried to make Japanese curry, sorry it didn't turn out well."

"It's alright," you said as you and Kenma went outside.

You headed to the couch as Kenma went to kitchen to throw the rest of the curry. But before he can throw it all, Kenma took a bite from the one on his plate just to taste if it really is that bad for you to actually throw up.

When he lowered the spoon, Kenma furrowed his brows.

"It doesn't even taste that bad," he said before he lifted his hand in front of his lips as he tilted his head. "Or maybe because I was the one who made it, I'm subconsciously denying the fact that it really tastes bad?"

Kenma lowered his hand and shrugged his shoulders before he took his phone out and went to the living room where you sat on the couch, head leaning on the headrest and eyes closed.

"Y/n?" Kenma asked and you opened your eyes as you straightened up. "I'm going to have food delivered, what do you want to eat?"

You pursed your lips as you looked up, hand under your chin as you thought of what you want to eat until your mind craved something.

"Itameshi?"

"Italian?" Kenma asked and you nodded. "Alright. Do you want spaghetti?"

"Carbonara!"

Kenma nodded again as he sat next to you, browsing through the Italian menu he found on the internet. "What else?"

You scooted closer to him as you looked on what else is on the menu and your mouth almost watered at the sight of Italian food.

"Can I have this and this and this?" you asked, pointing on each dishes since the name can be quite hard to pronounce. "Oh and this too!"

Kenma stopped before he looked at you, blinking his eyes a few times as you leaned back a bit to look back at him.

"Y/n," he started.

"Yes?"

"Can you eat all those?"

"Of course!" you said, a little louder as if you wanted to get your point across and Kenma sighed before he went back to his phone, clicking all the food you said you want and can eat.

"Alright, if you say so, Y/n."

Of course you can't eat all of those.

You didn't even realize it was this much and you barely finished the pasta carbonara while Kenma only had lasagne. The rest you were forced to eat. You weren't really forced to, Kenma didn't say you should finish it. But since he asked you earlier if you can eat all of what you ordered and you said yes, it felt like you had to finish it all.

"You do know I don't eat much yet you ordered a lot," Kenma said as he finished his drink.

"Sorry," you muttered as you looked down and inclined your head. "They all look delicious. I feel like I'm going to throw up again."

"Just stop if you can't eat anymore."

You really couldn't eat anymore or you might seriously throw up at this rate. But when you look on the untouched food, you feel guilty.

"Kenma, can we still have these for dinner, we'll just reheat it."

"Sure," he said. "Just don't force yourself to finish it if you can't."

Kenma stood up and you cleaned the table as he put the rest of the untouched food inside the fridge. Afterwards, you lounged on the couch as you let the food you ate be digested. And before you knew it, you had already fallen asleep.

When Kenma found you sleeping on the couch, he took out a blanket and tucked you in, sitting beside you as he laid your head on his lap. You didn't wake up and Kenma sat there as he started to play a game.

He wasn't sure how long he's been playing, he realized it might have been at least two hours already and you finally stirred as Kenma looked down on you.

When you opened your eyes, blinking them a few times, your gaze trailed at Kenma. "How long had I been asleep?"

"Two hours."

"Ah! I need to finish the report!" you quickly said as you sat up, collecting the blanket as you run towards the room while Kenma sat there and after a moment Pudding jumped on the couch and lie beside Kenma, filling the empty space beside him when you left.

---

Days easily blurred by afterwards. And once your group finally finished the written report, you were able to pick up a date to prepare for the oral presentation.

"So it's set," one of the members said. "Tomorrow's Saturday, at Y/n's place."

"Yep!" the guy answered.

"Come now Hiro, you're too excited to see kodzuken."

"Huh?" you asked as you blinked your eyes a few times and they all look at you knowingly.

"Y/n, you know you guys weren't really trying to hide it," the girl beside Hiro said.

You laughed a bit as you averted your gaze. She's right though, you and Kenma weren't really trying to hide it, what with how he would drive you to the University and picked you up after lectures. Although Kenma isn't usually waiting outside his car, sometimes he would have the windows down so people can still recognize him if they look closer.

"If we're all set, see you guys tomorrow," you said as you felt your phone vibrated and when you look on the message, you felt the slightest upturn of your lips.

"I'm betting a yakisoba bun that's kodzuken," the guy, Hiro, whispered but you can still hear him as you cleared your throat and put your phone back in your bag.

"I'll get going now," you said as you stood up and waved at them before you left.

Kenma said he's waiting outside and that you two are going somewhere. He didn't say where exactly but he just said somewhere. When you finally got outside the gate, you saw Kenma's car and got inside.

"Kenma, where are we going?" you asked.

"You'll see,"

After a while, as you sat there and as the night veiled in, the lights shining out the window as they blurred by, the car halted outside a familiar Italian restaurant and you looked at Kenma.

"Since you've been craving Italian food for a while, let's have dinner here?"

"Sure," you said and stepped outside the car.

When you finally got inside the restaurant, you realized why it's familiar. It's the Italian restaurant your former co-worker is working in now. And coincidentally she's the one who attended to you and Kenma's table.

"It's been a while Y/n-chan," she said.

"Been a while, senpai."

"Ah, should I pour you a glass of wine?" she asked and you nodded as Kenma watched you took the wine glass and held it by the bowl.

Your co-worker poured the wine but she wasn't able to control how much she poured and the glass slipped from your hand and it shattered. Kenma was by your side as he crouched down.

"Are you alright?" he asked and you nodded, but still a bit surprise as your heart started to race.

Lately, you thought, things are slowly getting a lot better between you and Kenma that it felt like everything is back to its places. But suddenly, like the glass shattering into hundred tiny fragments, you couldn't help but think how easily something can break at a moment's notice.

And it scared you, so much that you actually felt like you were about to throw up.
