Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  after finishing bokuto's homework, youβ€”for no reason reallyβ€”wrote him some practice problems for the topic. a friend of yours was in his class, so you knew of their upcoming test. you were kind enough to write down the formulas and tips to remember solutions. perhaps this was your apology for sounding so rude. or you might've just been that bored.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  he wasn't there when you decided to call it a day. you left the papers there and wrote out a short note for him. you had your coat back on and your bag on your back, scarf in one hand a coffee in the other. your bagel was long gone and soon enough, so were you.

β€”βœ§β€”

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  you didn't hear from the boy for the next three days. you'd seen him in the halls at school once or twice, but he never noticed you. you kind of wanted to formally apologize for snapping at him when you first met. you didn't though; you didn't exactly want to talk to anyone at the time, even if you felt bad.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  the boring school day passed quicker than it began. you didn't have much work to do, which meant you had a peaceful weekend to look forward to. as you left school, you bid some friends goodbye and made your way to the gates. before you could leave, a voice called you.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  "hey! (L/n)!" the voice was familiar. you'd never heard someone so loud.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  you froze, muttering to yourself. "san. (L/n)-san."

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  you turned on your heel to see the tall boy from three days ago jogging toward you. he was in a dark blue shirt and white shorts. there was no way he wasn't an athlete. his body was way too defined to be just an average dummy. and...he's out of uniform. that was probably the first giveaway.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  "hey," he said, breathing heavily.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  "i don't work on fridays. or weekends. sorry," you say before turning to leave. his hand grabbed your wrist and turned you back to him.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  "i-i know. i just wanted to thank you." you raise an eyebrow at him, snaking your hand out of his grasp. "i don't know how you knew i had a test today, but those papers helped a ton. so thanks a bunch."

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  "that's good news," you said, trying your best to give a genuine smile. only the corners of your lips curled up. he chuckled at the attempt.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  he was such a cheerful guy. it almost wore you out just watching him in such an excited state.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  "i'll see you around, okay? we'll talk," he assured you, throwing two thumbs-ups your way. you admired his confidence, even though you knew it wouldn't happen. you never really made an effort to become friends with your clients, and he would be no exception. if he wanted your time he'd have to pay for it.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  you gave him a bland answer to send him off. "yeah, alright."

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β Β  he jogged away, turning around to wave at you. as he kept walking backward, he bumped into someone. you held in a laugh as you watched him frantically apologize. he waved to you one last time and the tiny wave you responded with practically made him glow.

he's definitely something.
