Carson was sitting on Jack's bed wrapping gifts. He was currently out with the rest PG, she had no idea what they were doing but he was said it was something they did whenever they all came home so they of course had to do it now. She had been in Louisville with Jack for two days now. She had met both of his parents along with his grandmother, all very nice people. She liked his mom the best, she didn't think anyone could make better cookies than Deja's mom but Maggie for sure did.

She tossed the wrap gift onto the floor before looking around his childhood room as she stood up and stretched. Her eyes landed on a poster that made her squint, she walked closer to it and as she did the door flew open. She turned around to see Jack coming in, "Is this Lola from Shark Tales?" She asked, pointing at the poster.

Jack stopped walking, he looked at the poster before laughing. "Yeah, my first crush."

"You're serious?" She glanced at the poster and then at him. "That's weird, Jack. You know that's not normal, right?"

He smiled then shrugged, "I can't help what I like." He kept walking, emptying his pockets out onto his desk. A bunch of coins fell out of his pockets, some of them hit the floor which made Carson pay attention to what he was doing.

She walked over and saw the pile of coins he was pouring out of his pockets, wet coins. "Did you steal these from a well?" Her eyes went wide.

"Hell no," He shook his head. "It was from a fountain." He laughed, reaching down to pick up the ones that fell.

"Boy, you are too rich to be stealing coins." She looked down at the rusted pennies in her hand. She scrunched her nose and tossed it aside, wiping her wet hand on his back. "Is this what you guys were doing? You guys steal coins every time you come home?"

"Yeah," He flopped down on the bed. "It's a tradition." He shrugged.

"Your tradition is stealing dirty ass coins? Really?" She walked towards the bathroom to wash her hands.

Jack looked up at the ceiling, "Yeah. We've been doing it every Christmas Eve since I can remember. It's a long story, I don't even feel like explaining." He looked at all the gifts she had wrapped. "Should I go put those under the tree?"

"Yep, make your life useful." She nodded before going into the bathroom and closing the door.

He stood and gathered all the gifts in his hands before leaving the room. He went downstairs went them and kneeled down by the tree to set them all down. He looked around and when he didn't see anyone nearby he peeled back the wrapping on one of the gifts with his name on it. He unwrapped it just enough to see the Rolex label on the box, he smiled widely but his happiness was cut short when he felt a sharp hit to the back of his head.

"What are you, five?" His mom asked. "Put the gift down, Jackman. And come help me in the kitchen since you want to snoop." She demanded.

Jack dropped the gift and stood up straight, "Why you always hitting me?" He mumbled, following her into the kitchen.

"Because you're a little bitch," Clay said from the table where he had his feet propped up on another chair.

"Watch your mouth, Clayborn." Maggie sighed, shaking her head. "Who raised you boys?"

"Yeah, Clayborn, watch your mouth." Jack teased, childishly sticking out his tongue at his younger brother. He then went to wash his hands so he could help his mom with the food.

"Shut up, Jackman." Clay grabbed his phone and just sighed heavily, he hated his name and Jack knew that so he used it whenever he got the chance.

Jack looked over at him, "Is your girlfriend still coming over tomorrow?"

"She's actually coming over tonight," Clay told him without looking up from his phone.

"Who's coming over tonight?" Maggie asked, handing Jack a few carrots to cut up. He turned around placed them on the cutting board before started to cut them for her. "Clay's girlfriend." He told his mom.

"Since when do you have a girlfriend?" She asked, grabbing another knife and motioning for Clay to come over and help them.

He got up and walked over, taking the knife, "For like a few weeks mom. It's not a big deal." Clay mumbled.

"Nah, it's a huge deal. You know he drove way to Atlanta to see her?" Jack snitched, tossing the ends of the carrots into the trash. "And stayed at her house too."

"What?" She looked at her youngest son, "You told me you drove down to see Jack."

Clay rolled his eyes, "I did go see, Jack. You know he's having unprotected sex? I saw it for myself."

Maggie set her knife down, "You saw him having sex?" She asked before looking at Jack. "Unprotected?"

Jack quickly shook his head, "He's lying. Mom, you know he be lying for no reason."

Clay pointed his knife at Jack, "You lied first. I wouldn't have to lie if you didn't."

"So you don't have a girlfriend?" She asked, now confused. She couldn't tell what parts were true and what parts were lies.

"I do," He told her, not lowering his knife that was still pointed at Jack. "I was going to introduce her to you guys tonight. She's flying in. He ruined my surprise."

"Oh, stop whining," Their dad said, coming in from the backyard. "Use your adult voice. And put the knife down, you're going to hurt someone." He then continued to walk through the kitchen without even stopping, going right upstairs.

"Well," She smiled. "I can't wait to meet her."

Carson and Jack stood in his front yard with mugs full of hot chocolate in their hands, "It never snows this much back home." She looked down at her dark pink Versace boots that were being swallowed by the snow.

"It usually doesn't snow this much," He looked up at the sky, it had stopped snowing for a few minutes so they decided to step out and enjoy the fresh snowfall.

