"What are you so jealous of? You never once told me you liked me"

I sat on the sand with Ao'nung, my hand placed on his thigh, in order to examine his red bruisedΒ  cheek, connecting to the lower side of his eye. "What on Pandora were you thinking? Stupid! Ao, you're completely stupid!" My ears retracted as I stared at him. "What even was that move he did with his hand?" Sighing I dip my finger in a pink like substance that relieves pain for injuries. "Whatever it was he got you good" He stopped my hand before even touching him. Gripping my wrist tightly I winced.

"Why were you with him the other night?" His jaw clenched tightly looking down at the sand. My brows furrowed feeling his grip tighten more. "With who-" He jerked me forward with both our faces close. "Neteyam."

"You mean when I left after I danced? All We did was talk" I lazily pulled my arm but he didn't budge." I don't want you near him"

"What are you talking about?Β  I'm not going to stop talking to him even if you tell me to, but you should. Being a bully to the siblings; they did nothing wrong, so why are you picking on them?" With such an expression on his face, his chest rose up. He scanned my face, noting how red it still was from the fight.

That appeared to be a trigger because Ao'nung hissed and stood up, walking to the water with his tail swaying back and forth. "Your an idiot trying to stop the fight" he said as he climbed aboard his Ilu. "I'm going hunting"

"I'm not done talking to you!"

"Now you are." That was the last thing he said before I watched him disappearing in the water. I kicked the sand feeling so many things at once. Guilt, anger, tired, Confused. Especially the internal conflict I had with my feelings.

As the days grow longer, I'm getting pushed in a corner by a force. An unknown cause that I'm unaware of. Like the pull that I get from Ao'nung, and being entranced by Neteyam.

It's two different things that have a huge effect on me. I fall to my knees in defeat trying to get a grip at my own selfish way of thinking. It's probably all in my head anyways right? Thinking too much into something that probably is nothing?

I fell back against the sand feeling the sun all over my turquoise body. "I need to ignore what I'm feeling. It's for the better" I spoke aloud not even thinking if anyone heard.

"Hey Y/n!Β  Mind if I join you?" Tsireyas voice made my head turn and smiled. "Sure, I don't mind at all!" She sat down beside me looking out in the distance. "I kinda overheard you and Ao'nung fighting" She leaned on her hand looking down at me. Which I grumbled crossing my arms. "I don't understand your brother sometimes! I thought I knew him so well with growing up together but lately I feel like he's been so distant. In a way with our friendship"

"He's been hanging out with his other group of friends that influence him so much that he doesn't act like himself" Tsireya laid down beside me holding her hand out for me to take. Which I did.

She gently squeezes my hand. "I know...my brother carries a lot of weight on his shoulders, and the reason he acts out is because he's trying to hide what he's feeling." She raises her head to face me. "Y/n you must know something that I should have told you long before the Sully family even arrived in Awa'atlu." Tsireya's sweet voice became solemn and shaky. She exhaled slowly as she sat up. "What exactly do you mean? Tsireya, you're scaring me; you've never been so serious before." I sit up as a result of her actions, and she pulls me in, holding both of our hands.

"I love you like a sister, and my mother and father consider you one of their own...they adore you and your family." "What are you trying to get at?" I ask, confusedly shaking my head. Tsireya leaned in a little more.

"Y/n, my mother-"

"What are you doing, guys?" Neteyam appeared unexpectedly, his hand to his lips, smiling down at both of us. Tsireya let go of my hands, startled by his unexpected appearance. "Hello, Y/n was telling me about the fight earlier," I swallowed as I looked at Neteyam. Why was she lying?

"Yesβ€”It was completely stupid how Ao'nung was picking on Kiri" He looked at me and sighed. "Honestly I don't hate Ao'nung, I just wish he'd leave us alone. But I think me and Lo'ak roughed him and his friends up" he laughs quietly, making us laugh with him.

I saw his bottom lip open and bloody. "Come here, your obviously hurt Tsamsiyu," I said, picking up the same liquid that should have been used on Ao'Ao from before. Neteyam sat crisscross beside me, waiting. I scanned his body for any additional bruising or injuries. This kid was completely unharmed. I applied the liquid to his lips with my hand. It quickly turned a bright pink and became the color of his lip. He was watching me the entire time, but he averted his gaze the moment my gaze shifted to his.

