Dess rolled her eyes. She locked her phone and turned it upside down on the desk. She was currently sitting in the study room waiting for Noah to come. He had asked for her help reviewing his test that they recently took in their Sports Management class. Surprisingly, their professor was allowing retakes since everyone in the class failed. Even Dess.

She didn't mind helping out a classmate. The only issue was that who she was helping was apart of the bullying that took place a month ago. Dess was over the situation since it was childish to begin with. She made her amends with Noah in class a couple weeks ago. He apologized for not stepping in to correct his friends, and making a unnecessary and undeserved scene. Dess accepted his apology since she didn't hold grudges. She refused to when life was too short for that.

However, Shai held grudges. He held them tightly with both hands. His knuckles turning red from how hard he was holding on. When learning that Dess was going to help Noah, he didn't think that was a good idea. He wanted to attend this study group but Dess stopped him from doing so. She needed him to know that everything was fine and dandy. She was over it.

Dess glanced at her watch for the time. She looked around to see if she saw Noah anywhere. Seconds later, Noah strolled through the double doors looking more exhausted than ever. Football has always tired him out but it was now about to take him out for good. Playoffs was around the corner and he was ready for the sport to be over. He slowly made his way to the table Dess was sitting at.

"Sorry for being late." He apologized, slamming his bag on the table. It made a loud noise, making Dess jump a little.

"Sorry." Noah apologized, plopping in the seat.

"It's okay." She replied, moving his bookbag from in front of her. She pulled out her books, placing them in front of her. All Noah took out was his crumpled text paper. He tried smoothing it out but the paper fell right back in its crumpled position. He was going to leave it.

"So, what did you get on the test?" Dess asked, opening her book to the right lesson.

"A fifteen percent." Noah answered nonchalantly. Dess look up quickly then down at his paper. At the top right in red pen was the number fifteen with a percentage sign beside it.

Her fifty-eight percent felt like a hundred compared to his fifteen. "Wow," was all Dess could say.

Noah tucked in his lips, nodding his head. "Yup. I passed the examination though." He mentioned.

"Oh, I didn't do good on that examination. My time was fifteen minutes which is bizarre." She told him, moving her test paper out off her book.

"You should wrap diagonally the first time then fill in the spaces the second time around. That'll decrease your time a significant amount." He helped her out. That was how he passed that part of the test at least.

"That'll explain how some of y'all finished in five minutes." Dess mentioned, understanding where she had went wrong. She was going to use that to her advantage on Monday.

"Okay, before we start can I just point out that I'm not the best at learning. It takes me a minute to understand and comprehend." Noah made known before they started anything. He didn't want her to think he was stupid, he just had a few issues going on with him.

"Learning disability?" Dess questioned, Noah nodding his head.

"Yeah. Visual processing disorder...difficulty with making sense of information through the eyes." He explained to her. "So, bare with me please."

"Calm down, I'll take my time. Let's start with the first question you got wrong." Dess said.

"That's the very first question."

"Jesus." Dess bluntly said. When she realized how disrespectful that may have been, she tucked in her lips. "Sorry."

Noah shook his head, not feeling a certain type of way about the comment. "No need to apologize. It's understandable."

Dess nodded her head, "Right, so let's get this started. The first question is about the different types of prices such as competitive, optimum, excessive, and exchange. Before answering you have to know what these four are. So, let's define these first and foremost to get a better understanding." she spoke slowly for him, turning her book towards him.

Noah leaned forward to look at the word bank that Dess was pointing at.

"Competitive prices..."

Dess fixed her hair in the mirror, humming along to the song that was being played. Since there was nothing to do around campus besides study, hang in the lounge or your dorm, Dess found a party a few people were boasting about on social media. She asked for the details and was now here with Ashley and Freya. Dess wanted to have a good time, so she wasn't going to allow anything to stop that.

A knock came from the bathroom door, startling Dess. She heard Freya's voice on the other end telling her hurry up. Dess finished redoing her hair then opened the bathroom door to Freya and Ashley.

"Damn, girl. It doesn't take that long to pee." Freya remarked.

"Freya, we will not do this tonight. I wanna have fun, so let's do just that." Dess made known to her friend regarding her attitude. That was all she was going to mention about it during this night.

