"So what's in this thing?" Tsuki tapped the long sword covered in clothing strapped to Homusubi's waist. They have already arrived at the village by 5 AM and were only a few minutes away from reaching the Amaterasu Cave.

"A sword." She rests her hand on top of it.

"From whom?"

"I don't know."

"Where'd you get it?"

"In our house."

"Eh???" He responds with a tone of disappointment while crossing his arms, "Why did you even take it with you, piggy?"

Homusubi flinched as her eyebrow twitched and she gave him a look, "Back with that nickname again?"

"Hm... it suits you well-" He shrugged but only received a slap to the arm as result. "Ow!!!" He exclaimed while rubbing that spot that immediately turned red.

Then, it only took her three seconds to grab him by the collar and shoved themselves behind a tree, away from the sight of a night shift guard. If they were to find out two kids going here alone, they'd immediately demand their parents to be called. Which means the failure of this mission. The guard stopped in the middle of the large entrance and yawned.

He didn't even see the two teenagers silently crouching to make their way to his blind spot and entered the cave.

"This is dangerous." Whispered Tsuki.

"Oh, you just realized?"

He rolls his eyes as they were further inside.

"HEY! YOU TWO!"

Or so they thought. They didn't notice the other guard idling inside the cave. The two guards inside and outside glared up at the intruders.

"This is off-limits!" The outside guard yelled.

"Quick! Over there!"

Homusubi took the lead in the escapade and barged through a door in one of the walls of this cave. Tsuki followed inside and slammed the door in front of the guards before they can get inside. He quickly locked the door then the guards pounded on this metal door, making him stumble back as he breathed uneasily. Looking up from the ground, his eyes widen when Homusubi just stood there as if she saw something...

"THAT PLACE IS STRICTLY NOT FOR TOURISTS TO ENTER! GET OUT YOU TWO PUNKS!"ย

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH ANYTHING YOU FIND INSIDE!"

When Tsuki stood up and dusted himself, he finally saw what Homusubi had been staring at. It was a dark passageway that goes deeper and darker. The only light here was the light coming from the small gaps of the door. A spine-chilling wind came from the cavern, making him rethink his decision in ever coming here.

"This must be it." She quietly said, unfazed by this eerie place.

Tsuki heaved a sigh and nudged her hand, "... Then, let's go."

Homusubi nods then held up her hand and created a fire for them as light. They went deep inside the place, straying further away from the yells of the guards. They needed to find the place they're looking for quickly or else it'll be over once the guards catch them. Tsuki felt uneasy and unconsciously stuck beside his friend, looking around at the place.

There were dusty particles in the air, some other insects running away when the light touches them, and then what bothers him the most was the unbreakable silence.

"W-What the fuck is that?!" Tsuki stepped in to protect her as he barely saw something moving in the dark.

Homusubi moves her fire towards its direction, "Relax, it's just a lizard."

"O-Oh..." He lowers his hand as his face lits up in colour read while she passes by.

Seeing her from behind after all this time made him gasp in shock, "P-P-Piggy..."

"What?" She asked while looking at him over her shoulder.

"T-T-The sword-- your sword!"

Homusubi lifted her arm to peek over it and the wind was knocked out of her. It was glowing through the clothing. She quickly made the fire on her hand float in mid-air as she knees down and took her sword to examine it. Tsuki quickly grabbed her wrist to stop her.

"What are you doing?! It might be dangerous!"

"We're already in a place that's dangerous."

She continued and pulled out the mighty sword that glowed in the dark. They did not notice it before. The sword took his breath away, seeing it for the first time felt like it came out of a dream.

"We're near..."

Tsuki looked up at her and blinked a few times, "Pardon?"

"It's never glowed this brightly before. It might be connected to the place."

"WHAT PLACE?!" He yelled.

"... I don't know. But..." She stood up again, glancing at the side, "You don't have to come with if you don't want to."

He flinched. Being hit again with the reality of consequences if she's going there alone. Without knowing anything about what will happen in the future. The unknown truly is humanity's worst enemy.

Tsuki grits his teeth, "Come on. I want to get this over with."

