I had no idea what attacked me last night. But I do know it was big and ready to eat me, but thankfully it didn't.

It jumped on me and then just stopped before running off. I took that as my chance to get away and I ran home.

As soon as I got home, I locked every door in the house. Which thinking back now I don't why, like that would stop an animal from getting in. It was hard to sleep but I managed to get a total of about an hour before my alarm woke me up at six o'clock on the dot.

I rolled out of bed hitting the floor, I am definitely not a morning person. I stood up hitting the off button on my alarm stopping it from ringing. I groaned stumbling into my bathroom, i turned on the shower to the hottest temperature.

I stood in front of my mirror looking at myself, I almost screamed when I noticed blood all over my neck. I put my hand on it, it was dried up blood. Whatever attacked me last night must have bitten or scratched me, I bent down turning the sink on splashing water on the wound.

It was painful as I scrubbed softly working to get the dried up blood off. I stood up straight looking in the mirror again but the scrubbing did nothing because there was blood still everywhere and I couldn't see the actual wound because of the blood.

I removed my clothing and jumped into the shower. I jumped as the scolding hot water hit my neck, I turned the temperature down as I poured some soap on my hand rubbing it onto my neck.

It burned but I powered through because I needed to get all of the blood off. I washed the rest of my body and my hair before turning the water off, i opened the shower door stepping out reaching for a towel. I wrapped it around my body.

I looked up to the fogged mirror. I used my hand to wipe the mist from the hot shower off the mirror so I could now see myself. I got all the blood off and I could now see it was a bite mark.

Whatever attacked me last night bit me? What the hell? Why would it bit me? Well, obviously because it saw me as prey and was ready to eat me and didn't hesitate when it had the chance too.

I'm staying away from woods for now on, I heard some commotion downstairs. It must be my mom getting home from work, she usually works the night shifts on weekends.

I walked into my bedroom picking out an outfit from closet, i walked back into my bathroom changing into the outfit I picked out. I checked my outfit in the mirror, I looked down to my neck realizing my necklace was gone. Shit, it must have fell off last night. I hope it's still there, that's the only thing I have left from my dad.

Scott always tells me I should stop wearing it because he left us but it feels like a piece of him is still with here when I wear it. I only take it off to shower and for cheer practice. I'll have to go back later to check after cheer.

I bandaged the wound up to keep it from sticking to the scarf I would have to wear because there was no way I was going to walk into school with an open wound visible.

I grabbed my backpack and cheer bag and headed out of my bedroom to downstairs. My mom was in the kitchen putting the dishes from the dish washer away, shit I was supposed to do those last night.

"Good morning, happy first day of school!" She exclaimed happily, I knew she was tired and would probably end going upstairs to sleep when i left but she always put on a happy front when around us after a long shift.

"I'm sorry, I forgot to do those last night." She shrugged, "no problem, first day of school flutters. I get it, how'd you sleep?" I shrugged, "like you side, first day of school flutters." She nodded as she picked a bowl up using the towel in her other hand to dry it off before setting it in the cabinet, "uh has Scott left yet?" She nodded, "yeah, him and Stile's just left." I sighed,

how was I supposed to get to school? I could bike, but then I risk being late on the first day. "Why? You need a ride?" I couldn't ask her to give me a ride, she's coming off a 12 hour shift.

"No, it's fine. I'll bike." She waved her hand as she scoffed, "non sense, take my car." I looked at her surprised, she usually won't let me take her car because she goes back into work at one o'clock. "But won't you need it for work later?" I questioned as she shook her head, she reached in her purse pulling the keys out, "i have the rest of the day off." I nodded slowly

She threw the keys to me, I caught them as I shot her a thankful smile, "thanks, mom. I'll come home right after cheer practice." I lied, i didn't have cheer today but i need to go back to where I was attacked to find my necklace and that time span I'm supposed to be at cheer should give me enough time.

I walked over to her hugging as she kissed my cheek, "ok, I love you, have a wonderful day!" I shouted love you too back as I walked out the door.

