Kenma said you don't have to worry about your things left in your apartment unit last night, not that there a lot of boxes since you don't own much anyways, you just don't feel the need to buy more things.

He told you he'll have someone bring them over to the new apartment unit, you haven't seen it yet but you knew it would be way bigger and more extravagant than your old apartment building, to what extent, you don't even want to think about that yet.

"Kenma said he'll pick me up at ten," you said, looking at your phone to both check the time and any notification indicating that Kenma has messaged you. "But it's already eleven."

You paced around the empty parking space, your things had been moved out earlier today and you just wait for Kenma now but he's an hour late. You couldn't help but think about what could have happened to him, but you limit your thoughts to simply just him being caught in traffic. You don't want to think that something bad might have happened to him.

But half an hour later, you decided to call Kenma.

You put the phone close to your ear but his phone was turned off. You tried to call him again when suddenly something obscured your vision and you gasped as your blood run cold and you felt like ice cold water was poured on you for a second.

Until the person spoke.

"Relax, it's me," Kenma said, putting his hands down as he looked at you.

You released a shaky breath as you tried to laugh it off but even your laughter sounded forced because of the way your heart just suddenly beat so fast earlier.

"You scared me, Kenma."

"Did I?" Kenma asked, a little surprise but that expression was gone as fast as it came and he lifted his hand to caress your face.

"Alright, I wouldn't do that again," he said. "You looked really scared."

"Oh...I'm fine now," you said slowly, lifting your hand to hold his as he lowered his hand and interlocked your fingers together as Kenma started to walk.

"Let's eat lunch first," Kenma informed you as you stepped inside the car and he followed soon after.

The ride to the restaurant was engulfed in silence, saved from some occasional conversation but nothing too long as you look out the window. Even though the rainy season started, today seem like a good day with how clear the sky is and how bright it is outside. You thought it's really a good day to move in to a new abode.

When you looked ahead, from the corner of your eye you couldn't help but noticed Kenma's hands atop the steering wheel. When you looked at them your eyebrows furrowed.

"Kenma what hapβ€”"

"We're here," he said, cutting you off, as he parked his car outside a restaurant. Before you can even ask your question again, Kenma was already out of the car and you followed.

You caught up beside him and when you looked down on his hand, you saw that he already put them inside his pocket. You thought it might have just been the tricked of the light but when you were sitting inside the restaurant, just as you two started to eat, you were sure of it.

When Kenma put his hand down, you quickly held it, surprising Kenma a bit as he looked at you.

"What happened to your knuckles?" you asked and Kenma's gaze averted from you down to his hand that you were holding.

You stroke his knuckles lightly with your thumb and Kenma couldn't help but flinched a bit.

"Ah, sorry, does it hurt?" you asked but Kenma shook his head.

"It's just a slight bruise, nothing too serious. Finish your food now."

"A slight bruise," you muttered as Kenma took his hand back. "How'd you get that bruise?"

Kenma lightly touched it, he didn't feel it earlier because it was still a bit numb, but now it's starting to sting. "I...hit something earlier," he said before he put his hands down under the table.

"When they were moving the stuff in the new apartment unit, I accidentally hit something. Don't worry about it, it doesn't hurt."

"Oh, alright," you said slowly. "I was just worried. I'll treat it later when we get back."

"Sure," Kenma said, his gaze averting down to his hand forming it into a fist as his knuckles visibly started to redden.

Earlier that morning, approximately one and a half hour before coming to pick you up, Kenma decided to take a detour.

He was driving to the apartment building where you were waiting since he told you he'll pick you up at ten but suddenly his phone started to ring, a single message displayed on the screen.

We have him.

Kenma decided to turn back, he knew that wouldn't take long.

But when he saw that man, the owner of the cafΓ© and the building, the one who did those disgusting things to you, Kenma just lost it. He might have actually spent half an hour beating him up that his knuckle started to bruise.

Kenma, who hated being tired more than anything, managed to beat someone up because of how pissed he is every time he thought of how the man touched you.

If he actually has a little bit more stamina like Hinata, Kenma could go on for the rest of the day beating that man up. But half an hour later he felt exhausted.

Kenma knew money can be really scary, but not as much as the person who holds that money, the root of all evil isn't really money but the person who holds them. A few hundred thousand yen and those guys managed to bring that man in a secluded part in Shinjuku upon Kenma's orders. When he remembered how that man begged him earlier, Kenma chuckled lowly, making you looked at him.

"Kenma?" you asked, taking his attention. You thought you heard him chuckling earlier but when you looked at him, his face is neutral. "I'm finished with my food. Should we go to the apartment unit now?"

Kenma nodded as he stood up and you followed him outside. But before both of you could get inside his car, Kenma stopped.

"Ah, can we go somewhere first?"

"Where?" You asked and when you looked back at Kenma you were a bit surprise to notice that he's actually really close to you.

