THE AREA WAS LARGE AND GRASSY WITH TREES SEEN EVERYWHERE IN THE PLACE. But the first thing that caught Hange's eyes was the large, tall wall in front of them.

It was clearly taller than the ones back home and unlike F/n, they weren't able to see how many of them there were. Though, the scientist theorised that there were more than three, which was how many there were in their place.

The extent in size of the wall intimidated them but made her wonder if they were also made of Titans.

The second they stepped into the walls, everything looked different. It was similar but different at the same time, like, the buildings looked the same but the whole place looked different.

Erwin sucked in a sharp breath, blue eyes scanning the place as if he had never seen anything like it before. There wasn't anything really visibly particular about the place but it was just the atmosphere that was different.

It felt foreign, like how F/n had described it to be when she first went in.

The first thing that Eren and his friends did was look around while being guided by the older soldiers to go into hiding before being spotted by one of the many guards.

There were clearly more guards there than there were back home and they were clearly more serious than the Garrisons were with their job.

It was another reason why they didn't enter from the front and instead searched for an area to go in without being spotted.

They all had their survey corps uniforms on and didn't want to seem suspicious so used their survey corps capes to cover it up to make it seem as if they were citizens with oddly matching green shawls on.

Many were interested in looking around while the others just followed mindlessly the higher-ups and the people that seemed to be 'more responsible'.

Soon enough, they were all inside a tall tower, holding a lit up candle to light up the dark place even if it was just slightly. Murmurs filled the place while the higher-ups discussed what to do next.

"Oi, Eren," Connie called, "What do you think of this place?"

"I actually think it isn't very different from home, it just feels different," Armin said while Historia nodded in agreement.

"Me too."

"I think I saw a few sacks of potatoes in that stall," Sasha joined in, drooling at just the thought of potatoes.

The said boy hummed, however, taking his time in responding to his friend's question.

"I think it's a chance for all of us, especially for humanity," he said, glancing at his two friends who knew a hundred per cent what he was referring to.

Jean's eyebrows furrowed at that.

"I knew you were insane but I never actually expected you to be this insane," he commented, earning an irritated glance from the shorter.

"Shut up, Horse-face," he retorted and before he could insult back, the Commander pulled in their attention.

"Soldiers," Erwin said, not saying it in his usual booming voice whenever there was an announcement, "We will be disguising ourselves as the citizens of these walls. After that, we will be trying to find the innermost wall since we theorise that F/n might be in there."

"Innermost wall?" Armin repeated, "Why is F/n doing there?"

"There must be a reason for that, Armin," Mikasa said, indirectly reminding him of the conversation they had with Hange and Levi while the said woman was sleeping soundly.

The black-haired girl was referring to that there might be some sort of a castle for royals to stay inside the wall as they had theirs in Wall Sina. it was the most logical reasoning, honestly, but now, they just wished that wasn't the case.

Entering the first wall was hard enough but they knew it would progress harder and harder as they went inwards. The worst thing was:Β they didn't even know how many walls there were in total.

"Right..."

The soldiers arrived back at the tower, handing ragged clothes for everyone to change to. They grimaced and were utterly disgusted by them but complied anyway.

Honestly, they were still decent pieces of clothing but Levi just refused to change into them and stuck with the survey corps cape instead, only taking off his jacket and stuck with only his white long-sleeved shirt and his typical white cravat.

The army of soldiers continued their way through the many walls and every time they went past a wall, an overwhelming feeling would always wash over Levi.

But despite his fast-beating heart and racing mind, the captain held onto his expressionless expression.

He often clench and unclench his hands, anticipating what would happen once they found the female. He hoped everything would turn out well and that she was safe.

Perhaps he really was more than 'intrigued' with her...

The journey to the innermost wall took longer than expected and even when the sky grew dark, the wall never seemed to exist. Their situation got worse.

Two royal guards marched towards them, head up and rifle by their side, ready to be shot. Even though their heads were high up, each guard had their eyes scan the surroundings, searching for a possible mob.

They had their backs leaned against the wall and their bodies hidden behind objects but one guard spotted them anyway.

"Intruder!"

All the guards raised their weapons at that and the survey corps revealed themselves, not wishing to cause more trouble than they already did. But that wasn't it.

As one was about to cuff Levi's hands, he stomped on the man's foot and chaos unravelled itself.

They all took out their swords while the Aigragallians used their rifles to shoot at them. Surprisingly enough, the survey corps seem to dominate the fight, defeating a guard one after another.

Eren was struggling to take one down when Mikasa came and fought him off, handing the boy a hand before feeling shadows go over them. Sasha and Historia had their backs against each other, smiling victoriously before feeling the light decrease and their expressions falter.

Guards surrounded them and in every corner there was. The swords they held onto were still in their hands but soon grew useless to any of them.

At that point, they knew it was too late for them to do anything else. They were in trouble,Β big trouble.
