"I'm not gonna do it in the morgue." Carly heard Devi yelled as both her and Paxton went into her room.

"Do what in the morgue?" Paxton asked.

"Uh... steal bones." Devi said.

"Yeah good call. You could, like, go to jail for that."

"And it's sounds gross." Carly added, handing the girl a drink.

"Thanks." Devi accepted the drink. "I'm De---."

"I know who you are Devi." Carly said to the girl causing her to nod. "Apparently you're all over Instagram."

"What do you mean?"

Paxton showed the girl his phone screen. "Yeah, everyone thinks you died."

Carly chuckled. "Could be worse."

"Let's take a pic. Let them know you're good."

Both Carly and Paxton leaned in towards the girl, Paxton taking a quick picture before sitting down on the bed. Carly still standing.

"Wait. You're posting that to your grid?" Devi asked the boy causing him to nod.

"Where else would he post it?" Carly questioned.

"As a temporary story?" Devi couldn't believe that a picture of her with Paxton and Carly was going on Paxton's Insta. Was she dreaming?

"Yeah. Tag yourself in it." Paxton gave the girl his phone. "Can I ask you? What were you thinking getting so close to that coyote?"

"This is gonna sound insane, but I thought it was my dead dad. Obviously it wasn't, because you know it bit me." Devi explained.

"Obviously." Carly said, trying really hard not to say something sarcastic and aggressive which she has a tendency to do. It wasn't her fault some people didn't understand her humor.Β

"I feel you." Paxton said.

"Wait, so you don't think I'm crazy?"

"No I think you're crazy, but in a good way." Paxton said, leaving Carly confused.

She felt like a third wheel right now.

What was going on between Paxton and this girl and why hasn't he mentioned anything to her?

Something fishy is going on around here, and it's not the poke Carly had hours ago.Β
