fangirl
chapter twenty nine | no one's point of view.

eileen just sits and looks at her phone. she's been reading her comments for over fifteen minutes, and they just kept getting worse. it was 12:30 am, and she was exhausted from the long and busy day they had. but she couldn't stop reading them.

god, they were so wrong. they were calling her awful things, telling her that vinnie deserved so much better.

it had been an hour since tik tok room had posted faith's comment, and vinnies comment back to her. she didn't know what to do. this was ruining her self esteem, because she wasn't the kind of girl they thought they were.

vinnie
hey eileen. i'm so fucking sorry about faith

vinnie
i shouldn't have even told her about everything that happened and i genuinely don't know why she went on there and twisted the whole story

vinnie
and i'm also sorry about your comments because they're fucking awful. i think the best thing we can do is do a live stream together and just explain what went down.

eileen
everything??

vinnie
yes.

eileen
vinnie i don't think people will like hearing about that

vinnie
i don't care anymore at this point. what i don't like is they're treating you like the bad guy when you're not. just go live and i'll request to be on it.

eileen sighs and stands up from the bed that she was sharing with jessie, and moves into the kitchen. she sits on the bar stool and sits her phone up. you could only see her torso, which she was just wearing a simple white cropped tank top. her hair was down and wavy, and she was so nervous to press the live button.

she eventually did, and people came in fast. her comments were already quick, some people supporting her, but most people were hating on her.

she then got a request from vinnie from him to join her live, so she pressed accept and waited. his face appeared at the bottom of the screen.

when the viewers saw vinnie join, they went ballistic. their comments were all about them talking together and shipping them.

he was sat in his gaming chair, and his phone was propped up against his pc. he was wearing a red hoodie, and his led lights were on.

vinnie's eyes widen when he sees the window behind her, and it's nighttime. "yo, i totally fucking forgot there's a time difference. what time is it there?" he asks.

the comments were going crazy, and eileen just had to ignore it. "like 12:30 am. it's like 3 in la, right?" he just nods.

"okay so um, me and vinnie thought it would be best if we came on here and just explained this whole situation to you you guys. you guys deserve the truth, not some whack ass lie. i know a lot if you think i'm this awful person now, but faith lied to you guys in that comment."

"yeah, do you wanna tell or it or should i?" he asks, and she fiddles with her fingers. "um i'll start and i think you should cut me off at that part. is that okay?" she asks him and he nods.

"so basically, i was you know on tik tok one day in like january, and vinnie had popped up on my for you page," she mentions. vinnie just watched her and listened as she spoke.

"um, so obviously i had a huge crush on vinnie," she says and vinnie's cheeks warm. he sends her a small smirk and she laughs and just covers her face for a moment. "so i doโ€” well i used to just randomly dm celebrities. like about anything. like harry styles, timothรฉe chalamet, tom holland, any celebrity i've thought was cute, i probably dm'ed them."

"so of course you know i had dmed vinnie and you know he never responded. i would send him like on random memes on twitter or just random emojis." vinnie nods.

"you should have seen what she she used to slide up on my stories about," he teases. she slaps a hand over her mouth and laughs. "don't even."

"but anyway, so one night, i got really really upset. this guy i had been talking to for two months had like hung out with another girl and posted about it. so i dmed vinnie on twitter. i was just talking about everything that happened and honestly just ranting. and i never thought he would see it but he did."

"yeah, i think it's still crazy how i saw it. because i was bored that night and just randomly went through my twitter dms. and most of them were gross, but eileen's was sad, because she was ranting about this dude."

"so, he responds back and i'm literally fucking shitting myself. like i had dmed so many people, and i never thought that one day one of them would message me back. let alone you," she explains and vinnie just nods, with a small smile on his face.

"so then we had talked all that night, and we had exchanged like numbers and our finsta information all of that. we got to a point where we got really, really close. like facetiming every night and justโ€” i-it was nice," vinnie explains with a soft tone and eileen just nods.

"so then, vinnie had decided to fly back home. and you know before i moved to la, i lived in seattle. you know, i had never really looked that much into vinnie's life whenever i had found him on tik tok, and i didn't even realized we had lived in the same home town."

"that's still crazy to me," he adds and she nods.

"so yeah.. i had flown down for a week. and um," vinnie stops for a moment to try and calm his breathing. there was at least thirty thousand people watching, and everyone would know what he did.

"me and eileen were hanging out one night, and she kissed me." eileen just slowly nods her head, and starts looking around the airbnb to distract herself. this was so embarrassing for her. people probably thought she was so desperate. telling her friends was embarrassing enough, now letting the whole world know was humiliating.

"and it didn't even hit me until this point that i wasn't ready to be in a relationship. like, in my whole life, that month my mental health easily at the lowest it had ever been. and you know, dealing with the hate you get online isn't easy. and i mean eileen wasn't an influencer, she was just a normal girl in high school. so i thought it would be better if we just didn't talk anymore, because i didn't want to put her through all of my baggage i have. i know it sounds cringy, but it's true."

eileen just nods and bites her lip. vinnie's fist balls up in a fist under his desk and he has to remind himself that there's so many people watching them right now. "so then, we had stopped talking because i pussied out and blocked her on every social media platform."

eileen just laughs. "yeah, definitely not your smartest move." he just laughs. "yeah, i'm not really proud of that." they both sit for a moment, just laughing.

"so then i had posted my tik tok that had blown up, and i had gained a ton of attention overnight. you know, keep in mind that vinnie had blocked me, so he didn't even know the attention i was receiving until tiktokroom had posted me."

vinnie clears his throat. "and then people had found a comment i had left on her tik tok when we had talked, and they started shipping us and stuff. and i made the stupid decision to say i didn't know her, because i thought it would be easier to say that, then to have to explain all of this."

eileen just nods. "then, you know i had moved out to los angeles, and i had ran into vinnie. he then like unblocked me and we talked. you know we decided it was just better for us to be friends. and that's where we are right now. i really don't know why this faith girl has even the audacity to act like she knows me, because i've only been around her once. and she wasn't nice. but i don't know why she thought it was smart to comment lies, but that's beyond me. i would never use vinnie for clout, and you know i just wanted you guys to know that."

vinnie agrees. "yeah, i don't really know why she commented that either." eileen just shrugs. "no point in wasting my time caring over someone i don't care about," she responds. vinnie laughs and they sit for a moment just looking at each other.

they finally look at the comments and most of them were asking about aaron, and if he knew they had talked.

vinnie nods. "yeah, aaron knew, but i mean it isn't a big deal." he tries to mask it off, and this was becoming too much for him. eileen just shrugs and doesn't even realize how bad this sounded until she heard it come out of her mouth. "yeah, me and aaron are just friends."

vinnie's eyes widen slightly and eileen's do as well. the comments were going crazy now, still shipping eileen and vinnie.

eileen just shakes her head and chuckles. "um, i should go you guys, it's late here. um i wanted to say thank you to all of you who genuinely listened to our story and everything. i hope you have a good night and i love y'all." vinnie smiles and says bye to his fans, before she ends the live.

what would aaron think about her saying they were just friends? i mean it really just slipped out, what was she supposed to say? "yeah we've only kissed once."

as eileen thinks back on the situation more, the more pissed off the gets. as she looks through her phone, she picks out a picture to post. she has a small smirk on her face as she posts it.
