THE BODY OF THE BOY SLAMMED AGAINST THE METAL BARS OF THE CELL DOOR AS HE LET OUT GRUNTS EVERY TIME HIS BODY MADE CONTACT WITH THE HARD METAL.

Eren released a sharp breath before slamming his body again, trying to just slam open the door even without a key. His eyebrows were furrowed and sweat dribbled down his forehead continuously as the others watched hopelessly.

Mikasa grew worried for the boy and decided to call him out.

"Eren, it's not going to work," she admitted out loud and the boy turned to her, panting heavily.

"We have to get out somehow," he said before slamming against the door again.

"Eren," Erwin spoke up, stopping the boy from continuing his actions, "All we need to do is wait. She will return soon."

The boy sniffed and sat in the corner in defeat, his head was thrown back and his eyes closed shut. His heartbeat quickly and his arm felt numb. All he could do was wait but that wasn't the case for F/n.

The dungeon was as dark as she remembered it to be. After quite some time avoiding guards and being cautious of her surroundings, she finally arrived at the dark, traumatic place she wished she would never have to return to.

But she did. Or at least she had to for her father. Though, there was more presence that she had to encounter.

The approaching footsteps sent shivers down their spines. Historia had her hands clenched and eyes shut tightly, waiting for the anticipated cell door to open.

But it never came. Instead, there was a voice.

"Dad," the female voice greeted, causing the whole army of soldiers to perk up at the sound of her voice, "I found it."

"F/n?" Jean muttered, voicing everyone's thoughts.

F/n showed her father the necklace she took and was wearing and he smiled.

"It suits you very well, F/n," he complimented, "What happened to the guard's uniform I told you to wear?"

Just as she was about to respond, a voice interrupted them.

"F/n!" Eren shouted.

The woman turned her head in the direction of where the voice came from, immediately dropping her protective arm when she spotted the boy and the other soldiers in the cell.

"Eren!" she gasped, eyes widening while approaching the cell.

She scanned the place, glancing at everyone's faces as it lingered on Levi's a little longer before speaking up once more.

"Why? What happened?" she asked.

"F/n," Erwin stood up, "You're here."

"Why are you here?" she asked again.

"We came here searching for you," Mikasa stated, growing a small but visible smile at the sight of the woman healthy and well, "But got captured by the guards."

"They put us here and now we can't get out," Hange explained.

"Hange..." the woman murmured and the scientist walked forward, smiling at her sadly.

"Why did you leave, F/n?" she asked, almost in a whisper.

The h/c-haired woman looked down on the ground, seeing how her gown touched the dirty dungeon ground. She inhaled a deep breath, tilting her head up only to lock eyes with Levi Ackerman.

The man stood staring at her without his arms crossed. His eyes held a certain emotion she had not been able to discover. It was glossy, nearly filled with tears.

Her eyes glowed purple for a moment, surprising some of the soldiers but Levi stood still. A tear slid down her cheeks from her left eye and she looked back down at the ground.

"I'm sorry..." she whispered in response and the soldiers' hearts clenched.

They all thought it was because she left the place, wandering to a new one without saying goodbye. But it was more than just that, a reason that only Levi knew.

"It's okay," Hange murmured, wiping the tear with the pad of her thumb before letting it slide off of her face.

F/n walked towards the cell door, touching the handle as the lock rattled against the metal bar. She let it go and glanced at the boy when he spoke.

"We need a key," Armin explained and she nodded.

The woman took a step back and turned around, starting her search for the key. As she searched, the farther she grew from them. The father she grew from them, the more worried Levi became.

"H-Hey! Where are you going?" Connie shouted after her and she turned her head to face them temporarily.

"To find the key," she simply said before continuing to walk forward.

"Be careful," Levi muttered quietly to himself, staring at her back before she disappeared from his line of sight.

Walking in heels wasn't ideal; it was loud and rather annoying and hard to walk in. But she was too preoccupied to even let that fact get past her. She had a dream to save her father and her friends and instead got them in trouble.

She had to help them get out now.

Her heels clicked against the cold floor of the dungeon, head constantly turning from side to side as she searched for the possible key to open the cell door. She roamed around, passing cell after cell, some with filthy prisoners while others empty.

"Who are you to walk around a place like this?" a gruff-voiced man asked, "Must be some rich lady, aren't you?"

His lads laughed along with him while F/n just ignored them and continued along her way, her gown trudging behind her and her arms politely placed just above her hips.

"See you whenever, sweetheart!"

Ignoring them, F/n glanced to her left and spotted the locked room of some sort. It had a glass square at the top to see through it but F/n couldn't see a thing. It was dark and she just had a feeling that the key could be in there somewhere.

But just as her fingers were about to touch the metal handle, a voice interrupted her, causing her to freeze in place and her blood to run cold.

"There you are. I've been looking for you but you've been here all along."

"Lady L/n."
