CHAPTER FIVE

𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯, 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵, 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘶𝘱, 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘴

Yuji woke up to the sound of the bell ringing. He got up and stretched his back, hearing a loud crack that made him let out a noise in relief. He got his things and made his way to the gym for practice. He didn't really know if the captain approved of him but he wouldn't know if they did if he didn't approach them.

"BOKE! HINATA BOKE!" he heard as he made his way to the gym. His eyes laid to a loud duo. The black haired one was yelling at the orange haired one while the orange one argued back.

The two immediately noticed Yuji's presence.

"Uh, can you let me pass, please" Yuji asked politely.

"OH I KNOW YOU! YOU'RE THE ONE I-" Hinata quickly realised what he did to the boy infront of him and suddenly bowed repeatedly. Yuji smiled softly and patted the latter's head.

"It's fine, cutie. Just don't do it again." He winked, making the Hinata flustered. The black haired boy stared Yuji wide-eyed.

"I'm Hinata Shoyo. This is my rival, Kageyama Tobio. Please senpai, convince the captain to let us in. I- we promise to behave."
Hinata pleaded Yuji.

Yuji shook his head at Hinata."Sorry cutie, but I don't even know if I've been approved yet. I'll do what I can. I'm sure I'm not your senpai though, I'm only a first year." He said and made his way up the steps.

"JAPAN" yelled Kageyama.

Yuji's foot was caught in one of the steps, making him fall down and smack his face on the door. The two boys looked at the boy, who was face-first on the floor, in shock. Luckily, he didn't get a bruise and just had a red mark on his forehead.

"Sorry, but aren't you-"
"Matsumoto Yuji from the Japan team." Yuji cut him off as he got up and rubbed his forehead. He bowed at the two and smiled at Hinata and Kageyama. "I should really get going. Nice to meet you." He said and gave them a soft smile.

He got in the gym and greeted Daichi and the others.

"Hi! I'm Sugawara Koushi." The silver haired male smiled. Yuji looked at him in awe and then gay panicked. He wasn't used to seeing such beauty.

"S-SO CUTE!" Yuji yelled after he snapped out of his panic mode. He went to the male and hugged him.

"I MUST PROTECT!" He cried as he held Suga's head in his chest. Suga was still blinking in shock as Daichi and Tanaka tried to pry him away from the male.

After the chaotic event, Daichi called Yuji. "Please show us what you can do so we know what you can do." He told Yuji. Yuji nodded and went to get a ball. He did a powerful jump serve and set the corner of the line as a target. He looked back at the team to see them shook.

"Uh, I don't think I might show much without playing an actual game, Daichi-san." He said.

"Also, I have a question about Hinata and Kag-" He was cut-off by a shout from outside.

"CAPTAIN!" A shout was heard outside the gym. Daichi,Suga, Tanaka, and Yuji went to the door to see Kageyama and Hinata. "We challenge you to play with us. If we win, we get to be in the team." said Kageyama.

"And if you don't?" Daichi asked.

"We'll take any penalty."

"We actually have two more first years besides Yuji, who want to be in the club. Instead of challenging us, you're gonna be having a match against them. If you win, you get to join the club and be a setter. If you lose, you won't be setter and Hinata won't join." Daichi said.

"Tanaka, you'll be playing with these two. Matsumoto, you'll be playing with the other team." Daichi announced. Yuji nodded at the captain and went back in for practice.

"Bye everyone! Thank you for today!" Yuji bowed.

"Farewell, my friend!" said Tanaka, who looked at Yuji teary-eyed as he shook his hand. Yuji was at the same state. Surprisingly, he and Tanaka got along well. Maybe it was because Yuji appreciated Kiyoko's beauty but said that he didn't like her that way, easing Tanaka's worry about him flirting with his beloved Kiyoko-san.

"Bye Suga-san." said Yuji as he winked at the third year. Instead of being flustered, Suga laughed at Yuji's act. He was used to it already since the latter flirted with him all day. He waved at Yuji as Yuji made his way back home.

He made dinner, which for today, was pork tonkatsu and curry. After eating, he took a shower and did his skincare routine.

"Welcome back to my channel, so today I'm gonna show you my skincare routine." He said to no one in particular. He narrated his routine like he was filming a youtube video.

He went down to the his bed and layed there, scrolling through his phone and watching tiktok videos.

Yuji and Katashi didn't really have a relationship. They're close friends and fucked around alot, but they didn't really catch feelings. For them, it's like helping a bro out. Neither really cared about anything and they liked that they can be themselves when they were with eachother.

Yuji rolled over and hugged his pillow, eyes slowly closing as he fell asleep, thinking of how chaotic tomorrow will be.
