When you called Kenma's name, you noticed how he visibly relaxed, his shoulders that were stiffed slowly slumped and his hand loosened around Kuroo's shirt allowing Kuroo to push Kenma back and he took a few steps away from him.
You couldn't hear what Kenma said to Kuroo, your ears just started to throb and you can hear your heartbeat pounding on your chest. When Kenma gripped your hand, you almost yelped in surprise but you bit your inner cheek to stop yourself from making any sound.
You thought Kenma would loosen his grip on your hand but he didn't. Even as he started to descend the stairs, you almost tripped a few times as you tried to keep up with Kenma. By the time you two were in the parking space, you couldn't feel your hand anymore.
"K-Kenma..." you muttered. "It hurts,"
When you said that, as if on instinct Kenma loosened his grip and he stopped outside his car. He lifted your hand and examined it.
"Does it hurt?" he asked and you watched as he brushed his lips on your knuckles. "I was just really pissed off. Don't do that again, alright Y/n?"
You slowly nodded your head. Your back was against his car and Kenma was in front of you, his hands on either side as if trapping you in.
You flinched when you felt Kenma's hand on your face, your face was cold with tears that had already dried. His knuckles brushed on your cheek before his palm pressed on your face. Kenma started leaning in and you instinctively close your eyes.
Mostly out of fear and somehow in anticipation.
After a second you felt Kenma's soft lips on top of yours. You thought it was just a simple peck at first, but then he nibbled on your lower lip, Kenma always does that when he wants to slip his tongue in and you slowly opened your lips as Kenma slip his tongue in your mouth, your eyes closing tightly.
He kissed you more roughly and more needy as you stood there, if Kenma wasn't holding you up and if it weren't for your back against his car, you would have fallen down because you felt your knees starting to lose its strength again.
After the kiss, Kenma leaned back and you opened your eyes, your face that was cold started heating up from the stimulation.
"Did you..." Kenma started as he touched your bottom lip. "Had lemon water?"
"Y-Yeah," you said as you slowly nodded and gulped visibly. "Kuroo-san made lemon water."
"Did he?" Kenma asked, his gaze trailing up to the residential building and he saw Kuroo up the balcony. Kenma parked his car at a good spot and he knew Kuroo had seen that foreplay as Kenma smirked slightly.
"No wonder your lips and the inside of your mouth taste sweeter than usual."
Kenma opened the door beside you and you get inside without so much of a word. After shutting the door, Kenma's eyes went up again and his eyes met with Kuroo's before Kenma tore his eyes from him and went over the driver side. He started the ignition and maneuvered out of the parking space as he drove through Shinjuku.
Silence engulfed you both again. At least your heart had slowly calmed its rhythm now and you can breathe better than earlier. You don't feel cold anymore, maybe the kiss helped subside that feeling.
You want to ask if Kenma's no longer pissed, after that kiss, he doesn't look like he's pissed. Maybe the kiss also helped lift his mood.
"I know you were going to come out of his unit," Kenma said after a while, breaking the silence.
"You knew?"
But he was going to seriously push Kuroo off the fence, you thought. "Will you really push him off?"
That took a while for Kenma to answer. But he did anyways.
"Not really," he said. "I'm not really going to push him off the fence."
Kenma looked at you briefly, his golden hues lost its gleam and your hands started to tremble again.
"But if you didn't come out, that would have been a different story," he said before he looked away, the car slowing down when the apartment building came into view.
"If you came out a minute later, Kuroo would have been falling down the fifth floor."
You took a deep breath as your chest constricted again. "S-So you were...really going to kill him."
Your vision blurred and you blinked your eyes to prevent any tears from falling. You hated this feeling, this is an unpleasant feeling, you hated how Kenma look so terrifying right now. You don't know what he's going to do. And the car already halted in the empty underground parking space.
"Y/n," Kenma said, his voice low and you slowly look at him, his forehead pressed on the steering wheel. "Of all the people, why does it have to be Kuro?"
"W-What?"
"Do you like him now? Do you like him more than you like me?"
"No!" You quickly answered as you shook your head. "No, I don't like him! I've never liked him the same way I like you! It's just that...he's the only..."
What? He's the only what, you thought.
"He's the only person I could go to... since you were being so terrifying."
"Terrifying," Kenma repeated silently. "So you were terrified of me."
"I just saw you beat someone to death, of course I'd be terrified."
When you remembered how Kenma swing that bat towards the guy's head, without even a hint of hesitation, how many times he smashed it you had lost count. But when you remembered it, you felt your stomach turned again. Somehow you're still in a state of denial, that Kenma could do something like that.
There's no way the Kenma you knew and like can do something like that.
But you had seen it with your own eyes, how he did that without even hesitating. And even when Kuroo confronted him earlier, he didn't hesitate to tell you that he would have actually pushed him off the fence.
"You were terrified of me?" Kenma asked, pulling you out of your reverie.
You remembered what he told you before.
He's scared of you being scared of him.
"I..." you started and slowly looked at Kenma only to see him holding something in his hand. It looked like a bottle of liquid and you furrowed your brows. "What's that, Kenma?"
