"You never told me where we were going- am I dressed fine?" I asked as he opened his car door for me. He showed up half an hour early so it was seven-thirty. "You look beautiful, Rai, and it's a place you don't know." he said pushing on my lower waist so I would get in. He smiled down at me before closing my door and walking to his. It is just a dinner. I shouldn't feel guilty. Tae and I weren't even together.

"Don't forget you had a question to ask me." I reminded him as he closed his door. He let out a laugh and turned on the engine. "Trust me, I won't." We sat in a comfortable silence until he pulled up to this mini restaurant. It wasn't too far, maybe took us half an hour to get there. It looked more like a cottage. Black wood for walls with small lights surrounding the entrance, and a glass roof. "What is this place?" I questioned unbuckling my belt.

"It's better from the inside." he told me.

We got out and he grabbed my hand making me look up at him. His fingers dipped between the gaps of mine and held my hand firmly. It felt nice. His hands were warm and soft unlike my cold ones. "It's my favourite place." he said walking me up the entrance. "How come this is my first time here then?" I asked him with furrowed brows."You never let me take you out."

We reached the door and a woman in all white suddenly opened it from the inside. "Welcome" she smiled. My eyes widened when I glanced behind her. "Pretty, huh." Ryan said pulling me in. "But not as pretty as you." He whispered, his nose brushing against my hair. Butterflies erupted in my lower stomach and my face flushed. "Your table is reserved." The kind woman said, leading us deeper into the restaurant. I cleared my throat when I felt his fingers brush on my hip.

"I wish I said yes to all those times you asked me." I told him. "Don't regret it, Rai. I'll bring you here more if you let me." he smiled.

What? Did my heart just...flutter?

"What do you order?" I asked as we sat down. I looked up at him for a reply but he looked tense. "Is everything okay?" I asked him. "You look-" he began and my eyes widened. I look what?

"I like my view." he suddenly smirked. He no longer looked tensed and instead had this mischievous look on his face. I playfully rolled my eyes and looked down at the menu. "Ryan?"

"Hm." He replied. "Does your work life have anything to do with your love life?" I questioned. "You seem-so romantic and gentle-"

"Gentle?" he interrupted as if I had offended him. "I'm only gentle for you, Rai." he mumbled, but I heard it. "Why- do you have a soft spot for me?" I teased with a smile.

He shrugged his shoulders and leant forward against the table. "Would you prefer me to be rough?"

I almost choked on air. There was no shame on his face as he stared deep into my soul. "R-rough?" I choked out. He raised his brow. "That is the opposite of gentle, isn't it?" he replied. I noticed his eyes darken as they studied my reactions. I probably looked like a red tomato right now.

"Y-yes, it is." I nervously laughed. "Why are you so red, Rai?" He whispered, brushing his ankle against mine. I clenched the table cloth and averted my gaze from him. "It's hot in here that is all." I said to him. "I don't feel it." He said, and my eyes flickered back to his which were on my mouth. "You're not flustered are you?"

I was about to speak when he beat me to it, "Relax, I'm just teasing you." he said before calling a waiter.

Tease!? No, that was sexually confusing me.

"Ryan!" I whined as we walked out of the restaurant. "You still haven't asked me." I practically cried out. He forced me to eat my whole dish before telling me what he wanted to ask. "I did as you told, now you listen to me!" I frowned. I looked up at him to see a smile on his face. "You're amused by my frustration!?" I exclaimed. "Is my Rai drunk?" he hummed making me pause from shock at his words. His Rai?

"Why so quiet?" he asked. I cleared my throat and released his hand. "I-I'm not drunk. It was just two glasses." I told him. "And mine." he added. I rolled my eyes. "Fine, three." I mumbled.

"Wait!" I said. "I think I forgot my purse inside." He looked down at me. "I'll get it-"

"No, I will, it's fine." I cut him off. He paused before nodding. "I'll wait in the car." I watched him walk to the car before turning back to the restaurant. The same woman opened the door for me but I rushed past her. How could I be so forgetful-

My eyes scanned our table and beneath the chairs but It wasn't there. It couldn't just disappear. Maybe I never brought it and left it in Ryan's car.

"You should be careful with things precious to you, Rai." His voice echoed in my ear making me freeze. I knew exactly who it was. How could I not recognise him.

I felt him lean closer so that his chest was brushing against my back. "Rai." His voice was so soft yet deep, and the way my name always rolled of only his tongue made me feel some type of way. I turned around to see Taehyung holding my small white purse.

"What are you doing here?" I asked but instantly regretted it. Just thank the man and leave! Don't make conversation-

"I own the place." he said like it was old news. "For now, of course. Your date wants to get his hands dirty and buy it off me." he smirked. "Dirty?" I repeated. "Why is buying your restaurant doing dirty business?" I questioned.

"Well, you said it yourself, darling. It is my restaurant." he responded and handed me my purse. "Your boyfriend must be waiting." he said with a raised brow. "He's not my-" Before I could even finish my sentence he raised his hand in my face and turned around. My face heated up in both embarrassment and shock. "Rai?" I looked up to see Ryan walking up to me.

"If you're done playing romantic with your girlfriend I would like to sell my restaurant." Taehyung said making Ryan halt midway. My brows furrowed. "You only came here to meet up with him?" I scoffed. "Rai, that isn't tr-"

"What would a doctor want with a restaurant? He has countless of shifts and-"

"My sweetheart, you can't be that oblivious." Taehyung said facing me. "He's not who you think he is." he scoffed. I looked over at Ryan to see him glaring at Taehyung. "Leave her out of this." Ryan said through gritted teeth. "She deserves to know who she is getting in bed with, no?" Taehyung said tightening his jaw. "Isn't that the truth Rai?" he questioned walking closer to me. "You're sleeping with him." he spat in disgust. But all I saw was jealousy.

"No." I whispered before pushing past the both of them and walking towards the exit. I couldn't help but pathetically wipe my tears. Did he really think I was just some whore who slept with any man I laid my eyes upon?! And what was he trying to reveal about Ryan!? Everything was so confusing. "Rai, wait!" I heard Ryan yell but I ignored him.

I walked past his car and headed towards the main street. "Rai." I heard him repeat but this time he was much closer. His hand wrapped around my elbow and spun me around. "I'm not going to wait- especially not for you." I spat. "What are you hiding from me, Ryan!? What are you so afraid of!?" I exclaimed.

He closed his eyes and ran his hand through his hair. "Taehyung and I used to be part of the same mob." he confessed.

"What?" I stared at him in disbelief. "Before we separated- before I left, we used to work together under the same man." he continued. "So you've killed people too." I whispered backing away from him. "Only bad people, Rai, but that doesn't change what I did and I know that." he said stepping closer to me. "You lied." I said shaking my head. "To me, to my father-" My vision became blurry as I tried to hold back my tears. "I'm still your Ryan." he said, reaching for my hand but I moved away from him.

"You're nothing but a liar!" I scoffed, clenching my hand. "Fuck, Rai." he breathed out in frustration. He suddenly grabbed my arms and pulled me into him. "If you had any feelings for me you'd give me a chance." he said tightening his grip on me. "I see the way you look at me, Rai. You want me just as a badly as I want you."

"You're a dick for trying to use my feelings against me." I grunted. "That's where you're wrong." he told me. "Just forgive me, Rai." he said before holding the side of my cheeks. My eyes widened and I knew what he was going to do. He then lowered his face, his mouth hovering just above mine. "Don't kiss me." I warned, but his eyes only darkened as he closed the gap.