Ashley snickered at the shutdown. She wanted to do a loud applaud for Dess but didn't have the energy to deal with Freya. She'll mention it later when she was alone with Dess.

"Aight, fine. I want another drink, so let's go." Freya mentioned. She was the first to start walking down the hall, heading back downstair.

Dess and Ashley held hands, following behind her. "Good job sticking up to her ass." Ashley muttered to her, Dess smirked at the comment.

She knew it was best to not say anything back because she didn't want any drama. She was determined to have a good night. They entered the kitchen, Dess grabbed a red cup and filled it with the soda that was left. Ashley and Freya tended to the liquor along with a few others that was in the kitchen with them. Dess scooped out the scenery as she sipped her drink. Whoever party this was knew a lot of people since the house was packed. She only seen a few folks that attended the school but that didn't stop other Greeks from coming out.

She wondered why sororities and fraternities just stroll any and everywhere they went. It was unnecessary at times, especially in crowded areas like a house party. She minded her business though and enjoyed every single show they put on. As she continued looking around, she ended up seeing Shai and Axel. She tuck in her lips, looking away before he could see her. She tried to pretend he failed when Ashley started nudging her arm.

"Ya man is here!" Ashley exclaimed, Dess shaking her head. She was happy to see him but was still upset about his behavior earlier. She going to get over it in a matter or two seconds. Dess continued to pretend like she didn't see Shai as they approached.

Axel was instantly pulled by Freya into a kiss. Ashley humming to herself, sipping her drink and minding her business. She didn't have anything nice to say. She never did.

"Anyways, I'm going to go find someone to dance with. See ya!" Ashley gave Dess a smirk knowing she didn't want to be alone.

"Ashley..." Dess sternly said her name, giving her a look to not leave her. Ashley didn't care though and started backing her way out of the kitchen.

"I'm gonna go dancing! You should show Shai how ya ass moves like water in jeans!" Ashley yelled, waving at Shai since he turned to look at her. Dess tuck in her lips soon as she disappeared. She turned towards Axel and Freya who's faces were still smushed together.

She was stuck now.

Shai poke her side, making Dess look in his direction. "You're ass move like water?" he repeated what Ashley said.

"Why do you care?" She remarked, crossing her arms.

"Just wanna know." He replied, looking her up and down. Dess caught his staring, butterflies filling her stomach. She rolled her eyes, groaning since he broke her.

"I can't stand you." She muttered, Shai smiling to himself.

"I didn't even do anything. I do know you better stop ignoring me and act right." He changed the subject, leaning on the counter beside her.

"Me act right?" Dess stood in front of him, pointing to herself. "You were the one who created an issue earlier over something stupid."

"I didn't create an issue though. All I said is that you're too nice which is the truth. You like niggas pass that don't deserve it." He corrected her, shrugging his shoulders.

"It was over with like I said. I can forgive people and move on, Shai. It wasn't serious." She told him, crossing her arms.

Shai nodded his head, "Okay, I respect that. It was just how I was feeling at the moment." he said.

"You're still too nice though. But, that doesn't ignore the fact that ya ass moves like water in jeans." Shai brought back up with a smirk. He couldn't get over it since Ashley mentioned it and was determined to see for himself.

Dess playfully rolled her eyes, "And do. God's greatest creation right here." She responded, turning around so he could see everything. Shai nodded his head, loving the sight.

"So, I gotta ask to be shown this or what?" he asked, licking over his hips.

"What happened to the quiet and innocent Shai? He's gone." Dess joked. The change in his demeanor surprised her but she loved it. The shy Shai was cute but this new open, fierce, and aggressive Shai was even better.

"He ended up meeting someone that's bringing him out of his shell and he's loving it." Shai answered truthfully, making Dess smile. With that answer, she figured she show him a little something.

"Come on." she said grabbing his hand and pulling him out the kitchen. They pushed past a few people to get to the middle.

Big Ole Freak by Megan Thee Stallion began playing. A perfect song for Dess. She bent down, placing her hands on her knees and twerked on him. Standing behind and taking in the mesmerizing sight, a huge smile grew on Shai's face.

Ashley was right...it did move like water.
