Carly took a deep breath, opening her door to see the curly-haired boy outside her house. She closes the door behind her and takes a seat on the stairs, the boy following her move.

After a lot of thought and a quick 3 way phone call with her cousin and best friend, she decided it was best to talk to Paxton. She needed to know what happened these past few days.

"Hey." Paxton said.

"Hey."

"How are you?" Paxton asked, not sure how to approach what he wanted to tell the girl.Β

"I've been better."

Paxton nodded. "I'm sorry."

"Sure you are." Carly rolled her eyes.Β

"No I'm serious this time ok Carls. I know I fucked up. I know it was like wrong of me to lie to you. Like, it makes me upset, like thinking about it. I shouldn't have put you through that. I shouldn't have like lied to you."

Carly sighed. Paxton always had a tendency to say 'like' a lot when he's nervous. "So then why did you do it?"

Paxton sighed. "I thought it was better if you didn't find out."

"If I didn't find out? How do you think it makes me feel finding out from someone about your little photoshoot with her?"

"I'm sorry." Paxton repeated.Β

"No you're not." Carly argued.Β

"Yes I am Carls."

"How could I even trust you again when you lied to me about something that might be small for you but so big for me? Why didn't you just asked me?"

"Because you were busy." Paxton argued.

"I told you practice got cancelled."

"By then it was too late. I already asked her I couldn't have told her no or back out okay."

"Do you like her or something?" Carly suddenly asked.Β

"What? No." Paxton quickly said.Β

"Really. Could have fooled me."

Paxton sighed. He knew he fucked up but he was too prideful to do admit it. "What do I have to do to make it up to you?" Carly stayed silent. She didn't know what to say. She wanted to so badly forgive the boy and move on from it but she knew she couldn't. Was she being too dramatic about what happened? Maybe? She had to stay strong. She deserved better. She shouldn't have to even go through this. Suddenly Paxton puts his arm around the girl, pulling her closer. "Please forgive me baby. I promise I'll make it up to you."

Carly closed her eyes having an internal battle. What she was about to say was completely different from what her brain wanted her to say. "I forgive you."

Boy was Carly Tan in for another surprise the next day.
