"Count me in." I told him.

"Wait, wait, wait, it was an idea Y/N-" he said while laughing.

"What, you saying I wouldn't make a good house mate? I promise I won't like light your house on fire. Save that for Tubbo." I said jokingly. Tommy laughed at my stupid joke which made me smile a bit.

"Let me ask MotherInnit." he said, walking out his door, leaving the phone in his bedroom. I saw his Alexa speaker on his window frame, so I wanted to test something. Tommy wasn't wearing any headphones and I'm pretty sure I was on speaker, so...

"Alexa, play We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel" I said loudly. A few seconds pass, and as soon as I think my attempt failed, she responded with "Here's We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel, on Amazon music." The song started playing, REALLY LOUDLY. I started cackling out loud. It was only shortly after when Tommy came rushing back up to his bedroom to find the source of the noise.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" he yelled as he burst in. I was wheezing so hard I sounded like Dream at that point. Tommy looked at his phone and saw me laughing my ass off.

"DID YOU DO THIS?!" he points at me and back at his Alexa, still blasting the music.

"NO- SOME, UH- DEMON! YES, THE DEMON OF TUBBO!" I said in a ghostly tone while giggling like a complete idiot.

Tommy smirked, and I could see he was willing to play along. "AAAAAAA, TUBBO DEMON, BEGONE OF MY ROOM YOU BEAST!" he picked up a Febreze can and spun around in circles spraying a shit load of spray. I couldn't help but burst into laughter. It didn't help the fact it was late in the night and that my entire family was still asleep, too. Just then, his mother walked in.

"What the hell are you doing up here, Tommy?" She asked, concerned. I was thinking Oh, shit you've waken her up, until I remembered they were five hours ahead of where I lived. It would have been 8:00 am there. Which meant that Tommy had just spent the last four and a half hours talking and playing minecraft with me. Something about this made me smile, for some reason. No, stop. Now wasn't the time for the butterflies to sprout.

I quickly stopped laughing and called out "Hi, Tommy's mom!" she looked over at Tommy's phone propped up against the window and saw her lips curve into a small smile.

"Oh, hello, Y/N! Always nice to see you. Tell me, how long has this boy been up, and why does his room smell like a perfume shop?"Β  she asked me.

Tommy looked back at me. "No, Y/N, don't tell her anything."

I ignored him and told her everything.

"He's been up for about four and a half hours ma'am, and he sprayed the can empty because of a demon he thought that had infested his room." I said as if I were giving a status report to a company's boss or something. His mother looked back at Tommy with an eyebrow raised. He gritted his teeth and looked back at me. He threw me that you're dead kinda look. I just giggled along.

"Tommy-" his mom started, until she was interrupted by Tommy.

"So! Uh- Y/N wants to move here." he said.

"WHAT?! It didn't say move to your house. I'm moving to the UK, and your house was an option. I hope you told her that." I said defensively.

"Wait, you're moving to the UK?" his mom said.

"Yeah, and we go to the same college and have a ton of classes together, it's crazy! She still needs to find a place to stay, and I offered our house, cause of our guest room, and cause of our classes, it's fine if you say no though-" Tommy explained.

"Nonsense! I would love Y/N to come and live here! That's a nice coincidence, isn't it? Might be destiny-"
his mom replied, stretching out the word destiny.

"Why do people keep saying that?" Tommy said quizzically.

"Wait here, I'll go downstairs to confer with your father. Y/N, what time do you arrive here?" his mom asked.

"About three or two weeks." I answered.

She disappeared out of the room through the door as Tommy turned to meet his face to his phone.

"Woman, I think you might be living with me. I'm sure there won't be much 'conferring' to be done." he said.

"I get to live with Big Man TommyInnit? Pog." I replied.

Tommy soon disappeared out of his room too, and I decided that that was my cue to browse Instagram while waiting for him to return. It took a couple of minutes, but he was soon back.

"Y/N, this is the last time in a while you'll be seeing me in 2D." he said as he came rushing back into his room.

"WAIT, THET AGREED? HANG ON, WHAT ABOUT MY PARENTS?!" I said unexpectedly.

"Just wake them up, tell them!"

"No! It's like 4:30 am here, dumbass."

"Ohhhh right. Still!"

"Look, I'll call you back once they wake up, mkay? Pray they say yes."

"Okay, I'll be praying to the twitch gods for you." he said, hanging up.

It seemed like forever until they woke up. They were both sitting at the coffee table sipping coffee, while I rushed down to tell them the plan. I took a deep breath, and recited everything I had to say and prepared every answer to every question how I had practiced in my bedroom.

"So, basically, turns out that the college I'm going to in the UK, is the same one Tommy is going to, you know, my best friend that I've had a crush on for like a year, and I know how difficult it's been for me to find a place nearby, and I know that you guys don't like the idea of dorms there, so me and Tommy were wondering if I could stay at his house, because turns out we also have most of the same classes, PLUS, he already asked his parents and they said yes. His house is about a fifteen minute walk from the college." I exhaled heavily, and stared back up at my parents. They had the most quizzical look on their faces.

"God, sometimes I wonder if this YouTube thing was a bad idea.." my dad said grumpily.

My mom nudged him in his side. "What your father is trying to say is, we will talk it over, and see if it's a good idea. I have his moms phone number, so I also need to confirm with her too."

Ugh. More talking and thinking. Just yes or no? I thought to myself, Nevertheless, I said "Okay", and hobbled back upstairs.

I unlocked my phone to text Tommy.

Bitch Boy Tommy 😈

I ASKED THEM

AND??

They're talking it over πŸ™„

Hey at least they didn't say no

True

I cant believe that I might actually live with you

My heart stopped for a second. Could he possibly also feel the way I feel about him? The way he worded it sounded so - sincere.

No, Y/N, goddamnit. Just, get back to your phone.

Bitch Boy Tommy 😈

I shut off my phone and decided to browse Netflix while waiting for my parents' final decision. I decided on One Day At A Time, some sitcom that had some relatively good reviews about.

I made it halfway into episode two when I heard a knock at my door. I paused the show, and saw both my parents standing at the doorway.

"So, Y/N, we've decided,"

"And we just want the best for you,"

Oh no. Here comes the rejection. 'He's a nice boy, but it's better if you live alone to focus on your education,' was something along the lines I was expecting. Except that's not what they said.

"We'll allow it."

I sprang out of my bed and hugged them both while thanking them.

"But you must focus on your education, promise?" my mom said looking at me.

"I promise." I answered back. As soon as they left, I pulled out my phone and called Tommy. He picked up almost immediately, as if waiting for the call.

"So? Woman? Verdict?" he asked quickly.

"Parents, confirmed. Living situation, confirmed. Living situation, your house. Hotel? Trivago." I said happily.

"WOOHOO! I knew they'd say yes, I'm too charming." he replied cheerfully, putting up his thumb and index finger and resting his chin on his index finger. I laughed at his goofiness.

I was too happy to be thinking about anything else. I didn't even think about whether this could grow our friendship into something more or break it down.

I guess only destiny can decide.

Perhaps another coincidence would occur.
