AS PROMISED, SKYE visited Soda after school. Since she wasn't working, she just hung around the DX while Soda worked. And when he wasn't working, they would be making out in the supply closet.

Right before Skye left to go back home, Soda suggested that they go to the nightly double to watch a movie.

Skye agreed to that and told him that she would let the boys know. She walked to the Curtis home and she let everyone know about the movie.

They all agreed and Pony said that Darry would be getting out early which meant he could join them. Skye was happy about that, it's been a while since Darry got to spend time with the whole gang like that.

The boys got home from work, they all showered and got ready to go. No one made dinner since they would be eating at the nightly double.

They all headed out and decided to walk since they wouldn't all fit in the truck.

Soda had his arm wrapped around Skye's shoulders as they walked, and Skye had her arm wrapped around his waist.

Steve shoved himself in between the two and he wrapped his arms around both of them, "Hello friends." He grinned.

Skye and Soda glared at him, "What Steve?"

"Evie will be joining us at the movies, so no pda until we get there," Steve said and walked away.

Skye rolled her eyes and Soda looked at her and smirked, "What?" She asked him.

"Get on my back." He whispered, Skye looked over at Steve who wasn't paying attention to them and she grinned.

Soda hunched down so Skye could climb onto his back, Skye hopped on and Soda stood up straight with Skye on his back.

Soda walked over to Steve, "How's this for pda?"

Steve glared at the two and tried to catch the two but Soda ran off with Skye on his back.

They both laughed as Steve failed to catch them.

"Okay fine, you win." Steve stopped, trying to catch his breath. Soda and Skye smirked and gave each other a high-five.

They walked the rest of the way in peaceful silence...well Soda and Skye did. The boys were behind them shouting at each other.

Soda kept Skye on his back, not wanting to let her go. She got down though when they made it the nightly double, they snuck in through the broken fence and they grabbed some seats.

Evie was already there waiting for them.

Skye and Soda sat next to each other, Steve and Evie sat next to each other, and the other boys took the row in front of them.

"Hey look, a gummy worm," Two-Bit laughed as he grabbed a gummy worm from the floor. He was about to eat it when Skye smacked the back of his head.

"Don't eat that."

Two-Bit rubbed the back of his head and scowled at the girl, he tossed the gummy worm aside and sat back in his seat with his arms crossed like a child.

"I'm gonna go get some popcorn," Skye whispered to Soda, "Do you want me to go with you?" He asked her.

"No I'll be fine."

Soda nodded and Skye stood up and headed over to the conception stands. She stood in line waiting to get some popcorn when someone shoved her from behind.

Skye turned around ready to yell at the person who shoved her, but she stopped herself when she saw that it was Sandy.

"You stupid little bitch!" Sandy shouted as she took a swing at Skye. Skye dodged her hit and she backed up, "What the hell are you doing?!"

"I know you told Soda about the baby! I was so close to having him and you just had to go and ruin it didn't you?!" Sandy shouted.

Skye looked at the girl in disbelief, "Did you expect me to just let you keep lying to him?!"

"Yes! He would've believed me too if it weren't for your big mouth!" Sandy shouted, "Soda would not have believed you, what did you think would happen if no baby came?" Skye said.

"Soda would have believed me because he's just that stupid," Sandy said, Skye glared at the girl and she raised her hand, her palm connecting with Sandy's cheek.

Sandy's jaw dropped, she turned her head and she charged at the girl, letting out a scream. Sandy tackled Skye onto the floor and she began pulling at her hair.

Skye grabbed Sandy's hands to stop her from pulling her hair, she twisted one of her hands and Sandy let out a scream.

Skye shoved her off and she stood up, Sandy stood up quickly and was about to smack her when Skye caught her hand.

Sandy's eyes widened as Skye's fist connected with her nose. Sandy stumbled back as she held her bleeding nose, "You bitch!"

Sandy was ready to charge at her again when she was held back by someone.

That someone being Darry.

Soda rushed to Skye's side, checking her for any serious wounds.

"Are you okay? What the hell happened?" He questioned, Skye let out a deep breath and looked at Sandy who was still trying to break free from Darry's grip.

"She happened."

"Soda! Did you see what she did to me? She broke my nose, she's crazy!" Sandy shouted.

