F/N WAS NO LONGER IN A STATE WHERE SHE COULD CONTINUE THIS JOURNEY BUT SHE WAS NOWHERE NEAR TO GIVING UP. Despite her body being tired and numb, she was still resuming her journey every time after resting on a tree or in a pool of water -- just anywhere that was Titan-free.

She and Ares have been living in her dome for many nights and they were soon tired of it. Or at least she was. Ares had been sleeping as peacefully as he had in the previous nights but F/n was too tired to even sleep.

Was that possible? She did not know.

The second she asked herself that question made her think about Hange and home.

Home. Was the place inside the walls really called home? Was that really the place she should call home? Could she call it her home? She did not know.

F/n stood up, shattering the dome and making a new one where only Ares was. Walking around the woods was one thing but walking with another person was another.

The night was chilly but it was calming and she liked that. The night made her feel safe and not worry about those ugly human-eating beasts. F/n faced the tree, the tallest tree in the woods that was towering over the other trees.

She remembered the times when Levi would train her, how he would push her to do more and more and yet he gave her food to eat and water to drink every time after training.

It made her realise that he meant well and that he was just training her to help her face the reality once she was alone without him there with her. And this was a similar case to the situation she visualised in her head on the training day.

F/n positioned herself in a fighting stance before throwing a punch in the air. She bounced on her feet before throwing another punch. Then a kick and then a flying kick.

Was she doing it correctly? Was this relevant now that she had these abilities? Was she strong enough to protect herself from what was to come at her? She did not know.

But what she did know was that she missed the place she called home, she missed the people back within the walls and she missed those nightly routines she had with Levi.

She missed them, all of them. Even Jean and Historia, who she had just briefly met. they were all a part of her life. They cared for her and she cared for them. She cared for all of them.

The morning came but F/n was still exhausted. She and Ares continued their journey under the shining sun. They constantly stopped for water as they could not bring it with them. That was the mistake F/n made that she regretted the most.

She should've been more prepared. She was rather unprepared for the trip, having had a lot in mind the other day.

F/n glanced at her hands, putting them face up and clenching them before unclenching them. The palm of her hands was sweaty from the grip she had on the leather reins. Taking a deep breath, she looked back up and squinted her eyes as the sun shone brightly.

A small dot was seen in the distance, so small that F/n had to narrow her eyes, even more, to actually see what it was. She raced to it, signalling Ares to gallop quicker. Although the horse neighed in distaste, it followed her orders and furiously ran towards it.

The figure grew larger and larger as they got closer. F/n let out an unconscious breath as she stared up at the tall structure.

The Walls were way taller than the ones back home. In fact, the Walls back home were nothing compared to these ones. Not just that but it had veins and mosses in some parts and there were even flowers growing on them.

Her mouth gaped at the sight before her vision got a little weird out of a sudden. But when she blinked, it all went back to normal and she stared right up at the structure once again.

The scenery changed. It was like the way she saw colours were different. On one side it was more vibrant and bright while on the other, it looked a little... ancient.

It looked old, like a book with brown stained pages compared to the brown-coloured, yet new and neat, ones. It looked like a ripped piece of clothing compared to a royal's clothing.

It felt different, being in here and F/n didn't know if she liked it or not. It felt so foreign that she was starting to think of getting back home to remember what it was like within the comfortable, towering Walls.

Oh, how she missed her friends and how she wondered how her friends had been doing. Were they actually worried for her? Did they read the message she had left for her?

So many questions...

F/n guided Ares to a tree and patted his forehead, creating a dome for him to not escape. The horse dug its snout into the green survey corps cape that was turned into a satchel for a longer time than it was used as a jacket.

She walked towards the outermost wall and stood in front of it. The large gate was very visible to her but she paused in her step. She started to question herself.

Should she really walk in there? Or should she fly up to the top instead? Would she be able to reach that high after only using her ability for a while? What would happen on the other side of the wall? Were there people?

Again, so many questions but no answer. It was frustrating. So she stayed there, mindlessly staring up at the large wall before actually coming to a conclusion.

She was going in there herself and found out what was wrong with her dreams. She was going in there herself and helping to save humanity.
