For the rest of the day you and Kenma were busy unboxing and arranging your stuffs that by the time your back hit the bed you quickly fell into a dreamless slumber.

Kenma watched you sleeping soundly, sitting at the edge of the bed as he brushed some strands of your hair to the side and lightly stroke your face, his touch akin to feathers as you sighed inaudibly and moved closer to him, snuggling closer to the blanket that provided a sort of warmth.

"She must have been tired," Kenma muttered before he leaned in to plant a feathery kiss atop your forehead. "Sleep more, kiska, I'll be right back."

You didn't stir from your sleep, you slightly moved to find a more comfortable spot but the stable rise and fall of your chest is an indication that you're still asleep. Kenma pushed himself up slightly as he leaned back. On the edge of the bed, Pudding was curled up but he perked up when Kenma moved.

His senses astonished Kenma as Pudding walked up to him before settling next to you.

"Watch Y/n while I'm gone, alright?"

Pudding purred lightly before he nuzzled closer to you and Kenma petted his head before he stood up.

He took a hoodie jacket, a black mask and his key fob before leaving the apartment unit. He headed down the underground parking lot and went to his car, driving out the street of Tokyo. It took him about twenty minutes until he got to the warehouse in Shinjuku.

"Is that man still alive?" Kenma asked, his voice a bit muffled from the fabric he is wearing to cover his mouth. The four men looked at him as one yanked the paper bag obscuring the man's face.

Kenma saw how beat up he looks, his lips busted, bruises started forming around his eyes, dried blood down his nose and Kenma thought he might have been missing a few teeth.

"We just did as you told us," one of the men said. "You're the one who hired us after all."

Kenma didn't say anything as he walked up to the man.

"W-Who are you...brat?" he asked and Kenma was so closed into hitting him again, but he doesn't want a single drop of blood on him tonight.

"Earlier, I was so mad I just lost it and forgot to ask you a question," Kenma said.

"How many?"

"W-What?" the man asked, confusion written all over his face.

Kenma clenched his teeth as he gripped the man's hair and made him look at him.

"How many times did you touch her?"

"H-Her?" the man asked again, his voice trembling.

"We both know who I'm talking about, unless there are other women you touched before."

But Kenma could really care less about the other women this man touched. He is only going to this length because it involved you.

"The girl you sexually assaulted in that cafΓ©."

Realization hit the man like a truck, his confusion earlier turned into anger. "T-that bitcβ€”"

Kenma backhanded the man even before he can finish that word. And here he thought he wouldn't get a drop of blood on him. But when the man suddenly coughed up blood, a few drop on his knuckles.

"How many?" Kenma asked again.

"T-Twice..." the man muttered.

"Where?"

"O-On the f-face...and t-thigh."

Kenma straightened up as he outstretched his hand and one of the men handed him a chisel knife.

"One finger for each time your filthy hand touched her skin."

"Wh-What?! Wait...y-you can't just...do that! That...that's a crime!"

Kenma really felt a surge of anger when he heard that and he felt like cutting one more finger.

"Crime? If we're talking about crimes you don't think what you did to her wasn't a crime?" Kenma felt really pissed.

"Oh, and I also dig quite a few things about you, guess what? You've been evading tax for quite a while now. You do know that's illegal, right?"

Kenma clicked his tongue as the man yelled in protest when the other men strapped his left hand onto the table. Even Kenma who owns a few assets and has more than enough money for someone as young as him is paying the right taxes.

"Speaking of which, you have a building right?" Kenma asked but the man was too scared now to even answer. "Sell it to me."

"H-Huh? No!"

Kenma slammed the tip of the chisel on the table between the man's pointer and middle finger.

"You should be glad I'm even offering to buy that building." Kenma paused for a moment. "On second thought, forget it, that building is as good as gone anyways."

Kenma took the chisel knife out and cut off his pointer finger, pushing the butt of the knife more as it cut through the bone. The next one he cut off was his middle finger and the man's scream drowned the silent warehouse. Not that anyone can hear him at this point. He might have actually passed out after that ordeal.

Kenma took out a handkerchief and wiped off the blood from his hands and neck, he reek of the metallic scent of blood wafted around and Kenma doesn't like that.

Once he walked out of the warehouse he released a breath before inhaling the fresh night breeze. He heard footsteps behind and one of the men who followed Kenma stopped behind him.

"What should we do with him?"

"Do what you want," Kenma muttered as he took out an envelope and handed it to the man. "It'd be better if you turn it into a cold case."

Kenma left afterwards. It's scary how money can do everything and Kenma has a lot to spare. As he drove back to Minato Ward, Kenma's eyes are fixed on the road ahead. Oddly enough, even after what he did, the only thing he just feels now is the need to see you.

When Kenma finally got back, he was greeted by Pudding, rubbing his fur around Kenma's legs as he picked him up. "I thought I told you to keep an eye on Y/n?"

