Neveah sat on her bed doing homework while she heard laughter coming from downstairs.

It wasn't new, she was used to it so she just got up and went to go get her speaker.

She got her speaker then connected her phone and went right back to her laptop.

She didn't go to regular school because she isn't... regular.

Her stomach growled making her groan.

"Why noww." She whined then cut her speaker off and slip on her black fur slides.

Walking downstairs she heard the laughter getting louder making her mentally groan.

She hates loud noises.

When she got to the kitchen, where everybody was, the laughter stopped making her roll her eyes.

She looked on the stove to see the pots empty.

She turned around and looked at her family.

"Really? Y'all didn't save me no food?" Her voice came out calm but stern.

"I'm sorry baby, I didn't know you were hungry." Leslie, her mom said looking at her while her sister, Sevyn, chuckled.

"It's fine." Neveah walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

She grabbed her phone, keys, and purse and headed out the house without saying a word.

They always did this, it's like the don't give a fuck about her.

She got into the car and connected her phone to the Bluetooth.

She bought her car last year.

She had her own money because she didn't wanna depend on her parents. On the other hand Sevyn rely on their parents for everything. Money, a house, a car and they give it to her.. freely.. but anything I ask for I have to beg and it would still be a no.

Shaking her head she cut on some music and pulled out of the driveway.

Neveah parked her car and got out.

She opened the door to Chick-Fil-A and walked up to the line.

The worker came up to the register with a bright smile.

"Hi, welcome to Chick-Fil-A, what would you like to order?" She said all cheerful.

Veah smiled back at her.

"Can I have a number 1 with a sprite please." Neveah told her order.

"Uhh yeah, 7.36." She told Veah her total making her give her the money.

"Okay, you're order number 56. You can wait right there or sit down." She told her handing her, her receipt.

Veah smiled and turned around to go sit only to fall back.

"Yo, watch where you going dumbass." A boy with some freeformed dreads said walking over her.

"Sorry." She mumbled then got up and walked to a seat.

After 15 minutes, the worker called Neveah's order making her get up and her her food.

"Have a good day." The worker told her with a smile making her return it.

"You too."