"You said you were scared of me," Kenma said instead of answering your question. "Am I scaring you right now, kiska?"
You flinched when Kenma turned to you, your eyes trailed to the bottle he was holding and you realized it's opened now.
"K-Kenma, what's that?"
You have a really bad feeling about the bottle, whatever that liquid is, you can smell a strong scent coming from it.
"Oh this?" Kenma asked, putting it on the side before he started taking a handkerchief. "Don't worry about that. I'll give it to you soon."
"No," you said, shaking your head. "I don't want that."
You don't even know what that is. Your eyes kept on the handkerchief that Kenma is holding now, you don't know what he's going to do with that either.
Until suddenly, Kenma held both of your arms and started to tie them together. You thrashed and wriggled your way but Kenma is a lot stronger than you. He may not be able to overpower Kuroo in terms of physical strength but you knew Kenma is lot stronger than you physically. You'd seen his lean yet muscular figure, he used to be an athlete too, even though he hated it. But years of training had kept Kenma maintain that strength.
He managed to tie your wrists together before you felt Kenma's hand on your face, making you look at him, the bottle now back in his hand.
"Stop, you're scaring me! What's that?!"
"You're scared now, kiska?" he asked as Kenma inhibited your movements, holding your cheeks. "Good, because you were supposed to."
You tried to pry his hand from your face, but his grip was strong. You tried to push him back but Kenma moved closer to you, rendering you from moving in the enclosed space.
"Just drink this," he said and you tried to shake your head. "Come on, you don't have to put up this much fight. You'll feel good after this anyways."
You shook your head, turning away from the bottle that Kenma was holding and keeping your lips firmly shut.
"This will make you feel good. You just have to stop resisting."
You knew your efforts would be as futile as it is now that Kenma has cornered you. You wanted to scream but you can't afford to open your lips or he can shove whatever that liquid was in your mouth. It smelled really strong, it's not liquor but it smelled like one. It was just a small bottle like medicine, you don't know what that is, you don't want to know what that is.
You just want to get out of this ordeal.
His nails started digging on your cheeks and you yelped, biting your tongue to prevent you from screaming. You closed your eyes tightly as tears started to prickle, you were scared. So much more than before.
You hoped you didn't come out of Kuroo's unit, but you can't hide from Kenma forever. At this point, you can go to the other side of the globe and Kenma can still find you.
"Just...stop resisting," he said before Kenma noticed a light from the entrance of the parking lot.
"You're making this harder than it's supposed to."
Kenma decided to use that last resort, downing half of the content before he kissed you, pushing his tongue inside your mouth as well as the liquid and you gulped down some of it before Kenma leaned back.
"Swallow," he said firmly, now holding your cheeks again. "Spit it out and I'll seriously kill Kuro."
You didn't do anything as you glared at him, tears streaming down your face.
"And your former co-worker, the old couple and everyone you hold dear."
You started shaking your head.
"Then swallow it, kiska."
You slowly swallowed the liquid, gliding down your throat smoothly before Kenma released his hold on you. You felt somewhat exhausted from thrashing around earlier, your heartbeat increasing its pace.
"K-Kenma...what's that?"
"Don't worry, this wouldn't kill you," he said, closing the bottle as he put it inside his hoodie. "Unless you overdose. But you took just enough. You'll start to feel really good in a moment, so just stay still."
Kenma's eyes went up to the car that parked just across the parking space. While you on the other hand started to feel lightheaded, whatever you swallowed is starting to take effect now. Your body started to feel hotter and your breath came out heavier.
Somehow the feeling was familiar.
"K-Kenma..." you started as you felt your eyelids getting heavier. "Did you...give me..."
Your forehead fell on Kenma's shoulder before he decided to step outside the car and carried you out as he headed to the elevator.
Kenma thought the person who parked their car earlier already left but the man managed to slip inside the lift right before the door closed and Kenma bit his tongue to prevent himself from cussing out loud.
Kenma stood on the corner, carrying you up as you held on to his shoulder while the man glanced at Kenma's way.
"Is she alright?" he asked and Kenma blinked his eyes or he might have glared at the man for being too nosy.
"Yes, she's fine."
Kenma moved you closer to him when the man looked at you. When Kenma averted his gaze on the man, he knew the man is probably thinking about whether you're being kidnapped. He may not say it but Kenma can tell judging by how the man stood near the door of the lift and how he looks at you.
"Kenma...what's taking this long?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper as you snuggled closer to him. "Are we...back in our unit?"
Kenma had to hide the smirk. When you started mumbling, the man realized you weren't really being kidnapped.
"Sorry, my girlfriend is a bit drunk," Kenma said before looking at you. "We're almost at our floor."
The man nodded his head in understanding as the lift dinged open. When Kenma exited the lift, the man watched his retreating figure before the door closed. As he stood there, he noticed something on the floor. He bent down to get it and looked at the bottle.
"Wait..." he muttered, opening it as he took a sniff and scrunched his nose. "This is a strong aphrodisiac drug...right?"
