"Ben your house is beautiful." Carly said to the boy. "I knew you were rich but I didn't think you were this rich." 

Ben chuckled. "Yeah sometimes I can't believe how big this house is. Would you like a drink?"

The girl was about to tell him the dumb rule her and Paxton agrreed to but Shira cut her off. "Babe, it's softball season. No drinking for our captain. But that doesn't mean that for me. C'mon." She says as she drags Ben away from the girl.

She still didn't understand how Ben could handle a girl like Shira. No offense to Shira but she was literally the girl version of Trent.

The girl said hi to a few people before making her way outside where she found her cousin, Lily, Marcus, and Trent but no Paxton.

This has been the longest she's ever gone without seeing and talking to him. He didn't even respond to her if he was going to the party. She ended up calling a Lyft because she was getting no responses from the boy. 

"Little C." They yelled.

"Hey guys."

"No drink?" Trent asks the girl.

"It's softball season Trent."

"So?"

"Do I need to spell it out for you?"

"Don't." Marcus says. "He won't even be able to keep up."

"Dude. I'm smart ok. Why else would Rylee ask me to tutor her in math?"

Carly laughed. "Tutor her in math? More like tutoring her in the art of love."

They all laughed. "Shut up." Trent says, feeling embarrassed. "Watch." Everyone looked at what he was looking at. "Any second now she's going to be drinking my ball juice."

"Ball juice?" Carly questioned.

"He put his balls in there." Eddie said, causing the girl to look at him confused. "Yeah makes no sense but that's Trent for you."

Carly saw that it was Fabiola who was getting the drink and wanted to tell her to not drink it only for Devi to run up to her and splash the punch all over her suit.

Carly did not like Devi at all. 

How many times has she messed with her's and Paxton's relationship? 

Or how she used the girl's name multiple times just to make her more popular? 

Or how she modeled for Becca''s clothing line, a photoshoot, the girl had no idea of? 

God just looking at the sophomore made the girl pissed off. 

And just like that Devi falls into the pool. What she didn't expect was to see her boyfriend come out of the crowd and help the girl out of the pool.

He was here all this time and didn't tell the girl?

The boy made eye contact with his girlfriend before turning his attention back to the soaked girl, leading her to his car.

Carly felt her heart drop. His boyfriend who she hasn't talked to all day was helping another girl. The girl felt embarassed as she felt stares in her direction. 

Her boyfriend was helping out another girl. He was Paxton Hall Yoshida. He didn't need to do things that made him look good. 

"Carly..." Lily starts to say.

"I need some vodka." Carly said and made her way inside the house to find a bottle of vodka.

"Carls. You don't drink when it's softball season." Lily says as her and Eddie follow the girl to the kitchen.

"That's Paxton's bullshit rule. Why should I have to follow it when he doesn't give a shit about me?" Carly shouted as she took a big gulp of the alcohol. 

"Cousin you know that's not true." Eddie tries to say.

"You don't have to defend him Eddie. You're supposed to be on my side."

Carly takes the bottle and leaves. "Carls. Carly. Wait." Lily tries to say.

She was mad at Paxton.

She was mad at her best friend.

She was mad at her cousin.

And she was mad at herself.
