After shopping for hours, the girls were hungry so they went to Lemonade. They ordered their usual and sat down at an open booth.

"So how are you and Paxton?" Lily asks as she pops a cherry tomato in her mouth.

Carly shrugged. "Nothing much why?"

Lily looks at the girl. "Are you forgetting Eddie is best friends with him and he tells me everything."

"And what exactly did Eddie tell you."

"Oh please Carly. Are you just gonna deny the fact that you two are perfect for each other? You guys have been inseparable since the 3rd grade. Your parents love him. His parents love you. He's literally like the male version of you except failed history 3 times and have an incredibly hot body, but other than that." Lily stopped when she saw her friend not following her. "Carly. I love you. Eddie loves you. We want what's best for you. We both know you love Paxton has more than a friend."

"Who said I loved Paxton?" Carly asked. 

"You did."

"No I didn't." 

"Yeah you kinda did. Remember?" Carly shook her head so Lily continued. "You were drunk off your ass at Brady's party last summer. Eddie and I took care of you and you basically confessed to us you love Paxton more than as a friend." 

Carly sighed and was slightly embarrassed that she confessed something she didn't remember. At least it was to her best friend and cousin and not to some stranger. "I'm just scared you know. A lot and I mean a lot of girl's like Paxton and I just have this fear that if we do date, he'll cheat on me with someone far more interesting and prettier than me." 

Lily half-smiled. "i get it. But Eddie told me hasn't even kissed another girl since your weird friendship."

"Kissing or not. Seeing him flirt with another girl makes me jealous and I get this nasty feeling in me and I just don't like it."

"Understandable. I mean if it makes you feel any better, you're the hottest girl I know."

Carly rolled her eyes. "Gee that makes me feel so much better."

"Hey if I was a guy, I would so bang you." Lily said with no shame. 

"Can you please stop. You're making me lose my appetite." Carly said glaring at the girl.

"Stare all you want, I'm secure."

Carly groaned. "Can we go now?"

Lily nodded, standing up and grabbing her tray to throw away her trash. "C'mon we still have to hit up Nordstrom. They're having their Anniversary sale."
