"Todoroki Shouto."

"I'll be going then Miss L/n." Shouto continues.

"No need to be so formal," I say smiling. "We're around the same age, just call me Y/n."

"Sorry." Monotone, yet somehow it wasn't boring.

"It's fine. I'll see you around I guess." I reply with a smile.

"Goodbye."

I give a small wave before turning around and leaving.

The walk home was lonely, cold, and boring.

Maybe Shouto will be my friend. I think to myself. But if he finds out... I'll just have to keep it a secret from him.

I open the door to my house, well more like my mansion. Mom is probably out doing hero work.

My mother is one of the top heroes. To the public eye, she's a beautiful hero with brains and brawn. She believed that her one and only daughter would have to be perfect, just like she is. Beautiful, smart, and powerful. I barely fill one of those categories.

I'm not strong.

I'm not beautiful.

I've got brains, she can't deny that, but in anything else, I'm far from her definition of perfect.

I close the door and go to my room to put my stuff down and change out of my school uniform. Once I finish changing, I sit down at my desk and begin on my homework.

It's boring. Nothing new. It all comes easy to me.

I'm a straight-A student, taking all the honors classes I can as a 9th grader and I'm in the top of my class. My grades are the only thing my mom will ever be close to proud of.

I finish my homework and put all my work back into my bag. After that, I head down to the kitchen to help the maids with dinner.

Once dinner is finished, I eat alone in our large dining room, on a table the could fit at least ten.

It's not uncommon for me to be alone, but it still feels weird.

It must be nice to eat dinner with a family. Or to even eat with someone.

After dinner, I take a shower and finish my daily routine. I get into bed and fall asleep.

I'm lucky mom came home late.