"Oh I'll break more than your nose." Skye threatened as she walked towards Sandy, Soda grabbed her shoulders holding her back.

"You see? She's insane! I was just getting some popcorn when she came at me for no reason!" Sandy said.

Skye scoffed at her horrible lie.

"Do you really think I'm gonna believe you?" Soda said, Sandy's face dropped and Skye snickered.

"After what you did, I will never believe you again, stay away from me, stay away from my friends, and stay away from my girlfriend." Soda spat out.

He grabbed Skye's hand and led her away, Darry let go of Sandy and walked after them. "Are you okay?" Soda asked Skye.

"Yeah I'm fine, she's not a very good fighter." Skye shrugged and Soda chuckled.

"But she is very slippery." Darry commented and Skye laughed.

They went back to their seats and the boys started questioning her about the fight.

"Who won?"

"Did you do any damage?"

"How hard did you hit her?"

"Alright back off, you can ask her about it after the movie," Soda said waving the boys off. They all groaned and turned back around in their seats to watch the movie.

"I never even got my popcorn." Skye pouted, Soda smiled and wrapped his arm around her and pulled her in.

"I'll buy you one before we leave."

"How bad was it?" Evie whispered, "I broke her nose." Skye whispered back.

Evie snickered, "Nice. I never liked the bitch," Evie said and Skye snorted.

They finished watching the movie in silence and as promised, Soda bought Skye some popcorn before they left.

By the time they were home Skye had already finished the popcorn. Steve had left to walk Evie home, Dallas ran off somewhere, probably to get drunk or to steal something.

Two-Bit went home since there was no beer left at the Curtis house.

Since Skye was still staying with the boys, Pony and Johnny had been sleeping in the living room. She felt bad for kicking Pony out of his room, but he had promised her that he actually liked sleeping on the couch so he didn't mind.

Skye was in the bathroom brushing her teeth while Soda was in the room getting changed. Skye walked into the room and she jumped onto the bed.

Soda slipped his shirt on and he jumped onto Skye, Skye let out a groan and she shoved him off.

"That hurt!"

Soda laughed and he wrapped his arms around her, "I'm sorry babe."

Skye buried her face into his chest and she let out a sigh. "When are you going to let me go back home? I mean I like staying here and all, but I haven't heard from my mom in days, I'm starting to get a little worried." Skye said.

"We can go to your house after work tomorrow to see if she's there, if she's not then that means she got your note," Soda said.

"Hopefully she did, I still don't think it's safe to stay there yet," Skye said.

"You might as well move in with me, that way you don't have to feel scared in your own house," Soda said.

"I would if I could."

"Well why can't you?"

"I never told you did I?" Skye said as she sat up, Soda also sat up, "Told me what?"

"My mom, isn't actually my mom."

"I remember you mentioning it when we first met but I didn't know if you were serious or not," Soda said.

"Well I was, she's my adopted mother, so she's not my biological mom," Skye said.

"Your adopted?"

"Yeah, her and her husband adopted me when I was eight, her husband is dead now, he died a few years ago and since then my moms been going off the rails, she doesn't care about anything anymore, she only cares about getting drunk and laid." Skye explained.

"What happened to your biological parents?" Soda asked, Skye didn't say anything and he got the hint.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," he reassured her. She shook her head, "No it's fine, I want to tell you, I mean I was gonna have to at some point anyways," Skye said.

Skye looked down and started playing with her fingers, she never liked talking about her parents. It was always a sensitive subject to her, hence why no one knows about them.

"My parents were murdered when I had just turned eight, some guys broke into our house in the middle of the night and my dad try to fight back, they went after my mom next...they would have killed me too if my mom hadn't called the cops before they could get her, the cops showed up right before they could find me, and the two guys ran off."

"My mom had hid me in one of the hallway closets...I saw the whole thing through the crack of the door." Skye said.

"They never found the two guys, but my parents didn't make it and they put me into the foster care system until my current mom and her husband found me and apparently they liked me and adopted me." Skye explained.

Soda grabbed Skye's hands, "I am so sorry you had to go through that, no one deserves to see that, especially not you." Soda said.

Skye smiled sadly, "I love you."

"I love you too." Soda said, he kissed her hands and rubbed his thumb on her hand.

"Always."

Now you finally know more about Skye's backstory and more about her parents. I'm already half way through this story, things are starting to get exciting!
