"Thank God!! Sweetheart can you hear me. Try to open your eyes slowly"

"Call the doctor immediately who treated her earlier when she fainted"

I heard voices inside the room but I was not able to open my eyes properly because of the heaviness in my head so after sometime with much difficulty I opened my eyes and found myself in a hospital room.

"Aru....you scared me so much" I heard trisha but before I could reply her or even sit properly on the bed I was engulfed in a hug by her while she was crying badly hugging me.

I wrapped my arms around her and looked from her shoulders to see shaurya wiping his tears quickly so that we couldn't notice it and when our eyes met I gestured him to join us in the hug for which he didn't wasted a second in hugging me from the other side.

We stayed in each other's arms for few minutes but when I felt difficulty in breathing due to their tight hugs I punched both of them lightly so that they can leave me and luckily they understood me instantly.

*Cough*

*Cough*

"Are you okay sweetheart? I am sorry" shaurya said patting my back and trisha passed a glass of water to me. I drank the water and when I felt sudden pain in my head, I touched my head to find out that my head was bandaged.

"Hey Arohi!! How are you feeling now?" a middle aged doctor came inside the room. I lightly smiled looking at her and greeted her as I was admitted to the same hospital where we worked all these days so practically she was my senior.

"I....I am okay" I told her and after running few tests on me and checking my vitals she left from the room. I sighed and rubbed my forehead while shaurya and trisha were still standing beside me though they were looking a bit sad.

"How did that happen? Why did they kidnapped you?" shaurya asked me after sometime and my eyes widened in realisation as all the incidents that happened few hours back came flashing inside my mind.

OH MY GOD!! REYANSH GOT SHOT PROTECTING ME!!

"Aru where are you going?" trisha and shaurya shouted simultaneously seeing me getting up from the bed hastily. I didn't replied to them and wiped my eyes to move ahead as tears were blurring my vision.

"Rey....reyansh got sh...shot!! I need to see him" I muttered to myself and before they could stop me I was out of the room searching for reyansh's room in the floor with trisha and shaurya following though I was grateful to them as they didn't stopped me to look for reyansh.

"Yash!" I turned to left corridor and called yash when I saw him sitting alone in front of a hospital room with his head down supported by his hands and anyone could clearly see how broken he was looking.

Why won't he afterall in one day only he got to know that his sister who he loved so much, betrayed them and then both his best friend and sister got shot?

When he saw me coming towards him, he stood up from his place rubbing his eyes to wipe tears and before I could say anything he hugged me muttering sorry few times on behalf of arpita.

"I am really sorry arohi" yash said hugging me and I lightly patted him on his back to calm him down as he was still crying.

Though I don't know much about yash and we haven't spoken a lot in a month but I know that reyansh and he shares a very good bond and most importantly instead of supporting his sister he always took my side as reyansh told me how yash scolded him when he first time ignored me.

"How is reyansh and in which room is he admitted?" I asked him immediately when we pulled away from hug and he gestured me towards a room in front of which we were standing.

"But arohi, doctor had asked me to not go inside or let anyone go inside the room to meet reyansh before he wakes up as it might disturb him and he needs proper rest after the minor surgery he went through" yash told me.

"Minor surgery? Who treated him? I need to meet that doctor to know proper condition of reyansh" I muttered to myself but I think everyone heard me because trisha and shaurya also came towards me while trisha grabbed my hand lightly so that I couldn't go further.

I was not going to meet reyansh inside his room because I know that he might be needing the rest right now and I want him to recover soon.

"Aru!! you wait here with yash and trishu I will meet that doctor regarding reyansh and will tell you everything because you also need rest so don't stress yourself" shaurya said and I nodded my head.

"Arohi I will tell you as soon as reyansh will wake up so till then you also go back to your room" yash told me but I shook my head while my gaze was still fixed on the door of the room inside which reyansh was admitted.

"No I will wait here only till reyansh wakes up and I am feeling okay now so don't worry" I told both yash and trisha who were looking at me with worried expression on their face.

"At least sit here otherwise you will get tired" trisha said and I nodded my head while sitting on the chair in front of reyansh's room and trisha and yash sat on either side of me.

"After surgery the doctor told me that reyansh was shot in the shoulder and luckily the bullet didn't caused any major injury so he will be recovered soon. She told me an hour ago that he is under the effect of sedatives so he will wake up after an hour or two and he might wake up anytime now" yash told us.

Please God!! Wake him up soon!! I am feeling very restless thinking about reyansh again and again.

