You were in a dimly lit, well decorated room, sitting on a couch. It felt cold, as shivers were sent down your spine.

Currently, you were in another therapy session, as you now had them on a weekly basis.

After the unfortunate school tragedy, you were diagnosed with panic disorder, and PTSD. It felt like you would never become the person that you were before the incident.

You lost three good friends during the shooting, Anna, Andrew, and Zayvion. You still relive that moment, every single minute of everyday. Walking out with your hands and shirt covered your classmates blood, the screaming, the gunshots.

It all became too much for you, as you haven't been to school since.

You walked out of the therapist's office, as your mom was waiting out in the parking lot for you. You walked up to her mini-van, and opened the passenger door.

"So? How did it go?" She asked, as you sat down and sighed.

"How do you think it went? It's the same as always, Mom. I'm not gonna change." You mumbled, as your mother exhaled through her nose.

You felt your phone in your pocket began to vibrate, as you pulled it out. It was a text from Vada. After replying to her message, you began to have a conversation with her back and forth.

Vada:

You:

yeah, im okay
you?

Vada:

yeah.
can i actually come over if that's okay? i just need someone to talk to rn

You:

yea ofc

After texting Vada, you looked over at your mom, as she pulled into the driveway.

"Hey, Mom, is it cool if Vada comes over?" You asked, as she unlocked the doors to the car.

"Yeah, of course sweetie... I'm heading off to work, so make sure to look after the house." She informed you, as you nodded to yourself.

You grabbed your phone and stuffed in your pocket as you hopped out of the car.

"Bye, Mom." You waved goodbye as she blew you a kiss and waved back.

You made your way into your house, as you walked to your room. You shut the door behind you and sat on the edge of your bed. You sighed heavily as you stared down at the white carpet floor.

You just thought about everything that's happened to you up until that point. Your therapist told you to try and not think so much, and to distract yourself with certain hobbies that you were interested in.

The only thing was is that you didn't really have hobbies, you didn't really know what you enjoyed doing anymore after the incident at school.

After a few minutes, you felt your phone vibrate, as it was a text from Vada saying that she was here. You sat up from your bed and walked out to the front door.

As you opened the door, you saw Vada, who looked like she hasn't slept in days, as her hair was in a messy bun, and she was wearing a long red print t-shirt, with purple and black striped shorts.

She gave you a sad smile, you doing the same.

"Hey." She greeted, as she fiddled with her phone in her hands.

"Hey," You greeted back, as you both stood there in silence.

Soon Vada made the first move, as she walked closer to you and pulled you into a tight but gentle embrace. You wrapped your arms around her smaller figure, as you buried your face in the crook of her neck and shoulder. Vada continued to embrace you, as she rubbed soothing circles on your back.

You both stayed like that for a solid minute before she pulled away.

"Wanna, like, come in?" You offered as she chuckled.

"Yeah, why else would I be over here?" She accepted, as she walked in your house.

You and Vada both knew each other from school, as you both shared a few classes together. Nick had actually introduced the two of you, as he hoped that you would become friends, and maybe more if it ever got that far.

The funny thing is however, is that you two didn't necessarily get along at first. You both had different outlooks on life, hung out with different crowds, and had conflicting opinions about certain topics.

However, after spending a few nights getting high together, you both resolved the conflict and became best friends, as you, Vada, and Nick became an unstoppable trio.

You were an athlete, playing multiple sports, and hanging out with mainly other athletes or more 'popular' kids. Though you didn't actually like playing sports.

To be honest, you'd rather chill in your room and either play video games or watch anime. You only played sports to satisfy your father.

From an outsider's perspective, it seemed like the three of you would never get along, but it's quite the opposite as you three had good chemistry together.

You eventually stopped hanging out with your normal group and instead hung out with Vada and Nick, as you enjoyed yourself more around them.

However, ever since the shooting, you've all been quite distant from one another. This is the first time you've seen Vada in person in two weeks.

As you shut the door behind her, you both headed up into your room, as she flopped down on your bed, and sighed heavily.

You joined her, as you flopped down on the empty space next to her, your head next to her stomach as both of you laid in silence, staring at the ceiling.

"...Everything's really been really fucked up, hasn't it?" You spoke up, keeping your gaze onto the white ceiling.

"...Yeah." Vada mumbled back, as her voice cracked in the process.

"...Zayvion's funeral is tomorrow." You informed Vada, as she quickly sat up on your bed.

You stayed laid on the bed, you h/c hair slightly covering your vision as you stayed in that position, your hand curled up on your chest as you arm rested beside you.

Vada's voice became softer as she scooted closer to you, looking down at you as she spoke.

"Are you gonna be okay..?"

You began to break up, as tears swelled in your eyes, you lip quivering.

"I don't know... I don't know anything anymore..." You mumbled before turning to your side away from Vada.

"Y/n..." Vada softly called your name, as you quickly sat up in your bed, wiping away your tears.

"I'm fine." You stated, as Vada sat on the edge of the bed next to you.

"I can go with you if you'd like." She offered, as you looked down at the beige carpet.

"...I'd appreciate it. I think I'll be okay if you're there." You responded as you looked up at the brunette haired girl.

Her brown eyes were locked with your e/c ones, as she softly grasped your hand, as you sighed heavily.

"It's gotta get better, right?" You asked her, your eyes filled with worry and doubt.

"We can't feel like this forever... Right?" You added on as Vada looked down at your blue colored bed sheets.

"I think so... Maybe if we stay together, it'll get better." She responded, looking back up at you.

"As long as I have you, I'll be okay." She added on, giving you a gentle, but sad smile, and you giving her one back.

Vada rubbed her thumb across the knuckles of your hand as she leaned in closer to you, her eyes glancing down at your lips.

You soon realized that she was going in for a kiss as her eyelids slowly shut, your heart began to race with the closer her full lips got to yours.

You shut your eyes as you leaned in as well, closing the gap between the two of you as you lips finally met. Her lips were soft, and warm up against yours.

It was a quick kiss, as you pulled out only to meet her pretty brown eyes. Her long eyelashes batting at you as she glanced back down at your lips, hungry for more.

You quickly leaned back in as you pressed your lips against hers, as it was a bit more rough than the last kiss. You tilted your head and cupped her cheek, to deepen the kiss as Vada grabbed the back of your neck.
