THE NEXT COUPLE of days Skye avoided Soda and the boys the best she could. Pony, Johnny, and Two-Bit tried talking to her at school but she ignored them every time.

She knew she shouldn't avoid them but she just couldn't face them right now, especially after what happened with Soda.

She didn't know what they thought or who they believed, all she knew was that she wasn't ready to talk yet.

Dallas had made it clear that he believed her and that he was on her side, so she knew that. But she just needed some time for herself to think things through and process everything.

She knows what she saw, she knows who Sandy is. She isn't going to let that go just because Soda loves her, if she really loved him then she wouldn't do things behind his back.

She was still pissed at Soda for freaking on her but she understood where he was coming from. Sandy was his first love, so of course he was going to deny it.

Soda is too lovestruck to see who Sandy really is, he's always seen her as this sweet, innocent, beautiful girl that he loved. And he was scared to lose her.

He didn't want to believe Skye.

He couldn't.

If he even thought about it for one second he knew that he'd start doubting everything he knew about Sandy.

He knew that if it was true, then he would lose Sandy completely and he didn't want that.

He loved her too much to let her go.

Which was why Skye stayed away.

She knew that he would go back to her no matter what, no matter how many times she broke his heart, he would always go back to her.

And Skye couldn't keep fighting him on it, no matter how many times Skye tried to protect him, she just couldn't keep trying. Not if he was going to keep going back.

There was just no point.

There was nothing left for her to do except watch Sandy break his heart over and over again, only for him to keep going back.

She hated how oblivious Soda was to it all, but he was too in love to see any of it.

After a week of avoiding the boys, they finally managed to get her to talk. They were basically holding her hostage, they tracked her down to the park on her way home and they surrounded her and refused to let her leave.

"Come on guys, I gotta get home!" Skye whined as she tried getting past Steve and Dallas, they both stepped in front of her and she sighed stepping back.

"Okay, okay fine! What do you guys want?" She asked them, getting frustrated.

"We want you to talk." Pony said.

"You've been avoiding us all week." Steve said and Skye looked away, "You're gonna have to talk to us at some point." Dallas said and Skye sighed.

"I know, I just can't right now, okay?" Skye said and they all shook their heads.

"No, not okay, you have to talk to us Skye, we know you're mad at Soda but you can't just ignore us because of one fight you had with Soda." Steve said.

"Yeah, ignore him, not us." Two-Bit said and Skye looked down, "It isn't that easy."

"Why not?"

"Because! You heard him, he doesn't believe me which means he doesn't trust me! He thinks that I'm lying just because I don't like Sandy, of course I don't like Sandy she's a manipulative bitch and he obviously doesn't see that!" Skye shouted.

"And don't you dare say because he loves her, I know that, alright? That's why he doesn't want to believe me, because he's scared that it'll turn out to be true, he's scared to lose her and I understand that,"

"But you all know that he can't keep going on like this, you all know how Sandy is, she's just going to keep hurting him and he's going to let her, because he loves her. If you guys really were his friends then you'd talk some sense into him." Skye said.

"What about you? Don't you want to talk to him?" Pony asked her and Skye shook her head.

"I'm done talking, I did my part, now it's your turn." Skye said as she walked past the guys, and this time they let her go.

They all looked at each other with knowing looks and nodded, they walked back to the Curtis home where they left Soda, who was taking a shower when they left.

When they got back he was in the living room already dressed, his hair was still freshly wet which meant he had just gotten out of the shower.

Soda looked up, "Where'd you guys go?"

"We went to see Skye."

Soda's face dropped and he looked down as he dried his hair with his towel, "Oh."

"You know she hasn't talked to us all week because of you?" Two-Bit said and Soda didn't look at him, "That's not my fault."

"Yes it is! You drove her away and now she doesn't want to see us!" Two-Bit shouted. If you couldn't tell, Two-Bit was furious with the current situation.

He missed his friends, he missed hanging out with Skye. And this little fight of theirs was getting on his nerves.

"Hey, I didn't drive her away! She's the one who accused Sandy of cheating on me!" Soda shouted back.

"Because she did!"

"No she didn't! You know, I really thought you guys would be on my side on this, you've known me a lot longer than Skye and you're taking her side instead of mine? Some friends you are." Soda scoffed.

"We are your friends, which is why we're telling you that Sandy is lying to you, Skye saw it with her own eyes. We know how much you love Sandy but she's just going to end up hurting you." Steve said.

"We just don't want to see you get hurt, Soda." Pony spoke up and Soda looked away and shook his head. "I'm not going to get hurt! I trust Sandy, I know Sandy, and I know that she wouldn't hurt me, Sandy's not like that," Soda defended.

"Well have you asked her?" Dallas asked Soda, "No." Soda responded.

"Ask her then, go talk to her and ask her, see what she tells you." Dallas said and Soda nodded.

"You know maybe I will, and then maybe you guys will realize how wrong you were." Soda threw his towel onto the couch and he shoved past the boys and stormed out of the house.

The boys stayed quiet looking down.

"This isn't going to end well, is it?" Pony asked and the boys shook their heads.

"No, it isn't."

They're right, this isn't going to end well. But it will get better, next chapter's gonna be a little sad and a little cute, you know a little bit of both so yeah:)