I really regret not telling him how much I love him before though he was trying to ignore me but for my inner satisfaction I should have tried harder instead of waiting for him to talk to me.

When I saw his blood in my hands I felt like everything stopped around me and I could only see reyansh beside me bleeding. Though I am a doctor but then also I was not able to do anything to treat him when he got shot because of my panicked state.

When we were in village and reyansh shouted on me for going with hema without telling him, I told him to never leave his work behind or take decision hastily in a situation like this but then also today he did the same which resulted in him getting hurt.

I looked at my hands thinking about reyansh and then the memory came flashing in front of my eyes, when my hands were covered in reyansh's blood and I was crying for help not knowing what to do at that time.

I felt trisha wiping my cheeks and that's when I noticed that my tears were flowing from my eyes remembering the scenerio earlier. Yash passed me a water bottle and I drank muttering a thank you.

"Yash!! How is arpita? Sorry I...I was thinking of reyansh and completely forgot that she also got shot" I said a bit ashamed of myself as I was sitting here from 15 minutes and then also I didn't asked about arpita at all.

Though she did wrong to me but I don't know why but I wanted to ask about her also and I silently prayed for her well being too.

"No arohi! you don't have to say sorry....you are also hurt so don't take stress. Arpita is also fine and out of danger as told by her doctor because I haven't went to that side yet but she is admitted in the other side of the floor where some police officers are waiting for her to wake up so that they can start further investigation" yash told me and I narrowed my eyes in confusion hearing further investigation.

Other side of floor? Why did yash didn't go to meet her at all?

"What investigation?" trisha asked him and I understood that trisha and shaurya doesn't know much that happened there and the reason for it. Before yash could reply her, shaurya also joined us and told me about reyansh condition that he will wake up soon.

"How did you came to know that I was kidnapped and where are everyone else?" I asked trisha changing the topic because yash was looking nervous when trisha asked him about investigation as I already know that they might be investigate her about kapil and why she helped him?

"Ohh when we didn't found you at airport when it was time for the flight we got tensed and searched for you so after sometime we got to know about your kidnapping and injuries so after informing your parents we directly came here while everyone went back to Delhi as ordered by our parents" shaurya told me.

"Ayush uncle and Anshika aunty will also reach here soon as when we informed them they quickly booked tickets to come here as fast as possible" trisha said while I nodded my head.

"I didn't knew arpita would do something like that and now just because of her attitude and stubbornness she ruined her life and especially her career for which she worked hard" yash said and I looked at him completely understanding his point.

"Why? She was also kidnapped na? Why will it ruin everything for her?" Shaurya asked in confusion though from his expression I knew that he got some what idea of what we were going to reveal.

Yash sighed and told them everything in detail however I got shocked when he told us what punishments could arpita get for her act. Trisha and shaurya were fuming with anger till the time he finished telling them everything.

"Aru how could you ask about her well being when she clearly wanted to kill you?" trisha said a bit loudly making me flinch cause I still had a light headache but after muttering a sorry she sat down beside me, again asking me the same question normallly.

"I don't know and yes she wanted to kill me but then also I don't want her to die, if not for us then at least for the people who love her like yash. I don't want them to be punished with her, losing their family member or friend or someone they love" I said not meeting her gaze but trisha hugged me saying sorry to yash for behaving that way.

"I also don't want her to die or get hurt physically sweetheart but I hope she gets punished for the deeds she did by violating law and attempting to kill you" shaurya said and before I could say anything else yash placed his hand on my shoulder and blinked to assure me that it's okay.

Though I know that shaurya and trisha were correct but I don't wanted yash to get hurt listening all this as whatever she did but in the end she is his sister and he will definitely feel bad for her.

"Don't worry she will get punished for everything that she did as because of her, today arohi got so much bruised, reyansh got shot and few of our team members also got injured in firing so she will have to pay for all this" yash said with clenched teeth and shaurya smiled looking at him saying a thank you.

"No need to!! It's my duty and of course I have to protect arohi because now I don't trust arpita as if we set her free she might attack arohi again and I wouldn't want my best friend's girl to get hurt" yash said with a wink and first time in the day I smiled widely seeing yash behaving like his usual self.

I blushed thinking that and we all smiled looking at each other while I blushed harder in gaze of three pair of teasing eyes.

"Arohi on a serious note don't worry about me because I am happy that arpita is alive and fine now but she will have to get punished for her act so that she won't repeat something like this again in future" yash said looking at me and I nodded my head with a smile on my face seeing his honesty towards his job.

