SUMMER PASSED BY faster than Skye would have liked it to. She spent the summer working and enjoying the time she had left with her family. The boys had promised her to make it one of the best summers she ever had and it was.

There was never a dull moment with those boys and she loved that about them, they were always full of surprises.

It was moving day and Soda was doing everything he possibly could to get Skye to stay and not leave him. "Soda! You know I can't stay, we talked about this." Skye scolded him, trying to get out of his grip.

He was holding on very tightly to her hand, it was like they were playing tug of war but with her hand. "Then we should talk about it more! I don't want you to leave!" He whined.

Skye stopped fighting him and let out a sigh, "I know, but you know going to college is my dream, I can't just give it up just like that."

"Not even for me?"

"I've been dreaming of this way before I even knew you existed, so no, not even for you."

Soda huffed and he finally let her go, "Fine, I'm not going to hold you back from your dreams, I'm just going to miss you so much." He pouted.

Skye smiled softly and she stood in between his legs and wrapped her arms around his neck, "I'm going to miss you too, more than you know." She placed a small kiss on his lips.

"I'm going to miss your kisses."

Skye chuckled and pulled away from him, "Come on, help me load my suitcases into the car."

Soda sighed and grabbed her suitcases and loaded them into her car. She was only bringing the things she needed, she could buy more stuff when she moved into her dorm room.

She was pretty excited to meet her roommate, it would be nice to have some company and a friend.

The boys showed up at her house to say goodbye, they all hugged her and wished her good luck at college.

Two-Bit gave her a whole speech about being in the big city and to watch out for muggers, Dallas also gave her a little speech and told her not to walk alone at night.

He also told her to keep her blade on her at all times, the point of going to New York was to leave the gangs, the fighting, and her blade behind, but that's something she'll never be able to get away from.

Soda was the last one to say goodbye, his hug was a lot longer than the others but she didn't mind. She kissed him goodbye and got into the passengers seat, her mom was going with her so she could help her settle in, and then she was driving back in the car.

Skye didn't think she needed her own car in college, that's what the bus and subway was for.

They drove off and Skye stuck her head out the window and waved them all goodbye. She frowned once they were out of sight and she sat back in her seat and let the tears fall.

She was going to miss them all so much.

~THREE MONTHS LATER~

"So, how's college so far?"

"It's great! I love it here, my classes aren't too bad which is great, my professors are nice, my roommate is amazing, the only downside is that you're not here." Skye frowned.

"Don't worry, we'll see each other soon, only one month left until you come back home for the holidays!" Soda exclaimed excitedly.

"Oh I can't wait! I finally get to see you and the boys and my mom, I miss you all like crazy." Skye sighed, "And we miss you too, but don't worry, you haven't missed much since you left, everything is still the same, although Dallas did get arrested again."

Skye sat up in her bed, "What?!"

"But don't worry, we bailed him out, again."

"What did he do?"

"He was stealing again, you know, the usual."

"I told him to stop doing that, I told him he would get caught and now look at him, this is his second time, I say next time his ass gets hauled into jail that you leave him there so he can learn his lesson." Skye said.

Soda chuckled, "Skye, it's Dallas, he'll never learn his lesson."

"That's true, he's too stubborn."

"Anyways, how's work? How's Steve? And Evie? They still together?" Skye questioned, "Yeah, they're still together and they've been going out a lot more than usual, and Steve looks happier when he's with her so it's great, and work, well it's work." Soda answered.

"Aw, that's great! Tell Steve I said hi and that I miss him, tell Evie and the rest of the boys the same thing!"

"Will do, I have to go a customer just came in but talk to you tomorrow?" Soda said.

"Yeah, tomorrow, bye I love you!"

"Love you too!"

They hung up and Skye laid back in her bed and let out a sigh, her roommate walked up to her and crossed her arms.

"So you're lying now?"

Skye rolled her eyes, "It's not lying, I'm just...withholding the truth."

"Mm, pretty sure it's lying."

Skye huffed, "Fine, I'm lying, so what? I couldn't tell him that I hate it here and that my classes suck and that my teachers are annoying, stuck up pricks, but hey, I didn't lie about the amazing roommate part, you are pretty amazing."

"I am aren't I?"

"It's fine though, It's only been three months it's just taking a while to get used to everything, it'll be fine." Skye shrugged it off.

"You've been saying that for the past three months."

"So?"

Her roommate rolled her eyes and walked away.

Skye had to admit, college was a lot harder than she expected it to be. She was having a hard time keeping up with all her classes and she felt like her teachers hated her.

She was completely unorganized and could barely stay awake from how late she stayed up every night doing homework.

It was like high school all over again but worse.

At least then she had Soda and the gang supporting her, but now she was all alone.

She was in the real world now and she had to accept that fact, she had to woman up and get her act together. This was her dream and she wasn't going to let homework get in the way of her dream.

She also got a part time job at the little diner across the street, so on top of all the homework she had to do, she also had to go to work and earn some pocket cash so she could pay to stay in college and to put some food in her stomach.

Thank god for her roommate, because without her Skye would've been rotting in her dorm room from starving herself to death because she couldn't afford to buy a single banana.

They both spilt the costs of their dorm, meaning the groceries, and everything else that came with the room.

It was hard but Skye could do it, she's been through worse, this was nothing.

She just wished she had Soda here to accompany her and be there for her. She missed him like crazy. She couldn't wait to see him for the holidays.

Ever since she left they talked every day whenever they were both free. He would tell her about his day and she would tell him about her day, leaving a few details out of course.

He didn't need to know how much of a mess she was.

~TWO MONTHS LATER~

After the holidays Skye went back to New York and told her roommate everything she did. It was amazing seeing her family again, especially Soda. She missed him the most out of everyone.

When she saw him for the first time after three months she tackled him into a hug and he picked her up like nothing and swung her around.

He showered her in kisses and they didn't let go of each other until they reached the house.

They all celebrated Christmas and New Years together and then Skye had to leave again so she could go back to College.

It was hard leaving her family behind again, but it's not like she had much of a choice.

Soda and Skye continued to talk everyday, it was now a daily thing and they never missed a day. They promised each other that they would do anything to make long distance work and that's what they were doing.

When she came back after the holidays things were starting to look up for her. She was now able to catch up with all her homework, she learned how to organize herself better and was able to stay on track.

Her teachers weren't too bad anymore and the homework was still hard but a little less stressful. Same with work, it was easier now that she didn't have too much to stress over.

She was officially happy.

She was in her dream school, in her dream city, and she had her dream boyfriend who was very supportive of everything that she was doing.

Her relationship with her mom was better and she had the best family she could ever ask for. Two years ago she would've never thought that she would be this far. But here she was, in New York, attending her dream college.

And it was all thanks to her boys that saved her. She would forever be grateful for them, they changed her life for the better and she loved them with all her heart.

And that's when she realized that, dreams really do come true.

And this is the end. Thank you all for reading this story and I hoped you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it! This is my longest book ever and I'm thankful for all the support that I've gotten on it! But don't fret, there will be a sequel which I don't know when that will be out but be on the lookout๐Ÿ‘€