She extended her arm and poured some of her hot chocolate into the snow, making sure none of it splashed back onto her all white outfit. "What was the point?" He asked, looking over at her to which she shrugged. "Just wanted to see how it would look."

"Okay then," He shook his head and looked back up at the sky. As soon as he looked up he was hit in the face with a snowball, causing him to fall back and hit the snow. Carson looked over to see where it came from, she saw Urban and Quiiso standing there with snowballs in their hands.

She tossed her mug into the snow and stepped over Jack who was trying to get up, "Don't hit me. Please don't hit me." She pleaded while walking back up the porch and into the house.

When the door shut, Jack grabbed a handful of snow and aimed at Quiiso, hitting him square in the chest. Quiiso dramatically grabbed his chest, "Why you throw it at the black guy? Urban hit you."

"Sorry." Jack grabbed another handful but before he could throw it, Urban threw his, hitting Jack in the face again. Jack once again hit the snow since he had just gotten to his knees when Urban threw another snowball. Urban laughed and ran to get more snow, when he bent down to grab more he was hit in the head with a water balloon.

He stumbled back, holding his head as Ace and Dawoyne just laughed. They both hopped out of their car, leaving the engine on as they began to pelt everyone with ice cold water balloons.

"Clay!" Jack yelled as he stumbled inside the house, leaving the door wide open as he ran in. Clay ran down the stairs, "I got 'em. Come on." He tossed Jack the super soaker water gun before running outside with his own. He stood on the porch, shooting everyone he could.

Lucci and Shloob pulled up in Lucci's car, running out with their own water guns. Jack ran back out of the house, he jumped off the porch and aimed his gun at Lucci who saw Jack coming, he bent down and the water hit Majesty right on the side of her face. She was trying to dodge all the water and snow so when she got hit, she just stopped walking completely.

"Majesty, I'm so sorry." Jack lowered his gun. "Let me get you a towel." He turned to head into the house again but he felt a water balloon hit him in the back of the head. It exploded and the water ran down his shirt as Majesty just laughed loudly. When he turned around to get her back she ducked behind one of the cars, getting down on her knees to make her own snowballs.

Urban ran around the car and smashed a water ballon over her hair causing her to scream, "Urban!" She took one of her snowballs and tried to hit him with it as he ran away but she missed miserably, when it hit the ground she frowned before going back to make another one.

Carson, hearing all the screaming, yelling, and laughter decided to go back outside after changing her outfit since she still wanted to take pictures in the other outfit and she didn't want to mess it up.

As soon as she stepped outside Nemo was parking his car behind all the others, Zaza jumped out, grabbing the nearest balloon and hitting Carson with a smile. Carson gasped as the water hit her in the chest. She bent down to get snow and she began to chase after the little girl, "Come here!"

As they ran around and everyone else fought with water, Amari's Uber was pulling up in the chaos. "Is this the right house?" The man asked as Amari looked out of the window. Right in front of her door, Dawoyne fell in the snow with Jack standing over him, emptying his water gun in his face.

Amari nodded slowly, "Yeah. This is the right place." She opened the door, accidentally hitting Jack. "Sorry, Ja-," She was cut off by him turning the water gun on her and shooting her right in the lips with the water. She quickly shut the door, wiping her face. "Drop me at the corner, please."

Jack was sitting in front of the fireplace with two blankets wrapped around him, he had just gotten out of the shower but he was still freezing cold. Brian, his dad, took a sip from his coffee, "That's what you get for playing in the snow. You guys are too old for that."

Jack side-eyed him, "You just mad that you can't bend down to make a snow ball." He mumbled, turning back to look at the fire.

"Don't talk to my dad like that," Clay said from the couch where he was sitting under his own blanket with Amari.

"Why you always got something to say to me?" Jack didn't even bother looking over at him. "You talk too much."

"You talk too little," Clay shot back with a smile, he loved messing with Jack whenever he could. "Man, you should come home more."

Jack scoffed and shook his head, "Hell no. I hate it here." He said, sounding serious although everyone knew he was just joking.

"What are you kids doing tonight?" Brian asked, setting his coffee aside. "Going out? Away from here?"

Clay looked at him, "Are you trying to get rid of us?"

He nodded, "Yeah." He said simply. Jack laughed, "Carson and I were invited to a holiday party downtown."

"Just you and Carson were invited?" His mom asked, walking in with her own warm drink. She sat down next to her husband, crossing her legs.

Clay scrunched up his face, "No...we were invited too. Jack is just weird." He shook his head.

"Oh, you guys should go." Maggie encouraged. "Have a fun night on the town." She smiled.

"On the town?" Jack mumbled but Clay talked over him, "We're going. It just doesn't start until 12."

Amari finally spoke, "Whose party is it?" She asked as she played with Clay's fingers under the blanket.

"Some guy on Instagram," He shrugged. "You don't know him?" Brian asked. "Is that how you kids do things nowadays?"

