*1 week later*

Lately I've been paranoid as hell and  Deyvonte is barely at his house it's like he's avoiding me which doesn't make sense cause he's the one that brung me hear.

Then there's Kings bipolar ass one minute he nice and the next he act like I'm some stranger off the streets.

I mean I kinda am but that's not the point

Then there's khaliyah I haven't seen her since I got here.I told dey I can watch her but he always says no.

It's like he doesn't trust me,but then again he let me live in his house so that wouldn't make sense.

I heard the door opening snapping me outta my thought and looking to see and it was Deyvonte and King.

I was in the living room watching this show called little fires everywhere on Hulu,(that show good asf anyways back to the story).

I just turned looking back at the tv when they are here the pay me little to no attention so I just do the same.

They sat down Beside me "ain't yo lil ass supposed to be back at school why are you here?"king asked.As he lit his blunt bringing it to his lip and takin a hit of it blowing it in my face.

I just looked at him and rolled my eyes"I am going I was waiting on y'all I ain't finna walk".

"So who taken you cause I ain't"Dey said keep his eyes on his phone.

"Why not"I asked frowning.

"You got two legs and two feet so therefore you can walk"king said.

"But I don't want to walk"I say getting annoyed.

"Well yo ass better crawl cause I ain't takin you"King said walkin to the kitchen.

"Fuck y'all then"I mumbled then called Makenzie.

Makenzie:Hey boo

Me:Hey Kenzie can u come pick me up

Makenzie:yeah

Me:Ight ima send you the address

Makenzie:Ight talk to you later

Me:Ight bye

I got up and showered and did my morning routine then put on some red and white adidas joggers with my white and red adidas shirt and my all white forces.Then I put my hair in a bun and grabbed my backpack.

I walked into the living room and King and Dey were sitting on the couch.I just rolled my eyes then I heard a honk knowing it was Makenzie I walked to the door.

"Who is picking you up?"Dey asked.

"Don't worry about it"I said walking out the door and to Makenzie car...

Deyvonte POV

"Why you still got that lil ass girl here "king asked passing me the blunt.

"Cause she need to stay close I told you she got what's comin for her"I said before hitting the blunt and passing it to him.

"What's all this for anyways I mean if she as bad as you make her seem why would you keep her in your house where yo sister lay her head"King asked.

"Right thats why she stayin with my friend until I get her handled."I say.

"Ight and why you doin all this"

"Cause her and her stupid crackhead ass momma fucked up my life and I'm just simply returning the favor but the thing is it's gonna be ten time worse"I said.

"Why you ass keep avoiding my question you want me to help u but I ain't helpin you until you tell me why"

"Ight fine damn it all started a year ago....

*flashback*

We were walking to school together just like any other day but today was the day that changed there life.

"So Mariah what you trynna do today after school?"Dey asked.

"Hmm I don't know but come here"Mariah said walking up to someone's house.

"Why?"

"Just come on"she walked over to the door and banged on it and started running.

Then he looked at the door and started running too.You could here the door opening and he turned back to see an old man running over to them with a bat.

"If you don't take yo old ass back to yo house before you fall cause I ain't helpin you so you better have life alert"Dey yelled back still running.

Then he saw Mariah dramatically fall to the ground "ahhh I've fallen and I can't get up head ass"

"Bro come on stop playin for he come and beat yo with a bat cause I ain't helpin you"I looked back at the man he was on the floor I'm not really sure if he dead or not but I'm not about see so seems like a personal problem.

"Let me get on your back"she said.

I bent down and she got on"damn yo big ass"I joked.

She smacked me in my head"Deyvonte don't play with me"

"See nah ima drop you"I said letting her go.

"If I go down you finna come with me"as she said that her grip tightened on my neck and we fell back.

"Owwww my back,get off me you oversized hippo".

"I am not the heavy stop playin with me"I said getting up"now come on before we late for school".

She got up and we continued to walk school.

They stayed silent for a while before Mariah spoke"dey promise me you'll never switch up on me and that will always be friends no matter what".

Dey just looked at her confused"just promise"Mariah said.

"I promise"he said smiling.

"Oh almost forgot"Mariah got a rectangular box out her backpack with a ribbon on it and handed it to dey"happy birthday."she said with a big smile on her face.

He smiled taking the box and opening it inside was a gold chain with a basketball pendent and another chain with a retro 11 shoe pendent and on the back had there initials.

"Thanks Mariah"he said smiling giving Mariah a hug "no problem let me put it on you"he handed her the chain and she grabbed the chain and put it on and he did the same with her's.

They talked until they arrived to school and they went there separate ways but after that day nothin was going to be the same....