Tsireya was there watching the both of us with her eyebrow raised. Neteyam anxiously licked the side of his lip. I then took his right hand looking at how bloody red it was. "You boys are ridiculous...and what was Lo'ak did to Aos face?" I did the same thing with his hand, gently applying the substance. "Oh, you mean a punch?"

"A punch?" Tsireya looked at Neteyam intrigued. "It's a move, an attack you do to your enemy to basically defeat them" He uses is left hand to make a fist. Though he had only 4 fingers, he still could hurt someone badly with it like Lo'ak did. Me and Tsireya tempted to do exactly that make making a fist. "This is strange, I've never seen anything like this" I attempted to punch but it felt weird when I did so.

"No no, your doing it wrong, here let me show you properly, Tsireya let me show you too"

We both stood up with him, and he told us to take a stance with both arms raised above our heads, so that if anyone tried to punch us, they would be blocked. He then instructed us to punch the air as if we were punching a Na'vi. "How about this?" Tsireya moved her arm slowly. "No, you need to put more force into it," he said as he moved beside her and jabbed the air so fast I didn't even have time to blink. Neteyam put his hand on her shoulder, leaning in to demonstrate how to punch. He moved his hand forward, placing it on hers. I'm not sure why, but when he was so close to her, my chest ached.

I tried to ignore it as best as I could but it was really hurting for some. I rubbed my chest breathing in slowly. What the hell is wrong with me?

"Y/n let me see your punch" Neteyam turned to me now crossing his arms. I move my arm copying his movements to punch the air. He was impressed but still my movements were off.

"It's good, but your stance is a little off." Neteyam took a step to the right to demonstrate proper stance to Y/n. "Someone could easily knock you down like that, so put your feet like this and your hips just a little lower to balance your body out." He drew her in with his hand on her hip. Y/n was at a loss for words and simply let it happen. "Just raise your arms and punch again," he didn't realize until he looked down at her face, which was an inch closer to his.

They both froze.

Too close for comfort yet neither of them moved. She looked at him, and she saw herself in his eyes. Neteyam looked to her lips then back to her eyes. The eclipse was slowly covering the sun, and nightfall would come.

Making everywhere around them light up beautifully. "I- Think I got this" She tried to move away but Neteyams hand on her hip made her stay put. What was his deal?

"You have very pretty eyes, a beautiful shade of aqua like the sea" He bluntly said looking so deeply at her, it made Y/n look away from him "I-..Thank you.." was all she could mutter.

Tsireya was watching this all happen and she bit her lip anxiously. She knows something that she's not telling them.

"MANGA! GET AWAY FROM MY 'IINGO 'EVENEGE!"
Hey you! Get away from my hip girl!

A loud shout came from the waterΒ  making Y/n jolt and move away from Neteyam.
Tsireya gasped looking at the person who was angrily puffing up. "Brother!"

Ao'nung swiftly moved Y/n behind him and pushed Neteyam back "I thought I told you to stay away from the freak?" He looked at her now fuming. Y/n never seen this side of Ao, this jealous side of him.

"Ao'nung please! It's not her fault neither his!" Tsireya pushed him away. Which really did no good. "You should know better then encouraging this whole thing" Small tears began prickly her eyes as she didn't know what to say. "Ao what is wrong with you? You've been so different lately...it's like I don't even know you" Y/n held onto Tsireya to comfort her.

"Just chill bro, let's talk this out" Neteyam placed his hand on Ao'nung but he slapped it and stood his ground. "Stay away from her." He pointed. "And I won't say it again"

Neteyams jaw clenched eyeing him and took a step closer. "What if I don't? What are you gonna do about it fish lips?"

This time, Ao'nung did not back down. He, too, moved forward. "You're going to get what you deserve, tree freak." Tsireya and Y/n both stepped in between the boys and pushed them apart to avoid another fight. To calm Aos, Y/n hugged his waist. She used to do this to him when he got angry and started huffing. He didn't know how to deal with it, so he started hyperventilating when they were younger.

"Ao please stop this, calm yourself" he held her shoulders looking down at her eyes.

"You should have listened to me when I said to Stay away" His tail swayed then looked to Neteyam. "You and your family do not belong here! That's why we left your brother out in the open sea" Everyone stopped moving.

Even Y/n who let go of Ao'nung. "What"

"What do you mean you left him out there!? AO'NUNG" Tsireya cried aloud not only from small tears coming down but at how reckless he is being. Neteyam however was stomping to the other grabbing his arm. "We will tell my father about what you have done. Let us hope he will go easy on you"