"Patient is up now" I heard the nurse who was inside the reyansh's room with him and we all quickly stood up from our place to go inside the room. She tried to say something but one glare from each one of us was enough for her to make way for us.

"Reyansh"

We all said in unison as soon as we entered inside the room and my eyes instantly teared up looking at reyansh who was sitting on the hospital bed resting his back on the headboard with bandages around his shoulder.

His expression was same as mine while we both were looking into each other's eyes without saying anything and it was like we both forgot that we were not alone in the room but I felt a slight push from the back and I turned back to see shaurya asking me to go towards reyansh.

I started taking slow steps towards reyansh but stopped when I heard the door getting closed and I turned around to find out that I was the only one standing inside the room.

I was getting nervous because reyansh hadn't spoken anything to me or more like turned his face to the other side when I stood at the edge of the bed to talk to him, making my tears flow more than they already were.

Is he angry with me? But why?

What did I do?

Is he still ignoring me? I mean before today's incident he was ignoring me from past few days!!

"Rey.....reyansh! Ho...how are you fe....feeling?" I called him but when he didn't replied me not even turned to look at me, a sob left my mouth which gained me his attention and he looked at me sadly with tear on the brim of his eyes.

"Why are you angry with me reyan? Did I do something wrong if yes I am really sorry but please don't ignore me like you were doing from past few days. It really hurts me and I don't even know the reas.....Ahhh" I wiped my eyes and said looking at reyansh but before I could complete my sentence he pulled me towards himself and I fell on his lap.

"Shh.....I am not angry with you and you didn't do anything wrong. About the reason it is not related to you but it's me. I care for you arohi and I couldn't see you getting hurt. What if today I wouldn't be able to save you from that bullet in time? It would have hit you and I don't even want to think about it's aftermath" Reyansh said tightening his hold on my waist when I tried to get up from his lap.

"Please let me speak first!! I know I did wrong by ignoring you from few days and even right now but arohi if you wouldn't have met me in the first place then your life wouldn't have been at risk today. Arohi I also don't want to stay away from you but if you will be with me then it may happen again which I don't want and tha..." reyansh was saying and I knew where this conversation was going so I cut him off by placing my forefinger on his lips.

"Whether I want to be with you risking my life or not is my decision not yours so don't give me this excuse and as you said you don't want to stay away from me then don't because I will not let you, till you give me a valid reason for us to stay away from each other" I told reyansh and his lips slightly curved up into a smile making me smile with him.

"I wanted to tell you this sooner but you were busy in ignoring me so I didn't got time to say this but believe me I love you so much my Mr. Handsome police officer that whatever reason you will give me but I will not let you go easily because you are mine now" I told reyansh and his widened hearing my confession as he pulled me more closer to him.

Please don't reject me or break my heart!! Please! Please! I really love you reyansh!!

Though I seemed very calm and confident from outside but from inside I was freaking out and though I know that he likes me but before saying I like you like people usually do, I just confessed my love to him and now I don't have any other option then to pray to God that he doesn't reject me.

"Wh....what I mean really? Do you really lo...love me?" he asked me in a shocked voice and I nodded my head suddenly feeling shy as all my confidence flew away from me. He tightened his hold on me settling me more comfortably on his lap.

"Let me sit there otherwise I might hurt you" I said and tried to move away from him but he didn't let me by tightening his hold on my waist. He pulled me more closer to him and cupped my face to look directly into my eyes.

"You can never hurt me arohi! and don't shy away from me because for your kind information I am also madly and deeply in love with you my Ms. ladaku and will not let you go now even if you will ask me to. I am really sorry for ignoring you and I promise I will never do that again" reyansh said rubbing his nose with mine making me giggle and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"So will you be my girlfriend Arohi Sharma urf my Ms. ladaku?" reyansh asked with a mischievous glint and I acted as if I am thinking making him groan in annoyance but at last after sometime I replied him in positive making him smile widely.

He looked into my eyes and I don't know who moved first but in a second I felt our lips moving over each others in sync. He tilted my face a bit and deepened our kiss making me moan but we broke apart when heard the door opening.

"Arohi!!"

"Reyansh!!"

We heard our parents calling our names standing at the door with wide eyes and mouth open while I quickly got up from reyansh's lap and he started coughing loudly feeling embarassed. Behind our parents, our friends were standing with shocked and embarassed face.

Everyone's attention was on us but anyone hadn't said a single word to start the conversation making the situation more awkward.

Thankfully reyansh's brother came inside the room and everyone's attention went to him when he shouted looking at me making me more embarassed than I already was.

"Ladaku bhabhi?"