Carson came down the stairs with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, she had just gotten out of the shower. She went and sat down next to Jack as he nodded at his father, "Pretty much."

"Oh..." Brian nodded before going back to reading the newspaper that was in his hands. Jack lifted his arm, opening his blanket to Carson who scooted closer, he lowered his arm around her once her body was pressed to his. "We goin' to that party?" She asked softly.

"If you're down," Jack shrugged, looking at the flames that rose and fell every few seconds. He couldn't stop staring at it, it was mesmerizing to him. She reached over and poked his cheek causing him to look over at her, "What?"

Carson shook her head, "Just wanted to make sure you were alright." She continued to gently touch his facial hair as she talked.

He smiled and nodded, "I mean other than the water in my ears, I'm fine." He joked making her smile too. "I'm down for the party." She then told him, letting her hand fall into her lap.

β€’β€’β€’

Carson, Jack, Amari, and Clay all walked into the house party together. Jack had went back to the Instagram page that had invited them and realized it was an old friend from high school, well an old acquaintance, they were never that close. Clay and Amari separated from the group to find drinks so Carson and Jack found themselves walking around for a moment.

Carson stood by Jack's side as people greeted him, damn near every person that saw him walking through the crowd would stop him and dap him up like they were old friends. She thought he was kidding about the attention he got back home but it was no joke, she wondered how many of these people actually cared about getting to know him before Whats Poppin took off. She couldn't help but think that everyone trying to talk to him now either wanted something from him or they just wanted to say that they "knew" someone famous.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by Jack's voice, "What's on your mind?" He asked, offering her the can of soda he had just pulled from a cooler.

Carson took the soda and opened it, taking a long sip before speaking, "These people are fake as hell."

He chuckled as she handed him back the soda, he swiped his thumb over the can to clean the gloss off before he took a sip too. "What makes you say that?"

"You told me about how many people didn't believe in your dream, now all of a sudden they all love you." She crossed her arms and stepped closer to him as someone walked behind her. Jack shrugged and wrapped his arm around her neck to hold her closer, she wrapped her arms around his torso and looked up at him.

"Why does it matter?" He looked around, accidentally making eye contact with someone who didn't hesitate to smile and wave at him. He raised his soda, nodded and smiled at the person before looking back to Carson. "I know who's really got my back, you know? Who was really with me from the start. Everyone else don't matter to me."

"I guess, that's a good way to look at it." She took the soda and took another sip from it, this time cleaning the lipgloss herself with her sleeve. "You're cool for not letting the fame get to your head."

Jack only smiled, "I know."

For the most part the party sucked, they were only there for about 45 minutes before finding Clay and Amari who agreed the party was lame. When they were back in the car Amari looked at Carson. "Where did you guys go?"

"We were hanging out in the kitchen," She yawned. "Then them weirdos started baking brownies and asking Jack to rap for them so we went to the backyard." She let her head rest against the cold window.

"Sounds like fun to me," Clay slumped down his seat as he tried to fight his yawn. "We got stuck in a room with guys playing Dungeons and Dragons."

Jack looked at Clay through the mirror, "They were playing what?" He asked, he had never seen that before, he was wished he was in that room.

"Dragons with Dungeons? Man, I don't know. But it was boring." Clay rolled down his window, immediately earning protests from both Amari and Carson.

Everyone was tired and cold, rolling down the window only brought more of the cold air in. "Sorry, it just smells like weed in here." He mumbled, sticking his head out of the window as Jack sped down the empty street.

"That's because you were smokin' that shit." Amari hit him across the chest. "Roll it back up, it's freezing."

"It's not even that cold," Clay brought his head back into the window, rolling it back up as he slumped into his seat.

Jack stopped at a red light, "You know mom is going to be on your ass about smelling like weed. Why do you even do that knowing we going into her house?" He tugged on his seatbelt as he glanced back to look at his high younger brother.

"We could always go to your house," Clay suggested, snapping his fingers a few times.

Carson rolled her eyes, "Nigga his house is in a different state."

Clay looked at Carson before looking down at the backs of his hands, "What did you just call me?"

β€’β€’β€’

Carson sat criss cross on the bed as she scrolled through Twitter. She was trying to figure out why she was trending since she hadn't done anything trending worthy. Once she found out, she smiled to herself. Some random ass Tiktoker had made an entire song about her and people started realizing that a lot of guys had been trying to get with her for a while now, which was true.

She was trending for being the new 'IT girl,' which she was wasn't complaining about at all. Carson then went to Instagram and started collecting photos from the last month. She was going to do a photo dump.

She found some flicks of her and Jack in there and contemplated on leaving them there, or just taking them out. But then she figured she never posted Jack, like ever, so she just left them in there.

Carson posted the flicks and videos before closing her phone and stared at the light blue walls that was covered in posters and pictures of herself, which Carson gladly did herself. She yawned as she rolled out of bed and went to her bags and started looking for her hair supplies.

She was going to do her makeup later since it was still morning and she didn't wanna seem extra. As she got her
