10 years ago my family burned in a fire. a house fire. It burned our house down and everything I loved inside of it. And the person who did it is the reason why I haven't and will never trust anyone ever again.

If you was to ask someone to use one word to describe me, it would probably be arrogant. And I don't feel like they're wrong because I am arrogant.

I believe I am better than anyone at everything I do. I am better than anyone in this stupid town. Why did I come back to Beacon Hills? Simple answer, the alpha.

I want to be the alpha and in order for me to become to the alpha, I have to take his power. Not sure how I am going to do that because i have no idea who the alpha is but when they or the opportunity shows it's self, not anything or anyone is gonna get in my way to try to stop me.

Well that was until I met her,

I was working out, the usual pull ups and push ups, when I heard the scream. It was a female and it sound like she was screaming for her life. I didn't hesitate to run to exactly where it was coming from either.

I sprinted through the woods toward where the scream came from and the scent I was now catching. She smelled of Vanilla and Lavender.

When I reached her she was being attacked by what to look like a coyote but it wasn't. It was a wolf, an alpha. The alpha.

She was trying to fight it off but her small body and little strength was nothing compared to its large muscular hairy body and the teeth sinked into her neck.

I pulled him off of her so she could run. She was bleeding, I could smell it. I got the wolfs attention and it was now coming for me. While it was coming for me she ran the other direction away from us.

By the time I got away from the animal she was long gone. I searched the woods for her scent but it disappeared at the edge of the woods by the road.

I wanted to make sure she was okay. She was bitten by the alpha. She would be turning, and there's a full moon this Friday. She has no idea what's going to happen.

So I was kinda glad she was back in the woods the day after, I smelled her before I heard her. She was with two boys around her age.

When I confronted them she said they were looking for something, probably the inhaler I found which I overheard was one of the boys she was with so I gave it back. Which I didn't consider they could have also been looking for the necklace I found when I moved the body.

I'm going to keep the necklace until she comes looking for it, again. I know she will. I promised myself I would never even go near another woman ever again after what happened with Paige and then Kate. But I guess this is different circumstances

She needs me.

She has no idea what's about to happen to her and I want to help her. And her brother, he was also bitten. I could still smell the fresh blood coming off them, and i over heard them talking about it before revealing myself.

Each footstep I took slowly, not wanting them to hear me approach. They were too distracted talking about werewolves anyways.

I watched as she bent down searching the ground, "This is where I was," i listened in on there conversation as she bent down to look around on the ground, moving some leaves around.

"And it's definitely not a coincidence this is exactly where Scott was also attacked about an hour later then you." I moved my focus to the boy, he looked just like the girl. They must be related. Twins maybe?

"can you please shut up about the stupid werewolf theory and help find my necklace and Scott's inhaler." She was feisty. I can already tell she doesn't take bullshit from anybody.

She was gonna make a good werewolf. One that I would love to have in my pack.

"I could have swore this was it," she stood up looking around, I ducked behind a tree as she looked this way.

"What if it's like an infection, and our bodies are flooding with adrenaline before we go into shock." He had no clue what was going on and it did not help my situation that a full moon is coming up this Friday.

I had a plan, i knew she would come looking again, this time hopefully alone so I could talk to her about the new side of herself. I'll help her out this Friday and get her on my good side so when i become the alpha she'll join my pack.

To me it's a pretty good plan.

Her name is Sophie McCall. She's a sophomore at Beacon Hills high but was held back so she's actually supposed to be a junior.

And tonight is the full moon which is exactly why I'm standing outside the high school waiting for her cheer practice to end so I can talk to her. Tell her she needs my help.

And I hope she listens and lets me help because I am trying to keep a low profile for the both of us since Chris Argent, a werewolf hunter, now lives in Beacon Hills.

I watched as some girls walked out of the school each going to separate cars. She walked out alone, she looked annoyed. I knew she was already feeling the effects of the moon because I was and I knew how to control myself. She doesn't.

I was leaning against her car when she spotted me and came to a slow walk hesitant about continuing. "What are you doing here?" She questioned as she came to a stop a couple feet away from me. "I need to talk to you." I suggested calmly

she looked around, "about what?" She turned back to me as I shrugged, "about what happened in the woods the other night." She looked around concerned walking closer to me

I'm guessing she hasn't told anyone. "I don't know what you're talking about." She played dumb as I chuckled nodding, "i think you do."

She sighed "look, I am not in a very good mood at the moment and I have dealt with enough people for the day so it's best if you just get the hell out of my way so i can leave. I have a party to get ready for."

I nodded slowly standing up from against the car stepping closer to her, "you're not going to that party tonight." I demanded as she scoffed, "and who the hell are you to tell me what I can and can't do?" She reeked of anger.

She was right, I couldn't tell her not to do something but I could suggest her not to do some thing. Whether she takes my advice or not.

"Look, I'm just trying to help you and trust me you want my help but I also can't force you. Just know, full moons are dangerous for rabid animals." I hinted as she kept a straight face not seeming to be bothered by my words.

I took that as she wasn't going to listen to anything I had to say. I sighed as I stepped aside and opened the driver side door for her. She looked to the door and then up to me confused, "don't say I didn't warn you." I warned as I patted the door.

She ignored me and got in the car taking the door from me slamming it closed. I watched with my hands in my jacket pockets as she reversed and sped away.

I can't stop her from going to the party but I can go and keep an eye on her so when she gets to be too much I can swoop in and help. I had no one to help me on my first full moon, and I didn't want that for her.

I have no idea why I feel so compelled to help her, I've never felt like this. She's different, even the way she talks to me is different from everyone else. She's not intimidated by me and she's made it very obvious she's not scared to stand up to me.

She's acting a lot like I did when I triggered my werewolf side. The only difference between me and her right now is I was born with this side, she could have avoided it.

Maybe if I would have gotten to her in the woods sooner I could have gotten him off of her before he bit her. I could have prevented this for her. Now it's my fault her life's about to change completely.

She not only needs my help to learn to control her new side but i could also use her help at becoming the alpha. It's a win win situation for the both of us.

Hello friends!! Sorry it's late and kinda short! I've been busy all day, I had lots of school work since I missed yesterday then I had to run some errands but anyways! The next one will be Sophie's POV, expect Derek's POV every other chapter, it may change depending on the scenarios!
