chapter two | no one's point of view

eileen sighed happily as she looked to her left. she was currently sat in the passenger seat of the jeep, her hand latched tightly in the boy's beside her.

dylan willingham. he looked over to meet her eye and he sent her a tiny smirk. she looked away in embarrassment as her cheeks heated up.

dylan willingham was a senior and he was an absolute cutie. he was tall, and he had shaggy brown hair with dark brown eyes. he and eileen had been talking for about two months now. they saw each other almost every day, they had both met each other's parents, and they had kissed.

if we were being honest, eileen was waiting on him to ask her out at any moment. he had messaged her two months ago, and she rejected him at first. the senior was the type of person who didn't let people in often, but he begged and begged to at least hang out with her. after they did, she was head over heels. he was so sweet, incredibly cute, and he was respectful to her parents and to her little brother ollie.

"you're cute," he states and she nervously laughs and covers her warm cheeks with her hands. he laughs again and just smiles at her. they were both driving to school, he picked her up some days.

as he drove, the girl got on her snapchat and started looking through stories. her eyes widened slightly as she viewed vinnie's story. he had just posted a mirror selfie of him. eileen stared at the picture for a few moments before sliding up and sending 'cutie'.

she didn't think anything of it, really. just like she didn't think anything of it when she dmed harry styles when she was bored in science class. or timothée chalamet. ross lynch, tom holland. the list went on and on.

as they pulled up to the school, dylan parked beside sam, his best friend. sam was dating halle, and that is how dylan found out about eileen. as they got out of the car, eileen smiled at her best friend sitting on the hood of her boyfriend's car. she waves back. as she makes her way over, her other friend jessie comes over and smiles brightly as eileen. "you look pretty today." she states and eileen awes. "so do you!"

halle's smile falters when she sees jessie and eileen together. don't get eileen wrong, she loved halle. but she was weirdly possessive over her. she didn't like when she hung out with other girls, which eileen found odd. they hadn't got to hang out a lot since her and sam got together. it was expected, i mean it's not like they were young. that always happens in high school. but it sort of made eileen mad how she expected her to not hang out with anyone else while she ditched her. eileen shrugs and continues talking to jessie while dylan and sam talk, while halle sits there with a pissed off look on her face.

they hear the bell ring for the students to head to first block, so they all walk in the school and part ways. luckily jessie and eileen had first period together so they walk to their english class.

"i don't get why she's like that," jessie remarks and eileen just shakes her head. "you know this is the third time this since she's blown me off? it's kind of pissing me off." jessie just nodded. "it would me too." "jessie," eileen sighs. "have you ever had a tik tok crush on a guy and it's like an actual problem?" jessie snickers, "have you seen my spam account? aaron hull could get it any day of the week." eileen laughs, and she feels relief. she wasn't the only one. "i genuinely have a crush on vinnie hacker." jessie smiles and pats her shoulder, "don't we all?"

as they sat in english, eileen mindlessly messed around on her phone. she was so bored. she decided to go on twitter and when she opened the app, she saw that vinnie tweeted "i can't wait to poop today". he was so random, and she loved it. he always knew how to make her laugh. eileen giggled and decided to dm him.

as the day went on, eileen was thinking about vinnie all day. it was weird.. this dude was literally tik tok famous. and eileen had a ton of celeb crushes, but none she thought about as much as she thought about vinnie. but as she watched his live streams of him playing video games she didn't like, she couldn't help but like him. he was so funny, and so sweet.. and lord was he cute.

she hated to say this, but she had been thinking about vinnie more than she had dylan these past couple of days. which was weird. as she walked back to the parking lot beside dylan, he nudged her shoulder softly. she looks up and he laughs at her. "what you thinking about?"

what was she thinking about? she was thinking of the boy who lived across the freaking country who she couldn't get out of her head. she was thinking of the guy who made her laugh when he obnoxiously dice rolled on his live stream. she was thinking of the guy who posted thirst traps in his bathroom. she was thinking of the guy she would never meet. someone she didn't even have a chance with.

instead she just shakes her head and sends him a small smile. "nothing."