I made it to school with some time to spare so i could take my cheer bag to the locker room so I wouldn't have to carry it around all day. And maybe I'd even have time to talk to Lydia about last night before class.

I put my bag in my locker in the locker room and started my adventure to find Lydia, she could be anywhere but I wouldn't be surprised if she's with Jackson. I don't know what she saw him, he was a douche bag.

He treats her so horrible but yet she's somehow starstruck by him. And I mostly hate how she feels like she can't be herself around him, she acts dumb around him when she is so far from it. I think she's the smartest girl in school.

I looked all over school and couldn't find her, I gave up and just went to my first period class. I settled into a seat toward the middle of the classroom. I guess you could say I upgraded from the back of the class to the middle because that's where the cheerleaders and Lydia would sit so I naturally followed.

I had no idea who I had classes with because I didn't go to orientation, my mom went with Scott so she got my schedule for me. I didn't really need to go anyways. I know where all the classrooms are and I pretty much know all the teachers.

The only thing different about this year is my classes vary from the second floor to the first floor, last year my classes were all on the first floor, both semesters.

Students began flooding in, i was keeping my eye peeled for Lydia or anyone who would know where she is to walk in. I sighed when I saw Scott and Stiles walking in. The other good thing about last year, I was lucky enough to not get any classes with my little brother and his annoying best friend.

"Hey sis." I looked up to Stiles as he patted my shoulder, I smacked his hand off of me. "I'm not your sis." He grabbed his hand I smacked as he made a hurt face, he dropped down into the seat beside me.

I looked beside me to see Scott sitting on the other side of me as he laughed at our interaction, "hey, Scott tell her about last night." Scott sent him a weird look as I looked to Stiles confused, "what happened last night?" I questioned as i turned back to Scott, he shook his head.

I looked back to Stiles, "what happened last night?" I repeated as he shrugged shaking his head, "never mind." He spit out before quickly facing forward. I shook my head annoyed. I never know what they get into anymore. Scott always comes home late, he says it's because he works but I have a feeling some nights he's actually with Stiles.

"Alright guys and girls, let's settle down so we can began class," Mr Meyers closed the classroom door, I turned my attention to the board as he began writing something, "as you all know there indeed was a body found in the woods last night," oh my god, I looked to Stiles as he looked past me to Scott winking.

That's where they were last night. Stiles has a police radio in his Jeep so he can hear the calls that come in and his dad is also the sheriff. They went looking for the body, oh my god that's what they were gonna tell me.

"And I am sure your little minds are coming up with varies horrific scenarios about what happened. But I am here to tell you, that," He turned around facing us after finishing writing 'Kafka's metamorphosis' on the big dry erase board.

"the police have a suspect in custody. Which means you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus on your desk outlining this semester." I heard groans around the room as I looked down picking up the piece of paper.

All it this is is a piece of paper asking su what we already know and what we will learn this semester just like every other syllabus I will receive today. I don't understand why we need these, we always end up re-learning every thing we already know and if we get lucky maybe something new.

I gripped my ear when I heard a phone ringing, it sounded like it was right in my ear. I looked around but no one moved. Scott was looking down to syllabus confused.

I looked back to mine also confused, I rubbed my ear as the ringing continued. I looked behind me but still no one moved. I shook it off as I faced back forward.

I jumped when I heard a beep and then a voice that sounded like it was also right in my ear, "I do not need any car insurance or whatever you're trying to scam me with now stop calling me." I gripped my ear as I heard a loud beep in my ear again.

I looked around confused but no one had moved an inch once again. Everyone was still looking down at the papers in front of them, not even looking at their phones. I looked to Stiles as he was looking at me confused, "you okay?" He whispered as I nodded looking back down to my paper.

What the hell is going on? First some kind of rabid animal attacks and bites me now I'm hallucinating? If that's even what's happening, I hope it didn't have rabies.

What would I do if it gave me rabies? Well my mom is a nurse at the hospital so, I have that going for me. Can I die from rabies? I should have done my research before I just wrapped it up and moved on like nothing happened.

