The students of Hogwarts often took advantage of the first few days back at school. With professors mostly paying attention to the first years and a few other new students each year, the rest of the school was mainly off the radar. 

The students who were most excited to take advantage of this week of leniency were the mischievous bunches. Every year had at least one. For year five, it was James Potter and his friends. For year three, it was Barty Crouch Jr., Regulus Black, and Ophelia Potter, by association.

The boys convinced Ophelia to skip class on the first day of school so they could all go down to Black Lake together while the weather was still nice. They also let her bring her best friend, Pandora, since she has been worming her way into their friend group since they all met. 

The four of them found themselves hanging out by the lake, with no particular goal in mind other than skipping class while they could. 

"Are we just going to sit by the shore and skip rocks all day?" Ophelia asked, still nervous about the fact that they weren't in Herbology class.

"We can do whatever we please, Lia. What would you like to do?"

Ophelia thought about it for a second, and came up with nothing other than to return to campus. 

"I don't know." She replied. "Maybe I'm fine with sitting here and skipping rocks."

"What if we just went skinny dipping?" Barty asked mischievously. 

"Yes!" Pandora said excitedly. "I've never done it with anyone else before!"

Pandora began taking off her robe and her jumper and tossing them at the trunk of a nearby tree, but was joined only by Barty. 

"I don't know." Ophelia said reluctantly. 

"You party pooper!" Barty shouted as he pulled off his shirt. 

"I just mean, like, we're already skipping class. Should we really be getting naked and swimming in the lake as well?" 

Pandora, who was already in the lake, splashed a bit of the water onto Ophelia's feet. 

"There's no one around." Pandora pointed out. 

"You don't have to get all the way naked". Regulus said. He whispered the word 'naked' the same way Ophelia did, teasing her. 

Ophelia was still reluctant, and stayed put on the grass beside the shore. 

"Do you want to leave your knickers on, then?" Pandora asked Ophelia as she swam out even farther into the lake.

Ophelia's eyes trailed off to Regulus for a moment, then quickly darted back to the lake when she saw him with his shirt off, about to take off his trousers.

"It doesn't even have to be full skinny dipping." Regulus said. "It's more, just, 'thin dipping'. I'll do it too."

"Alright." Ophelia shrugged.

Ophelia removed her mary janes and then tucked her socks into her shoes. She then pulled off her jumper, her skirt, and her shirt, and folded them neatly, wrapping them in her robe. 

As she undressed, she realised how glad she was that Euphemia had taken her shopping for pretties over the summer.

"There you go." Barty said as Ophelia walked towards the lake in her knickers, to which Regulus responded with a quick slap on Barty's arm.

"Don't be creepy." Regulus said, his tone reminding Ophelia of her father scolding James for sneaking around with the Cloak of Invisibility.

"Asking Barty to stop being creepy is like asking for the sky to stop being blue." Ophelia laughed. 

Ophelia walked into the lake, and felt the peer pressure lower as soon as everyone turned away. But, the thing that shocked Ophelia was that when they turned back to look at her again, her anxiety didn't come back. 

She felt comfortable. She was comfortable.
