As much as I would like to talk to him, I had other things to do, like to eat. I was seated and started scanning the menu. Once again I felt someone staring at me. I had gotten used to the feeling of people staring at me at this point. I lifted my eyes from the menu and looked up to try and find the source. My eyes met with green ones. Eren was sitting with Jean and a few others.

So much for let's be friends again, yet exclude me.

I hated feeling left out, I honestly didn't care if Eren was seated with them, as long as I was around others and not lonely things would work out for me. My eyes wandered back to the menu. At this point I was no longer focusing on the menu anymore, I found myself pondering on the thought.

Why didn't they ever want to hang out with me? What had I ever did wrong to make people hate me so much? Why did no one ever want to be around me?

As I was lost in thought I hadn't even noticed the waiter coming back to my table. They eventually got my attention and I ordered.

I didn't want to be here anymore.

I patiently waited for my food, waiting to just eat and leave. I wanted to get out of here as fast as possible. I slumped my head down onto the table, just trying to relieve myself of feeling like complete shit. I heard footsteps coming my way, I didn't even bother to look to see who it was already having a good idea of who was in front of me. I put my head down even further into my arms on the table, my leg lightly bouncing while doing so.

"Hey."

I recognized that voice, it wasn't Eren. It was Jean.

I sighed.

Jean was the second to the least favorite person I wanted to see right now. I hummed in acknowledgment of him being there.

"What not talking? Did something happen?"

Ya you, asshole.

"No.", I replied quietly.

"Why didn't you just come over to our table and eat with us? I would've covered you bill."

"Because I'm not feeling good." I lied.

"Well if you're not feeling good then why are you here?"

I was starting to get frustrated. I lifted my head up, shifting my gaze to Jean.

"Just wanted something to eat, and I was craving wings I guess."

"Ok.."

"Oh I forgot to say, I was excited about you coming to the party."

Why the hell would he be excited about me coming to his party?

"Why?", I replied.

I furrowed my brows, a sign of confusion. Jean seemed to read my expression and take the hint.

"I haven't seen you in forever, and you rarely ever come to parties."

He was right.

"Oh, I guess you're right." I replied.

"So what made you change your mind anyway?"

"I don't know guess I just got bored of being alone and staying in the house, you know?"

He hummed in acknowledgment .

"Aren't you here with some people right now?"

"Ya, it's okay though we just ordered our food so it won't be out for a while."

I hummed in acknowledgment.

Was now a good time to ask him?

I said fuck it and decided to ask what had been bothering for the past couple of hours.

"Why are you here with him ?", I asked.

He looked confused as to who I was talking about for a moment, before realizing.

"Oh uh Eren? We were all at Connie's and decide to come here since we were hungry. Why?"

"You know why Jean. I'm still not on good terms with him. The only thing that's at least lifted the tension is the fact that we both attend the same anger management meetings.", I replied.

He side eyed me almost suspiciously.

The hell?

"Do you know why he even attends those?"

I didn't know, I had been trying to figure out why ever since I saw him at our previous meeting. I would have never taken Eren for type to get expelled, so it didn't exactly make sense to me why he was at anger management.

"No, why?"

"About two months after you got expelled, Eren got expelled too. He got expelled for the same thing, fighting. He beat the shit out of some kid one day in class and accidentally hit a teacher in the process."

So that's why he got expelled, really?

"Oh, he seemed like the fighting type to me. I just never expected him to get expelled."

"That's about all there is to it, really."

I glanced over at Jean's table noticing their food arrived. I nudged him to let him know. He started exiting the booth, before stopping to say something.

"It was good to see you y/n."

With that he got up and walked back to his table. I found a slight tug on my lips starting to make an appearance.

Maybe things could go back to how they were.
