SKYE WALKED INTO the school, she hadn't been going to school for a while. After everything that had happened during the past few weeks, she just wasn't in the mood for school.

She was way behind in school, so she had to work hard to catch up on everything. Good thing she had Pony so he could help her catch up.

She was going to make sure she graduated, she was going to get out of that town no matter what.

From now on her main focus would be school. But she was going to make sure she made time for other things, like Soda for example.

School ruined one relationship, she wasn't going to let it ruin another one. So she had to multitask, and try not to let the stress get to her.

After each of her classes she stayed and talked to the teachers about what she needed to catch up on, and if there were any extra credit opportunities.

Her grades weren't too bad, but they were dropping by the second and she had to keep her grades up.

After school Skye took home a stack of packets that she missed. Her English teacher assigned her a novel that she had to read and then write an essay about.

She had like five packets from her math class, and she had a lot to do in chemistry. She also had some extra work from her other classes.

She was swamped with work, so she went straight home and began working. She was into three hours of work when there was a knock on the door.

She let out a tired sigh and she stood up from the floor, she opened the door to reveal Soda. He had a grin on his face and a bag of food in his hands, "I brought take-out," he said walking into the house.

"Oh my god thank you!" Skye exclaimed, snatching the bag out of his hands and rushing into the kitchen.

Soda chuckled and followed after her, "Someone's hungry," he smiled and Skye dug around in the bag. "I am starving."

"Well you've been working yourself too hard, you can take a little break," Soda said rubbing her back. Skye looked back at her textbooks and she decided that a little break wouldn't hurt.

"A break sounds really nice right now," she said and Soda smiled, he took out some plates and they sat down on the couch eating the food and watching tv.

They finished eating and they just cuddled up on the couch for a while watching Mickey. "That's a lot of homework," Soda said as he looked down at the papers and books spread out on the table.

"Yeah, that's what I get for not going to school," Skye sighed as she sat up straight. "Oh come on, just one more minute," Soda pleaded as Skye began going back to work.

"I can't, I have to finish all of this by next week, I don't have time for anything right now," Skye said. Soda sighed, "Yeah, I know, I just don't want you to stress yourself out," Soda said.

"Well with school, work, you, and everything else that's going on, I was going to stress myself out eventually," Skye said.

"Just don't overwork yourself alright? Get some sleep, you look like hell."

Skye looked over at him, "Gee thanks."

Soda chuckled and he kissed the top of her head and stood up, "I better go before Darry starts to worry," Soda said stretching his arms out.

Skye nodded, "Ok, I'll see you tomorrow," she smiled pecking his lips. He smiled and he walked towards the door, "Bye!"

"Bye!"

The door shut and Skye frowned looking down at her homework.

Time to get to work.

SKYE SPENT THE whole week finishing up her homework. She was all caught up in most of her classes, she was at Pony's house right now because he was helping her with her English.

"Can't you just do this for me? I mean your smart, you can do it," Skye said and Pony shook his head.

"I will no do it for you, I can help you, but i'm not going to give myself extra homework for free," Pony said and Skye groaned slamming her head onto the table.

"Careful, don't want to mess up that beautiful face now do we?" Soda said as he walked into the kitchen.

Skye looked up, "Yes we do."

Soda snickered and he grabbed a coke out of the fridge, "I told you not to overwork yourself," he said sitting down next to her.

"And I'm not, why do you think Pony's here?"

"To be your emotional support,"

Skye glared at him, "You're lucky your smart," she grumbled and Soda chuckled.

"I would help you but i'm stupid so," Soda shrugged and Skye frowned, "You are not stupid, your just not interested in learning like the other kids are, which is totally okay, I still love you either way," Skye said.

Soda's jaw dropped and Pony's eyes widened.

Skye's eyebrows furrowed, "What?"

She looked at the two and she finally realized, her eyes widening. "Ohโ€” I did not mean to say that."

Soda just looked at her still in shock.

"I am so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you with that, it just came out and-"

"It's okay."

Skye stopped rambling, "It is?"

"Yeah, it's okay because I love you too," Soda said, a smile forming on his face. Skye smiled, "You do?"

"I'm just gonna leave," Pony said walking out awkwardly.

"Of course I do, how could I not?"

Skye grinned and she kissed him on the lips, they pulled away and Skye leaned her head against his chest.

She let out a sigh, "I promise that once I finish my homework, that I will spend more time with you," Skye said and Soda smiled softly at the girl.

"I'm holding you up on that," he said as he stood up, Skye smiled and she noticed that Pony was gone.

"Pony get your ass back in here!"

Pony poked his head out, "You two done being all lovey dovey?" He asked and Skye rolled her eyes. "Yes we're done."

Pony grinned and he sat back down.

"I gotta go help Steve fix up his car, I'll see you later!" Soda shouted as he walked out of the house.

Skye waved him goodbye and her and Pony got back to work.

Skye managed to finish her English assignments and essays with the help of Pony. After they finished they watched TV on the couch, Two-Bit came in at one point and joined them.

Soda came back with Steve, Soda sat next to Skye and wrapped his arm around her. They all watched TV until it was getting dark.

Skye stood up and stretched, "I should get going, it's late and I have school tomorrow," Skye said.

"Aw don't remind me, I hate Mondays," Pony grumbled and Skye chuckled, "Who doesn't?"

Soda stood up and wrapped his arm around Skye's waist and pulled her into a kiss. They pulled away, "I'll see you tomorrow."

Skye nodded and smiled, "Bye guys!" She shouted as she walked out of the house.

Skye walked all the way home, her mom wasn't home and she knew that because all the lights were off.

Skye put her key in and her eyebrows furrowed when the lock didn't click. She opened the door and walked in, she looked around the dark living room.

She was sure she locked the door before leaving the house, unless her mom came back and forgot to lock it.

There was a noise heard from her bedroom, her head snapped towards the door. "Mom?"

There was no response.

Skye began walking slowly towards her room, her door was cracked open but she couldn't see anything since it was too dark.

She walked into the room and she could see something moving by her dresser, she turned the light on and her eyes widened.

There was a person standing there dressed in all black, they were wearing a ski mask over their face so she couldn't determine who the person was.

The person turned their head towards her and they lunged at her. Skye let out a gasp as the person tackled her onto the floor.

Skye let out a groan and the person stood up quickly and was about to run, Skye turned herself around and she grabbed the persons leg which caused them to trip.

"Oh no you don't."

Skye got on top of the person and she tried pulling the ski mask off to reveal who was under it, but the person fought back.

The person managed to get their hands free and they flipped Skye over to where the person was on top of Skye now.

They pinned her hands down and Skye tried breaking out of their grip but they were too strong for her.

The person's eyes landed on Skye's necklace and they ripped the necklace off, they stood up and Skye tried grabbing them again but they kicked her in the stomach and they ran out the door.

Skye laid there holding her stomach, gasping for air. They had literally kicked the air out of her. She didn't know who the person was, but this was the second time they had broken in.

She didn't know what they were looking for, but it wasn't good.

This started off cute, and ended, well not so cute. Some big things are happening in these next few chapters, but don't worry you will still be getting some fluff:)