Kenma walked to the room and placed Pudding on the bed. He looked at you for a few seconds, making sure you're still asleep, before he stood up and went to the closet to get a new pair of clothes. Kenma took a short shower, just to wash off the sweat and blood from his body, before he finally joined you in bed while Pudding settled at the edge.

---

The next day, you woke up first and you found Kenma snuggling close to you. It wasn't just Kenma but Pudding as well.

"My two boys," you said as you slowly sat up, careful as to not stir the two from their seemingly peaceful slumber.

You headed to the kitchen, at least there aren't any boxes, you thought you and Kenma actually finished arranging the boxes and stuff. The only thing left is the final touches you thought.

"But first things first, breakfast," you said, rubbing your stomach as you suddenly felt hungry.

But when you looked in the fridge, you realized that there weren't any food. Not even in the cupboard. Yesterday you and Kenma had food delivered in the unit. You sighed as you realized you needed to wait for Kenma to wake up before you two could go out to buy food.

As you sat on the couch, you saw Pudding walking up to you and you picked him up. "Pudding, you're the only one who has food. Do you wanna have your breakfast?"

You headed to the kitchen and took out a bowl as you filled it with cat food. You leaned on the kitchen island, propping your elbow atop it as you watched Pudding eat his fill of breakfast.

You were a bit preoccupied watching him that you didn't hear Kenma's footsteps as he approached from behind until you suddenly felt him snuggling you.

"Kenma," you said straightening up as you turned around so you can face him.

"Did you sleep well last night?" he asked and you nodded as you lifted your hand and brush his hair, while you're brushing his tangled locks, Kenma noticed Pudding eating his breakfast.

"I'm hungry too," Kenma said as he averted his gaze and looked at you.

"Ah, Kenma... we don't have any food."

"Then should we go out and buy some food?"

Suddenly you remembered something. "Kenma, don't you dislike going outside?"

Kenma was silent for a few seconds before he answered. You should have expected that answer but that still surprised you a bit.

"I don't dislike it when you're with me." Kenma put both his hands atop the island as he leaned close to you. "So Y/n, you need to stay with me for a long time."

You smiled at him as you nodded. "I'm not going anywhere, Kenma."

He just needed to hear that. But Kenma thought if you knew what he did last night, would you have said the same thing? Kenma shoo away that thought as fast as it invaded his mind. No need to ponder about useless things. Not like anything would change anyways.

Whether you know or not and whether you say you're going to stay with him or not. Nothing will change. Because either way, Kenma doesn't plan on letting you go anywhere.

---

Afterwards, days blurred by and a week later you found yourself sitting outside a coffee shop with your co-worker. You were really happy to see her again after a while.

"Have you found a job, senpai?"

"Yep! My boyfriend helped me find one."

That's right, Kenma mentioned something about your co-worker dating Yamamoto, which surprised you at first but you can see them clicking together. They were both kind and a great friend after all.

"That's really good to hear," you said.

"How about you, Y/n? Have you found a new place to move in to?" she asked though judging by the way she gave you that look, you take it she already knew. "Is it true you moved in with you know who?"

"Who?" you asked and you noticed her eyes averted from behind.

"Speaking of whom," she said. "Kozume-kun, Kuroo-kun. It's nice to see you two here."

You turned around and saw the two walking up to your table. Even if it's Saturday, you still have a lecture to attend, you told Kenma you were meeting your co-worker, but you were surprised to see him here with Kuroo as the two sat on the vacant chairs.

"Tora-kun would be really jelly if he finds out we're all here," your co-worker said. And for a second you thought she already let go of the topic earlier.

But apparently, she didn't.

"So, Y/n, you moved in with Kozume-kun, eh?" she said, wiggling her eyebrows.

You didn't say anything because you knew the more you say the more she'll tease you.

It was Kuroo who broke the brief silence around.

"Ah, I heard from Yamamoto that you already have a new job?"

"Yes, actually I was planning to leave the cafΓ© by the end of this month. But suddenly we were informed that the building was being taken by the Government."

"Taken?" Kuroo asked. "Not sold?"

When he said that, Kenma's hand froze slightly before he looked at Kuroo who quickly averted his gaze from him but Kenma already noticed it.

"Apparently, that old man is guilty of tax evasion. I heard he went missing, probably he flew abroad to avoid charges so the Government just took his assets here."

"I see..." Kuroo said as he nodded before he looked back at Kenma who is still looking at Kuroo. He didn't avert his eyes from Kuroo.

Kenma wanted to know what he's thinking as much as Kuroo does. But Kenma already knew.

He thinks Kenma is behind that incident.

Kenma thought about something right then. He only did that to that man because of what he did to you. But Kenma wondered, will there ever come a point when he will do it not only to those who hurt you, but to those who try to protect you too.

Whether a person tries to hurt or protect you, regardless of that, so long as that person comes between you and Kenma, Kenma knew he'll do the same.

Get rid of that person.

It was such a frightening thought. At least Kenma is aware of it for now.

For now.

But what happens when he's no longer aware of how terrifying his thoughts were and he'll just let everything run rampant?Β