Cause something most certainly did happen, and if my mom finds out I left the house to go to a party without her home or knowing and then ended up getting bitten by some wild animal, she will kill me.

My thoughts were interrupted by the principal walking into the classroom followed by a girl that looked to be around my age, "class this is our new student, Allison Argent," pretty name i thought to myself. "Just do your best to make her feel welcome." He smiled before turning and walking out, she smiled softly before putting her head down as she walked to the only empty seat behind Scott.

Okay, started the year off with a new girl. Maybe I could get her to join the cheer squad, we're short 3 girls since the seniors graduated and none of the girls who tried out seem good enough. No offense to any of them, they just didn't match the girls already on the squads skill level.

This Allison girl is pretty and looks like she could be a cheerleader type. She's tall but not too tall, she had brown hair which every girl on the squad pretty much has brown hair so she'll blend in well.

After this class is over I'm making a bolt for her, like principle said, 'do the best you can to make her feel welcome.' And I will do just that by asking her to try out for the cheer team.

After class I followed her out of class catching up to her, we talked and sadly she wasn't the cheer type. We had our next class together so that gave me a chance to get to know her better, she said her family has moved around her whole life because of her dads work but they're hoping Beacon Hills will be permanent, or at least permanent until she graduates.

Finally after my last class I tracked down Lydia, she was leaning against the lockers talking to Allison. Of course she's already moving in on the new girl. I walked over, "Lydia, I need to talk to you." She looked at me smiling, "about what?"

"Last night." She shrugged, "I don't know what you're talking about." I sighed when i realized she was playing dumb because Allison was standing right there, I'm probably bout to be a bitch but I don't care anymore. "yes you do, we need to talk about how you left me all alone at the bonfire last night without a ride home so you could go hookup with your asshole boyfriend." She looked to Allison out of the corner of her eyes as her smile fell slightly

Allison looked between us shocked. "I'm just gonna, go." Allison turned walking away quickly before Lydia could protest. Lydia turned back to me as she scoffed, "what the hell is your problem?"

"My problem is you. You left me at that stupid bonfire, that I didn't even want to go to in the first place but you insisted we did so we could get some 'friend time' but instead you ditched me once again for Jackson who is an absolute asshole and doesn't deserve you." I spoke angrily as she looked at me annoyed

"he called and I couldn't just say no." She adjusted her purse as she rolled her eyes, I scoffed nodding, "you could have actually. Is he really that more important than me that you have to leave me at a party with people I don't know and with no ride home? Because if that's so, then screw you. Maybe you do deserve him after all because that makes you just as much of an asshole as him." Her month dropped open surprised that I just said that,

I surprised myself too but I was done letting her walk all over me and have to pretend to be okay with it when I am not just because I don't want to lose the popular girl as my friend. I would so much rather be a loser again than be walked all over by someone who was supposedly my best friend.

"You can now dedicate all of your time to your asshole boyfriend because I am done letting you treat me like shit. Maybe one day you'll realize how shitty he treats you but by then it'll be too late to come running back to me so I can pick up the pieces because I won't be there." She scoffed as I turned around walking away from her leaving her standing in the middle of the hallway speechless.

I had seen enough of people letting others walk all over them because they were scared of the outcome,

my mom let my dad walk all over her because she was scared to leave him and leave us with a broken home. And I had watched Jackson walk all over Lydia to the point she had blocked that side of him out of her vision and only glorified the nice moments, which was very rare and his star lacrosse player side.

I hated I had to lose my best friend in order for her to hopefully understand why I am walking away from our friendship. And on our friend-iversary. One year ago today she walked up to me in our first period class and told me I was her new best friend.

And I did become her best friend for a little, but I guess everyone grows apart eventually.

Hello friends!! I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Also comment if you like short or long chapters, I know the first one was shorter but this one is kinda long. I kinda like the long ones better because I can add more details but comment which you like better because I am writing these for you!! (And kinda for me๐Ÿ˜‚)
Not sure when the next chapter will be out but stay on the lookout for it, I'll probably post in the conversations like I did yesterday when I know!๐Ÿ–ค
