"Girl please you staying wit us the rest of the time we gonna be here." Mariah said and I made a confused face.

"You heard correctly." Adaliya said coming in with my suitcase.

"I thought they was only grabbing a few of my clothes.." I said and Adaliya shrugged.

"You can sleep in my room if you feel uncomfortable I'll sleep on the couch." Amare said and I nodded and felt my cheeks getting warm.

"Thanks." I said before he walked out the room.

"Okay soo imma go get my face masks from my room be back." Mariah said walking out the room leaving me and Adaliya.

"Sooo...how you feel about my brother ?" Adaliya asked and I thought for a second.

"I mean I just met him...he seems cool but also meeting y'all have been fun too." I said and smiled a little.

If I was being honest this is possible the most I've smiled or had fun in a hot minute.

"Aweee thanks Pooh it's been nice getting to know you too."

"Here gone ahead and put your number in my phone, imma add you to the group chat." Adaliya said handing me her phone and I put in my number then handed it back.

"Okay here." Mariah dropped different face masks on the floor in between us all.

"Bitch why so many??" Adaliya asked.

"Becauseee why not now chose what y'all want." Mariah said.

I chose the pink one while Adaliya got the green and Mariah picked the light orange one.

We got up and went into the bathroom.

I grabbed my hair tie and pulled my hair back before I started applying the stuff to my face.

"Anyways...wait girl we gotta get to know a lil
More about you." Mariah said and I shrugged.

"Not really much to know..my mom died when I was 6 I currently live with my dad honestly ready to move out." I said and they nodded.

When I looked closer in the mirror I could tell my bruises were more visible since I had my hard pulled back.

I gulped and shook my head hoping they wouldn't notice much.

"Lemme hear you say heyyyyy we want some pussayyyyy!!" Luxor sung coming into the room holding a speaker.

"Heyyyh we want some pussayyy!" Journey and Amare sung.

"I— see we finna start locking doors." Mariah said as Luxor grabbed her and twirled her around making us laugh.

"Stop playing like come and put that pussy on me." Luxor said and Mariah rolled her eyes.

"What y'all doing in here anyways?" Adaliya asked.

"Cause we wanna do face masks." Journey said walking up behind Adaliya.

I shook my head as Amare walked up to me and touched my face.

"Stop it ain't dry." I said moving back and he shrugged.

"I was just tryna see." He said.

"Boy please you just wanted to touch me." I said shaking my head.

"Maybe you right." He said and I shook my head.

"Wanna do it?" I asked holding up the container I used and he nodded.

"Gimme a hair shit thingy." He said and I shook my head before handing him one of my hair ties.

He used it and put some of his twists up in the front.

"Go." He said and I squeezed some on my fingers and started putting it on his face.

As i continued, I felt him staring at me the whole time and I was trying my best to avoid eye contact.

I finally made eye contact with him and he bit his lip.

Not today satannn—

I broke it and sat the stuff down.

"Okayyyy who wanna play uno?" Luxor asked as he held up a deck of cards.

"Leggo how we playing??" Afaliya asked as they walked out the bathroom.

Everyone was out except me and Amare.

"You keep staring at me what??" I asked as he walked closer to me.

I didn't attempt to step back, I felt stuck and mesmerized by him.

He grabbed my face with one hand and leaned down.

Our lips were honestly centimeters apart and I felt my heart beating fast as fuck.

I slowly leaned in before our lips touched, it was a slow passionate kiss.

And may I mention my first kiss.

He leaned back and smiled at me,"Come on let's go play." He said and I just knew my cheeks were red.

We had all peeled off our face masks by now then started back playing.

"You stupid muthafucka ohhh I'm on your ass now for the rest of the game." Luxor said to Adaliya as he got 8 cards from the pile.

"It's not my fault! Mariah threw out a plus 4 I wasn't taking that hoe so I threw out mines." Adaliya shrugged.

"Nope I don't wanna hear it I'm coming for you every time some body reverse this hoe." Luxor said.

"Gotchu." Amare said throwing out a reverse card.

"Bitch I'm moving back to the adoption center." Adaliya said.

"Girl you too old to take back trust I tried to convince dad once." Amare said and Adaliya smacked him upside his head.

We continued to play a few more rounds overall some how Mariah won most of the rounds.

"Ahhh queen shit." She said sticking her tongue out.

"Bye I'm hungry I'll get some snacks out the pantry." Adaliya said getting up walking to the kitchen.

Amare got up then grabbed my hand and we walked to the back door then out onto a patio.

He sat down first and I sat beside him, I watched as he lit a blunt and took a puff.

"Wanna hit??" He asked and I shook my head no before leaning back onto the seat.

"So...tell me some more about you." He said and I shrugged.

"Like what?" I said and he looked at me.

"You do know those bruises are visible right...and I know that ain't no falling so don't even lie." He said and I sighed before I felt tears in my eyes making me look up and rub my eyes.

"Ahh shit I'm sorry I ain't tryna make you cry ma." He said pulling me into his lap and hugging me.

I wiped my face and sat up in his lap.

I know damn well that ain't his dick-

"Umm...when my mom died I was six.." I said then looked up at him.

I'm really finna open up to a stranger...and basically staying with them too.

I don't know if this is healthy but fuck it yolo.

"And...it really wasn't until I got like 13 and 14, and I guess for my age you could say I went through puberty faster than others.

Basically I believe my dad was on coke and what not and one day he had men over and they were finna start touching on me until one of them asked my age, I said 14 and he scrunched up face and looked at my father..

They left because they said I was too young to be having people do that to me which was a relief for a second until the second they left my dad snatched me up and slammed me on the floor..." I stopped for a minute as I felt my throat get tight.

He started rubbing my back,"It's okay..." he said.

"A-and he started choking me saying it was my fault...it was my fault my mom wasn't there anymore..after that he continued hitting me, if I come home a minute later than usually I was beat even times he locked me in my room for days with nothing, which caused me to start homeschooling cause I kept missing school...he doesn't even know I'm on this trip, we moved away from all family I don't even know where they're at anymore." I said feeling tears down my face.

"It's okay ma...look he ain't gonna hurt you no more." He said rubbing my back as I cried onto his shoulder.

"H-how I have to go back after a few days." I said and he sighed.

"You don't have to...look I can plan some shit out and We can go get your clothes from there and I'll make sure he don't lay a single hand on you Ight? And you can come stay wit me Adaliya and my father, I promise he's nothing like your father." He said and I was debating.

"I don't know.." I said.

"Come on at least think about cause I'm sure you don't wanna go back to staying with your father." He said and I sighed cause he was right.

This maybe my only chance to escape him.

"Alright..." I said and Amare smiled making me smile.

"Now gimme another kiss." He said puckering his lip and I got out his lap wiping my face.

"Little too much dip on ya chip." I said before he got up.

"Girl- okay." He said getting up and putting his blunt out.
