hanbin pov
'and you chose mathematics, really?' she scrunched her nose taking another bite of her hamburger.
'hey, i like it' i reply as she raises her hands up in defense. she stuffed another piece of fries in her mouth. she was the classy types yet enjoyed food so much, cute.
i frown realizing i called her cute yet again.
'i haben't hab it for months now', she raises eyebrows before slowing down and gulping the remains with her pepsi.
'you'll choke if you speak while eating' i reply biting into my hamburger. we eat in silence for a while and in minutes the food disappears.
she protests in futile when i pay the bill,
and stays quiet as we walk out and i clear my throat before speaking, 'you wanted to talk about something?' she batted her eyelashes as her lips quirked up.
'yes-,' she paused looking over my shoulders as i followed her eye line.
donut shop, it read.
'can we-
'do you-' i pressed my lips together, nodding as she smiled up at me, turning towards the store. was it so easy to make her smile? food?
we sat with her four different donuts.
she ate heartily, and i stared at her. the air conditioning made her hair fall from being behind her ears. my hands itched to tuck the strands disturbing her from eating but she beat me to it.
realising my stare, she put down her rainbow sprinkles special donut and dusted her hands before crossing them on her chest.
'so like i was saying, i was thinking about some lowkey ways to announce that we have some sort of exclusive relationship, situationship, whatever but some gossip -, her eyes twinkled as she ranted, - so his party would work perfectly don't you think?' i nodded
'yeah but like', i flattered at my chain of thought but continued when she nibbled on her lower lip in anticipation, 'we uhm, we should or like don't you want to set up rules so that i don't cross your boundaries or vice versa.' she went poker-face before breaking into a giggle.
'you watch rom-coms' she declared as my ears turned hot as i bashfully looked at my feet like she discovered some secret of my life.
get a grip, stupid.
'don't worry red, i like them too' she mumbled so softly that i almost didn't catch it and took a small bite of her dessert before continuing.
'so what ground rules do you have in mind ?' i watched in silence as she a tore a paper from her notebook and handed me a pen.
she ate peeping into the paper as i wrote everything down once in while.
'no kissing? woah, red, to make matthew buy our act we'll have to kiss eventually. he knows that i lean towards physical affection.' she confesses, shrugging when i raise my eyebrows.
'fine when required maybe' she signaled an okay
'no falling in love? haha you have watched many movies, red, that's cute' she scrutinizes rest of paper before adding more points.
'hanbin will drive me everyday, fine by me, we live nearby anyways.' she nodded and passed me another paper.
'write them down neatly' she orders, pointing to the changes she made.
'by the way which film gave you this curiosity to try out'
'to all the boys i've loved before' i reply absent-minded but pause when i look up to her mouth curved in a smirk.
'aw red, lara jean inspired you' she teased as i passed her a glare, shutting her up for a moment before she breaks into a grin. she'll never let me live that down.
get a grip, stupid
