Ophelia Potter was two years younger than her brother James. She was only a few months away from getting to go to Hogwarts with him, and that made her excited and nervous at the same time. Although the two weren't very similar in anything but looks, it's a lot when you're about to go to school with your brother, who happens to be the biggest troublemaker there.Β

Well, one of the biggest troublemakers. Regulus Black was in the same situation as Ophelia. An older brother at the school he was about to attend, and a legacy to protect. Sirius, who was also older than Regulus, was sorted into the Gryffindor house, and constantly opposing his family's beliefs. Regulus believed it was up to him to make his family proud and become the person his family wished Sirius could be.

Sirius and James became best friends the moment they met on the train to school when they were eleven. They had been great friends ever since, and now their siblings were about to meet for the first time.Β

"When we get there, I want the both of you to be on your best behaviour. Especially you, James. Do you understand?" Ophelia's mother, Euphemia, said.Β

"Yes, Mum." James and Ophelia said in unison.Β

"So, both of you will be polite when you introduce yourselves to Sirius' family, and then James and Sirius can go off and play. And Ophelia, you can go and play with Sirius' younger brother, Regulus." Euphemia instructed.Β

Everything James and Euphemia said about meeting the Blacks made Ophelia nervous. If things were to go the way her family said, Regulus would become one of Ophelia's first real friends ever. And the first boy she's ever been friends with.Β

"I would be cautious around him, Ophelia." James said. "Regulus has been a spoiled brat ever since Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor."

That just made Ophelia even more anxious. James had never really said anything about Regulus before. The fact that the first real thing she heard about him was negative made her stomach drop.Β

Euphemia pinched James' ear after he spoke.Β

"That's exactly what you shouldn'tΒ say when you get there." She pointed out.Β

The Potters walked up to twelve Grimmauld Place, the residence of the Black family, and prepared to knock on the front door.Β

"Alright, chins up, smiles on." Euphemia said as she quickly smoothed out some stray hairs on Ophelia's head.Β

Euphemia knocked on the front door of the house, putting on her best smile as she prepared for her family to meet the Blacks for the first time.Β

"Madam, the Potters are here." A muffled voice called out from inside the house a second after they knocked on the door.

The door opened promptly, and a house elf stood in the doorframe, gesturing for the family to come in.Β

"Welcome, you must be the Potter family." He said, then picked up a silver tea tray full of sweets from the table beside the door and turned to Ophelia Potter. "Would you like a sweet, Miss?"

"Yes, please." She said, taking a wrapped piece of red candy. "My name is Ophelia, what's yours?"

The elf seemed shocked that the girl had asked for his name. He isn't shown much kindness caring for the Black family. He hesitated before giving her an answer.

"My name is Kreacher. It's nice to meet you, Miss Ophelia."Β  Β

Ophelia found it funny that Kreacher referred to her as 'Miss Ophelia'. She let out a small giggle, but was interrupted by the sound of footsteps coming down the hall to the front door.Β

There were four people walking down the hall to see the Potters. Orion and Walburga Black, plus their sons, Sirius and Regulus walking behind them. The two sons looked extremely similar. They both had the same dark eyes and neat black hair.Β

"Welcome. I'm Walburga and this is Orion." The woman said. "And of course, our sons, Sirius and Regulus."

"Good afternoon, I'm Euphemia. My husband, Fleamont couldn't make it. He's tied up with work at the moment. But this is James, and this is Ophelia." She said, nudging her kids forward as she introduced them.Β

"Hello." The Potter children said.Β

Walburga walked towards the Potters and bent down slightly in front of the kids.Β

"Ophelia. Adorable." She said, eyeing James and Ophelia up and down.Β

She gave Ophelia an odd feeling. She felt Walburga was putting on an act, like she wasn't nearly as kind as she was putting on.

"The children are welcome to run off if they would like." Orion said.

Sirius and James seized the opportunity and immediately ran off, heading up the stairs, but Ophelia stayed beside her mother.Β

Before they got all the way upstairs, Sirius called down to Ophelia from the stairwell. "By the way, Ophelia, if Regulus annoys you too much, you can come hang out with us."

Ophelia tensed up again. More negative things about Regulus. She was getting more and more nervous to get to know him. Especially if they were set to be in school together for the next seven years.

"Go on, sweetheart, you and Regulus can go get to know each other." Euphemia said, gently pulling her daughter away from her side.Β

"There's tea in the kitchen." Orion said, gesturing for Euphemia to go with him and Walburga.Β

"Alright." Euphemia said, then she turned to Ophelia. "Have fun with Regulus."

The adults walked off to the kitchen, leaving Ophelia and Regulus alone in the foyer.Β

"I'm Regulus." The boy said, holding out his hand.Β

The girl reached out and shook his hand. "I'm Ophelia."

"Would you like to go up to my room?" Regulus asked.Β

"Sure." Ophelia said, following the boy up the stairs.Β
