It's said that every action has its own reaction. Of course, that includes school fights between friends.

Just a few hours after their fight in the Transfiguration courtyard, Barty and Regulus started getting chased down by some professors.

The professors asked to hear both of their sides of the story, but basically ignored both and punished the two boys equally anyways.

The boys received two days of after-school detention, plus an extra day for running away and hiding afterwards.

Ophelia, as usual, tried to defend her friends. Or rather, just tried to defend Regulus this time. As soon as Professor Dumbledore interrupted their class and asked to pull Barty and Regulus out of class, Ophelia went running out to chase them.

Once Dumbledore and the boys arrived at the Detention Chambers, Ophelia soon followed. She asked to speak to Professor Dumbledore privately and begged him to let Regulus go. She repeatedly tried to explain that Regulus was defending her, and that he doesn't deserve any more punishment than a simple warning.

Her pleads were ignored, of course, and the professor would not budge with their punishments. Headmaster Dumbledore advised her to leave the Detention Chambers and perhaps even stay away from the boys for a few days.

With her head down and a frown on her face, Ophelia headed out of the room. Though she was stubborn and driven, the girl was no rock. She knew there had to be a point where she had to give up, and that she needs to pick her battles.

The door closed behind her, and she decided to wait on a bench outside, even though she knew it could be hours.ย

After ten minutes, the period ended and the halls began to fill with students. Ophelia's friend, Thomas, the Gryffindor boy, walked up to Ophelis sitting on the detention bench.ย

"Waiting for your punishment?" Thomas asked her.ย

"No." Ophelia told him. "Waiting for Regulus."

"Ah, just as painful." He said.ย

"Not painful. It's what I do."

Ophelia scooted over, leaving a seat for Thomas to sit; an opprotunity which he quickly seized.ย

"It does seem to be an everyday occurrence." He pointed out.ย

"Because the professors at this school are ridiculous." She rolled her eyes. "All Regulus did was put Barty in his place. He was in the right."

"Completely in the right?"

"Yes."

An idea struck Ophelia, and she knew what she had to do. She quietly excused herself, and started making her way down to the Transfiguration Courtyard.ย

The courtyard was still messy with blood and dirt, and students kept walking through, but that was perfect for what Ophelia had planned.ย

She grabbed a handful of mud, which was made when dirt was kicked up during the fight, and walked over to the wall closest to the school. She reached up as high as she could and started using the mud to paint on the wall.

She started the large, brown lettering and had to refill her handful of mud multiple times until she could finish writing.ย

Students crowded around her, curious as to what she was doing. She didn't even notice anyone, though there were dozens of students from all houses and years.ย

Once she finished, she turned around and noticed everyone watching her. She wiped the remaining soil on one of the columns, and did a small bow before walking off in a huff.ย

The words stayed up as she walked away, and murmurs could be heard throughout the crowds of students. She had written "DEFEND THE INNOCENT" in enormous letters on the wall of the courtyard.

Before she could even get down the hallway, Ophelia was cornered by Minerva McGonagall, who was clearly called down to see what was happening in the courtyard.

"Miss Potter!" Professor McGonagall shouted as she chased after the girl.ย

"Professor McGonagall." Ophelia turned around and flashed an innocent smile. "What can I do for you?"

McGonagall did not seem amused in the slightest. "I do not have time for the innocence act. That little art project in the Transfiguration Courtyard is disgusting."

"I thought it was fun."

"You will clean it up right now. All by yourself." McGonagall instructed.ย

"Look, I know that the professors of this school wouldn't be familiar with the idea, but it takes one person to start a fight, and at least two to finish it. I'll need help."

"You will clean it up this instant."

"Two people. Or it doesn't get cleaned up." Ophelia stood firmly. "And that's going to start to smell, so you may want to make a decision soon."

"I will ask one student in detention to help you." McGonagall sighed.ย

"Regulus. You will ask Regulus. And then you let him out of detention."

Professor McGonagall turned around and started to head towards the Detention Chambers. "And here I was, believing you were the better Potter child." She said as she walked off.ย

"Don't worry, you're still right." Ophelia laughed.ย