It felt like hours as they continued to walk, and the sword grew bright and brighter. It must've meant that they were getting closer. As they took one more step, the glowing weapon in her hand starts to blink and then... they reached a dead end. With haste, they looked at each other, eyes asking if they did something wrong.

"Wait..." He furrowed his eyebrows, "Don't tell me the cave is back outside...?"

"Then what's this place?"

"I don't know, damn it! We wasted all the time to--"

"Shh!"

She pushed a finger against his lips as she held her head down with her ears perked up.

"What?" He muttered.

"Do you hear that?"

"H-Hear what?"

She began to kneel while staring at a line on the ground and then gestured her hand that he should too. He heaves a sigh and went down to stick his ear against the ground. His eyes widen in shock, "What's that?"

It sounded like there was a whole city underneath them.

"Move away."

"What?"

Once he looked up, he saw nothing but the blinking sword in the air. He squeaked then threw himself to the side and rolls against the ground. Homusubi took in a deep breath and plunged the sword into the ground like it was made of clay. The word grew brightly and cracks that shimmer in red spreads across the ground and reached the walls and ceiling. In a heartbeat, Tsuki called her name while reaching for her as the ground breaks into pieces and they fell into a bright hole.

"HOMUSUBI!" He yelled in worry as they continued to fall in mid-air. What surrounded them were hot and sizzling molten rocks... lava.

"The sword!" She pointed down below them, were a few meters away was the sword. Tsuki tisked and dived down in the air, reaching out for the sword to grab it.

"I got it--" He was cut off once he looked below them and saw that the walls of lava end here and there was a red portal right at the end of it. She held him tightly against her, covering themselves in a coat of fire for protection as they were sucked into it.

They crashed into a stack of wooden boxes, creating clouds of dust around them. Tsuki accidentally lets go of the sword and it slid away from them, out of the ally they were in. Homusubi gasped and quickly ran for it, catching it in her hand. A boot slams down and squeezed her hand against the ground.

She groans in pain, her body was steaming from the recent experience. Looking up, she stopped breathing when a man in a firey and knightly appearance loomed over her. Tsuki groans as he crashed his body against the mans' body. He grabbed her arms and pulled her into the alleys.

"Oh no!--"

"Forget about the damn sword!" He barked, "We're in the enemys' territory now."

They managed to escape from the sight of that knight. The knight whose very appearance screamed danger at them. So the two didn't stop running and running with Tsuki leading for them. When he turns around the corner, he didn't expect he'd lose his footing.

Literally. The ground was nowhere to be seen and his heart stopped.

Homusubi swiftly reached out and pulled him back in his arms, keeping him away from death's door. He breathed heavily as sweat trickled down his face. The large place was hot in the first place, and when he looked up, the sky couldn't be seen as steam covered it. She stood up from the ground, grabbing onto the corner as she had a view of the entire place.

"We've entered the place... but... how can we get out of here?" He looked at her in horror, about to have a mental breakdown any moment. Homusubi was the same, but she knows she had to keep her cool for herself and him too.

"I don't know-"

"JUST WHAT is your goal here?" Tsuki inquired, begging to have an answer to this question other than another 'I don't know.'

"The man who's hurt me and others is the leader here." She turns her head and glared at the tallest tower of the place, "If he's a leader, then he should be somewhere high in that building--"

"IF HE'S A LEADER THEN WE WON'T BE ABLE TO DEFEAT HIM!"

"That's what I decided days before I arrived here."

"Do you think people will be happy with-with what you're about to do?!"

"Yes."

"Your father?!"

"... Yes."

"Your mother?"

"Yes..."

"Geez... what about Phoenix?"

Homusubi looked up at him in confusion, "How do you know that name...? I never mentioned it to you..."

He was caught off guard and quickly shook his head, "I-It was a guess... Homusubi, it's not what you think!-- I can explain!"

"Tsuki..." Unfortunately, she was starting to lose hope. Her heart was growing distant from him as he denies that he's not a traitor. Making excuses that she did tell him about it. Insisted that he's a friend.

The wind behind him suddenly felt cold. His heart skilled a beat as a female knight sets a hand on his shoulder.

Both of them grew were at a loss of words as the visitor speaks with fog coming out of the helmets' mouth.
