hal πŸ¦‹

jess 🧸
okay

eileen πŸ§ƒ
alright

eileen's phone starts ringing and when she looks at it, it's an upcoming facetime from jessie. she answers it and props it up against her vanity mirror. she was currently sat, trying to get some homework done.

"ok either i'm a psycho bitch, or whatever but why does it piss me off that she's choosing sam over us. we've had these plans for a week," she hears jess say once she answers the phone. eileen nodded, "no i definitely think it's kinda rude. she could've left that part out."

"exactly. she's been getting on my nerves lately." jessie states and eileen shrugs. "im just chilling honestly. if she wants to ditch us to hang out with her boyfriend, that's on her." she hears jess sigh. "you're right. you still wanna hang?" eileen nods. "of course. what time will you be home?"

she hears jess make a noise before finally saying, "like, 10 minutes. you picking me up still?" eileen nods. "alright. let me know when you leave. be careful. i love you," jess says. eileen nods, "will do. i love you."

it had been about a week since eileen and jess had last hung out with halle, and even then it was only before school for about ten minutes. and halle didn't even talk to them, she was mad at them for walking in together.

truth was, it didn't bother eileen as much as she thought it would. she was just thankful she had jess, who she's been getting extremely close to lately.

she hears her phone buzz and she looks at it, as it's still placed in front of her.

dyl :)
hey what r you doing

e πŸ₯Ί

dyl :)
oh i was gonna ask if u wanted to go to the movies

e πŸ₯Ί
aw u know i would but i promised her. i'll make it up to u another time ok? :)

dyl :)
yeah for sure lmao

eileen eyebrows furrowed at her phone when she read his message. he sounded weird, she thinks. she shrugged it off and grabbed her phone before going to lay on her bed.

it was 7:45 on a friday night, and when she looked at her snapchat subscriptions, she sighed when she saw vinnie had posted yet another selfie. all you could see was him in the car with his finger on his chin and he was looking straight ahead. you could make out the black beanie over his tousled curls and the rings adorning his fingers.

eileen didn't even realize it, but she found herself smiling at the picture. she quickly shook her head and mindlessly slid up and said "cute".

jess and eileen sat in the coffe shop drinking their coffees. they had been sitting here for about fifteen minutes, just chatting. jess' phone rang and she answered it.

she looked worried when she answered it, and when she heard the tone of her mother's voice on the other end, she stood up. eileen looks at her with concern, but just waits for her to explain. she speaks for a couple of moments before grabbing her drink. she hangs up and looks at eileen hurriedly.

"dude you have to drop me off like now. my grandma is in the hospital," jess says. eileen immediately stands up, grabbing her phone and putting it in her back pocket. she grabs her drink and keys, and starts to walk out of the coffee shop. she throws away her drink and her and jess make her way to eileen's car.

as eileen drove hurriedly to jessie's house, the air was filled in comfortable but thick silence. eileen was worried for her best friend. her grandmother was old and she hasn't been feeling too good lately.

"text me if you need anything, jess. i'm serious," eileen says as she puts her car in park outside of jess' house. her friend nods and unbuckles her seatbelt and opens the door and gets out. "i will. i love you, be careful." she runs off to the front door and goes in the house.

eileen hated to admit it, but by the time she made it to her house, there was only one thought in her mind. vinnie hacker. it was weird. it had only been a couple of days since knowing him, and she was in way too deep.

when she makes it up to her room, she turns on the lights and plops down on the bed with a heavy sigh. she was bored, and worried about jess and her family. halle was with sam, so she decided she should try and snapchat dylan to see if he was still up for that movie.

when the girl gets on her recent snap last, a circle pops up over dylan's bitmoji. she taps it and she's met with a picture of dylan and a girl in the movie theater smiling.

her eyes instantly fill with tears. she was confused, why was this happening?

she was beyond upset and all she wanted to do was just talk to someone and cry, but she had no one to talk to. her parents were gone for the weekend for her little brother's baseball tournament, she knew better than to try and text jessie, and halle was with sam. the only other person eileen hung out with was at the movies with a girl right now.

she stands up from the bed, and she turns on her led lights and closes the door, going to lay back down on her bed. she shuffled her sad playlist and sat for a moment, just looking up at the ceiling.

why would he want her to meet his parents if he was just gonna play her?

she was upset, to say the least. eileen really liked dylan, and she thought he liked her too. these two months had been fun, and honestly, the girl was just waiting for him to ask her out any moment, and this happens. this always happened to her, she felt. boys always showing her interest, and when she finally lets them in, they break her heart.

she should have known better. now she was going over every memory of them in her head. should she have not sowed him that much interest? did she do too much? she rolls her eyes and mentally slaps herself. when eileen liked someone, it was always too much.

she sighs and turns on her phone and she decides messaging someone. she goes on twitter and before she knows it, she's pressed on her and vinnie's messages. it's a habit at this point. she had only messaged him about three other times. random memes, a random emoji. she shrugs before typing her feelings out.

why are boys so shitty

like genuinely

ive been talking to this guy for two months and i would like to say its like an unofficial official thing right

and he's like met my parents and shit, and so have i so he's not just some random dude

and this mf hung out with another girl tonight and posted it on his story 😐

at this point what is the point in even trying anymore lmao

and i have no one to talk to, my best friend is at the hospital, my other best friend doesn't care, and my parents are gone for the weekend.

lmao you'll never see this but i'm really sad right now and it's been a while since i've felt this down.

me rn

friday 9:46 PM

she sighs, wiping her tears before throwing her phone across the bed. it's silent in the room for a few minutes, other than the music playing softly in the background. her phone buzzes and the girl is quick to grab it, hoping halle had ditched her plans with sam to hang out with her. hoping she didn't have to be alone tonight.

her eyes widen when she sees she has a dm from vinnie.

vinnie hacker.

she shakes her head in disbelief and chuckles. this had to be a joke. she turns off the phone and as she waits for it to turn back on, she laughs at herself. vinnie would never just message her back. when the phone turns back on, she heads to her twitter messages and sees a dm from no other than vinnie hacker.
