Angel currently had her head placed in her hands and was trying to block out the sound of Missy's booming voice as the two sat outside the school gates whilst waiting for the day to start.

The blonde had been pestering Angel nonstop about her hidden relationship with Cory as the girl had practically said nothing about what had gone down between the two over the summer. Missy wanted all the gossip from her best friend but more importantly she wanted to know if the boy was going to treat the brunette right as Cory had a reputation of messing girls around.

"Nope, sorry Jelly, I want all the details and I won't stop until I get them!" Missy proudly stated once she heard Angel groan at the teen's discomfort with talking about her relationship, she also happily giggled at the hated nickname that she had given Angel years ago.

"Nothings going on between Cory and I, we've just gotten closer since Jorden started to mess around," Angel muttered as she played with the ends of her hair. The blonde only smirked in response to her best friend as she could tell she was lying a mile away, Angel could never keep still when she wasn't telling the truth and this was shown when the girl constantly began to fidget when talking about not having feelings for the teen boy.

The duo were about to carry on their conversation but a familiar voice stopped them, quickly looking over to the commotion that had arisen they saw Nas aggressively pushing away Missy's mum before storming off into school. Students around the scene began to snicker and giggle at the state of the Booth mother and once Missy and Angel had made their way over to her the blonde was nearly in tears that she saw one of her best friends react so brutally towards her mum.

"Lend us a fiver, will you, love?" Simone pleaded once her daughter had pulled her into a hug. Angel only watched over the two in both sadness and anger, sadness because she knew what Missy had been through and that the teen girl deserved better than this, but also anger as she couldn't believe how Nas had acted since joining the school with her old friends in tow.

The immense irritation Angel held towards Nas only seemed to increase as the school day went on. Unfortunately, the brunette girls day in relation to her friends seemed to get worse as during a lesson switch over she saw Jordan running around the school halls with a hijab on his head which made Angel quickly sprint after the teen boy and abruptly pulled him to a stop outside the administrator's office.

"What are you playing at?" She hissed at him as she pulled the scarf off his head and shoved it in her handbag. Angel was constantly trying to get the boy out of trouble as she knew if his dad found out it would end badly, however, this school year it seemed like all Jordan wanted to do was cause trouble and she knew sooner or later she wasn't going to be able to save him from the consequences.

"Look if this is about the joining of the two schools I know its scary, I was nervous to begin with but-" Angel carried on when the boy didn't reply, however, Jordan cut off the brunette before she could finish her second sentence.

"It's not that!" He argued whilst looking at the ground. Jordan really looked up to Angel as a friend and he hated it when she got dragged into his mess, it didn't stop him from getting into one, however.

Angel just sighed at her friend and just as she was about to reply she got cut off once again but this time by a teacher leaving the office the two had stopped by. This seemed to spark Jordan's troublesome behaviour as before Angel could react he had left and locked himself inside the office which had the PA system inside, meaning he could talk to the whole school over the speakers.

"Hello, Ackley! What do we all think of Ackley Bridge College then? They think they can keep us quiet with a lick of paint and some crap about learning to live together. We all know that Ackley Bridge is nothing but a left-for-dead town with food banks, smackheads and pram faces." Jordan declared to the whole school.

Angel quietly swore under her breath at the boy's stupid antics and began to slam on the door to try and get him to get out of there. Mr Bell and Mrs Carter soon came rushing down the hallway once hearing the teen over the speakers and quickly spotted Angel trying to get the delinquent out of the office.

"Get off and open the door! Angel get to class!" Mr Bell shouted to the two teens, the brunette went to protest but was quickly shut down when the headmistresses glared at her. The teen pouted in response and slowly made her way to her lesson, she noticed once she was there Cory's absence and once lunch rolled around she decided to try and find him, but once outside the school instead of seeing Cory she saw her two best friends at a standoff.

Missy was screaming at Nas about the way she treated her mum and even though Angel was on the blonde's side, she didn't want to see it turn physical between the two. Jogging up to the duo and the small crowd of students they had attracted with all their shouting, Angel was about to step in until Missy harshly pushed Nas.