"It's a secret," he said, leaning back after he whispered those words and you felt the tip of your ears heating up.

You turned back around and stepped inside the car or Kenma might see your flustered face. He can't just do that outside in broad daylight, you thought. Always whispering things close to your ear like that, his hot breath tickling your neck. You unconsciously rubbed the back of your neck just as Kenma got inside the car.

You looked outside as Kenma continued to drive, a little curious about where you two are heading. And since you were looking outside, you suddenly noticed the familiar building as the car passed by that street.

"The cafΓ© is close?" you muttered as you leaned back on the seat.

"What's close?" Kenma asked.

"Oh...the uhh...cafΓ© where I used to work at, we just passed by it earlier and I noticed it was close. It's Saturday so it was kind of odd that it's close."

Kenma didn't say anything else after that so you stayed quiet as well, since you were no longer working there, you shouldn't really care less whether it's close or not. But then you remember your co-worker, you just hoped she did what you advised her last time, to go find another job. But you knew even that wouldn't be easy.

Your train of thoughts were abruptly cut off when the car slowed down and halted outside what looks like a pet shop. When you entered, you realized it was indeed a pet shop.

"Kenma, what are we doing here?"

"I want you to pick something," he said, taking your hand as he pulled you to an aisle where different sizes of collars for pets are displayed, you two stopped in front of the shelf for cat collars and you realized something.

"Kenma, did you adopt a kitten?"

The small hint of smile that made its way on his lips was enough confirmation that he indeed adopted one. You turned to the shelf and browse through the different collars. There were expensive looking ones with rhinestones, the cute ones and the plain ones, but even the plain ones look adorable.

In the end, you opted for a leather collar with gold bell.

"Here, I want this one," you said, showing it to Kenma.

"Oh, that looks good," he said. "Anything else you want to buy for him?"

"Him? It's a male? I heard male cats are more affectionate than female ones, ah I can't wait to meet him."

"Really?" Kenma asked.

He heard about that too, that male cats are typically more affectionate than female ones. But what Kenma likes about male cats is that they knew how to mark their territory. "Then, if you can't wait to meet him, should we go now?"

"Sure!" you said as you headed to the counter while Kenma followed behind.

After paying for the collar, Kenma drove back to the apartment building.

And since you were more excited to meet the cat, since Kenma knew that your mind will be too preoccupied at the thought of a new pet, you didn't notice the apartment building and how luxurious it looks. Once you arrived at the floor, Kenma went inside first while you followed behind.

"I'll go get him," Kenma said and you nodded as you waited in the living room.

You looked around a bit and realized the unit is really spacious and you can see the Tokyo Tower from the balcony.

"Y/n," Kenma called and when you turned around to face him, the first thing you noticed was the Siamese cat in his arms. Its coat a bit grayish on its body and became darker on the face and ears, its eyes in particular draw you in, they're a pair of electric blue orbs.

"He's so beautiful," you said as Kenma walked up to you, holding the cat.

You lifted your hand and petted the cat as he leaned his head more towards you and nuzzled on your palm.

"Do you want to put the collar around him?"

"Oh right, the collar," you said as you took the box and opened it, taking the leather collar.

"Here you go. So people would know you belong to Kenma and I," you said, putting the collar around the cat as he stayed still. After making sure the collar is not too firm nor too loose, Kenma handed him to you.

"You're so adorable," you said, hugging him as you sat on the couch.

"Do you like him?" Kenma asked and you looked up.

"Of course! I love him already."

Kenma's small smile faded and you noticed it right away. He took a step towards you and sat on the couch beside you.

"Isn't that kind of unfair, Y/n?" he suddenly asked and you furrowed your brows. "It's the first time you met the cat and you said you love him already. While you haven't even told me you love me."

You felt your face started to heat up after hearing what Kenma said. Your heart started to beat faster in a pleasant way. You knew your face is starting to get tinted in red by now as you looked at him.

"N-Name," you blurted out and Kenma frowned.

"Name?"

"Does the cat have a name?"

Kenma was silent for a second before he shook his head. "I was waiting for you to name him."

You lifted the cat and looked at him. "Hmm, what should I name you?"

The cat's eyes are wide and his pupils are dilated, making him even cuter than he already is.

"Hmm..." you hummed, squinting as you think of possible names.

Suddenly, something clicked in your mind and you blurted out the first thing that came to your mind.

"Apple pie?"

Kenma turned to you but you were focused on the cat that doesn't seem to like the word.

"Oh...wait, how about...pudding?"

Kenma thought it was just a coincidence at first, but now he was sure of it.

"Alright, your name is now officially pudding!"

You just named the cat pudding because everyone back in high school used to call Kenma pudding head.

"Y/n," Kenma said and you slowly look at him. "Apple pie...pudding...did you do that on purpose?"

"I...don't know what you're talking about, Kenma," you said as you avoided eye contact and averted your gaze back at the cat. "Right, Pudding?"

"Nyan?"