"Oh, like you don't know how to fight back? Oh, oh, cos you're so perfect! You're so good! You're such a good little Muslim, you fit right in with that lot. You were out drinking with me in town not two nights ago!" Missy screamed at her best friend. This seemed to infuriate Nas massively as the two started a full-blown fight, there was hair pulling, punches and pushing. Angel was about to step in but a pull at her sleeve stopped her.

"Don't." Cory stated. He had a smirk plastered on his face and the brunette could tell he had great pleasure in watching the two girls fight.

She harshly pulled her arm away from Cory's tight hold and proceeded to try and break up the fight, unluckily for Angel she had stepped in at the wrong moment as Missy had just dodged Nas's punch and it went straight for Angel's eye. This angered the blonde even more as she then charged for Nas and got on top of her to start hitting her even more.

"Are you alright?" Cory asked once he had himself pushed through the crowd and over to Angel, she swiftly shook her head no and the teen boy was fast to pull her away from all the madness that her two best friends had caused.

Angel was beyond shocked that Nas could hit that hard for having such a small structure and she wasn't going to admit it but her eye was in agony. The brunette was so focused on keeping her eye open that she didn't even realise that Cory had pulled her out of the school grounds and the two were heading in the direction of his house.

Angel decided to keep quiet and not complain about missing school which seemed to please him as he didn't say anything the rest of the way to his home. Once the two had made their way into the Wilson household Cory mumbled something about getting ice for Angel's eye.

She had seated herself on the sofa just as Cory came in with a pack of frozen peas. Thankfully the boy's dad wasn't home as the two teens have had many awkward chats with him about 'staying safe' throughout the summer, especially when the teen girl would sleep over.

"We didn't have any ice, hopefully, this will do," He said as he took a seat next to the girl.

Angel gladly accepted it and sighed in relief once the frozen package was against her eye socket. Cory leant back against the seat with a smug look on his face which Angel noticed as she raised an eyebrow at him.

"You know, that was kind of hot earlier, you three girls, one on one... on one," Cory jokingly stated.

Angel snorted in reply to the teen boys idiotic remark but soon stopped when it made her eye twitch in pain. Cory stared at the girl in both amusement and affection, he really did like Angel but he would never admit that and ruin his reputation of being a ladies man, and thankfully in his favour Angel didn't seem to mind this either, or at least that's what he thought.

The two sat in a comfortable silence until Angel heard a car pull up outside, deciding to not go through another safe sex - something which they weren't having - talk with Cory's slightly scary dad, she decided to head home for the night.

"I better be going, make sure Jordans alright for me?" Angel murmured as she passed back the frozen peas to the boy.

Cory couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed that the girl was leaving so soon as he hadn't even had to chance to try and kiss her, something which they both enjoyed doing in their spare time very much.

"At least let me walk you home, gotta keep the bad kids away from my girl." The teen boy stated as he walked into the kitchen to put away the peas.

"So I'm your girl now am I, what happened to keeping things casual?" Angel teased once Cory had reappeared from the next room. For the first time in a long time the boys face slightly heated up in embarrassment at letting slip the pet name he had for the brunette.

"I meant one of my many girls," Cory quickly but confidently responded back. Angel only playfully rolled her eyes in response to his statement and the two both made their way to her house.

Somehow on the way back, Cory seemed to convince the girl to stay out with him a little while longer and that's how they both ended up sitting on the old worn out sofa which lived inside a skip with the boys lips sucking against her neck.

This had been going on for many minutes now and Angel was sure she had a purple bruise on her neck which matched the one on her eye, but she didn't mind as her dad wasn't home for a few weeks still and Missy and Nas weren't ones to judge. Thinking of Nas made Angel suddenly feel bad as even know she was in the wrong, the teen hated to fight with her friends.

"Let's pick this up another time yeah? My eye's still hurting me," Angel stated once she gently pushed the boy away, Cory pouted in return so Angel leaned over and placed a single kiss on his lips, and with that she got up and strutted away to call Nas, not before turning around and giving a cheeky wink to the teen who was still sat where she had left him. Cory smiled to himself and was just about to head back to his own house when no one other than Missy Booth stopped him.

"Oi Cory, You know Nasreen?" Missy began. The girl hated doing this to Nas but she was too blinded by anger to notice that she would be hurting both of her best friends with asking such a thing.

"Girl who punched Angel? Yeah, I know her." He said wondering where this conversation was heading.

"Sleep with her for me."
